Have you ever done something comical because of wearing high heels? (Getting them stuck in a grating etc etc).

How about getting a heel caught in your dress while putting it on and then hoppin' around on one high heeled foot in a long flowing gown while trying to get it loose. That's always a good time.:o :p

One thing I know...I can't wear them with bi-focals! I fall all over myself!

Christine and Didi, y'all are hilarious! :D

I just recently got my first pair of 5" stilettos, gorgeous pink and white things I'm madly in love with, which I wore out for the first time to the club New Year's Eve. I spent most of the evening sitting down, having already learned from practicing at home how quickly they make my feet hurt when standing or walking. When I left the club about 1:00 am and was walking to my car, my left toes were in such excruciating pain I wasn't sure I was going to make it! I'm sure I looked like Gabby Hayes hobbling down the sidewalk.

As I stepped around the corner of the building into the parking lot, I met a group of people getting out of their car and through superhuman effort forced myself to display a ladylike posture and swishy stride. When one of the guys called out, "Looking good, sweet thing!", I managed to answer through gritted teeth, "Why thank you, honey. Happy New Year."

The next time I wear my 5" heels out, I may bring along a motorized wheelchair.

Yes, I have had my case of to many beers and a flight of stairs. D- near broke my neck in the process. Now I go down with my feet angled. It sure helps.

Yes, I also gotten them caught in a dress. Once again changing after a couple.

It's the little things in life that mean so much. Just think how funny we would look on one of those home video shows for CDs.

Cat meows. Melissa lets cat in. Cat has mouse! Cat drops mouse. Mouse is still alive! Melissa chases mouse around Kitchen in 5" heels for 10 minutes. Cat laughs ass off.

Hugs, Melissa :)

Does falling down and hitting myself on the hard floor count  Oooh did that hurt. My fault for wearing 8" heels...duh. Getting much better though.

Whoa Tristen! 8 inchers? You're braver than I am. Then of course, the floor / ground is a very long way for me to travel from my height.

No bad expierences in heels yet, both in public and private. I'm sure my time is coming though. :o

BTW, Tristen: My hats off to you if you can walk around in 8" heels with no prob! ;) :)

They were platforms. And the last thing you want to do when wearing platforms is twist you ankle the wrong way

Who dug this thread up? It's cool isn't it...like an old school register from January 2005.

Still no shoe story from me though! I NEVER do anything silly.

Not really, but being tall I only wear sort of 1 1/2 inch heels. Anything higher would make me look a bit silly really and I'm sure would cause people to look at me harder than the standard passing glance.

Julie, howmany of these threads did you start???

I don't know if this was funny, but it was strange.

The first time I wore heels, I wasn't used to the noise they made on the pavement. It was OK going to the club, there was quite a few people out and about so it wasn't noticable.

But going back home, it was quite lonely and quite and my heels were making a hell of a racket. The few people that were out could easily hear me and they all looked my way, some of these peole were a little shady looking.
So about four blocks from my apartment i took the shoes off and walked in my stocking feet. They were too noisy for me. Click-clack, this sound was no good if one didn't want to be noticed.
