I guess the question is how much can one get away with while not trying to pass? For example, these womans shoes have a 2 1/2 inch stacked heel but otherwise look like many of the mens styles. Is that too high for a man? The highest heel height I can find on Zappos is about 1" and the trend seems to be the ultra low/sleek/European look.

Back in the 70's, my brother use to wear 3-4 stacked platform mens shoes (remember disco?) but, times have changed.

Would you wear these in drab?

Had a pair like that for about two years, wore them in drab a lot. Finally wore them out.

Yes, I'd wear them in drab. I'm a little more conservative when I dress for work, but I think I'd give them a try even at work.

Yes I would. And I remember those high heel shoes from the 70s... Had a few pair myself!!

"Burn baby burn....disco inferno". <Pointing up in the air....hip moving to the beat>. Hehehe

I recently purchased a pair very similar as these. I wear them all the time. Don't worry, most don't even look at your shoes.

if that shoe is the one from Payless Shoe Source, I wear the same shoe in black every day.

I don't see why you couldn't wear them in drab. I have worn 2 1/2" heels like those and no one noticed.

I wouldn't wear them, I'd feel "conspicuous", and I'd hate that...but then, I am ultra careful. As my masculine self, I'm afraid its guys stuff on view only...no blurring of the gender lines here. If you feel comfortable in them then I say you should go for it.
