Hurray! I just got back to my hotel room after a grueling morning, and I have the whole afternoon and evening all to myself. Guess how I'm gonna spend it? That's right, I "packed for two" once again and I can't wait to get out there. Let's see....I think I'll wear a skirt, sweater, tights and flats to the nearest mall, where my objective will be to find a pair of low-heeled pumps. Tonight, I plan to put on something dressier, but not too dressy....maybe a skirt and top with a nice scarf and (hopefully) my new heels, and have dinner at the hotel restaurant. I've left the dreary Chicago weather behind, guess where I am?

Nope, not St. Pete, but I am in the sunbelt. Hint: I rented a convertible and I'm gonna drive to the mall with the top down. Always wanted to be a pretty girl driving a ragtop, as soon as my nails dry I'm out the door!

My first guess would be Scranton. But you said Sunbelt and it's cloudy today. Maybe L.A.?

You're getting warmer! What a trip to let the wind blow through my hair (okay, my wig, and it didn't blow off) in the ragtop. I fell in love with a pair of heels that were to die fr, but they were awfully high, and I just knew that my passability would take a nosedive if I wore them. So I settled on a pair of cute flats, and I must say they are the most comfy shoes I have ever worn as a girl. I guess it's a sign of my growing maturity as a woman. Anyhoo, I went to another mall, found a Hushpuppies outlet and there they were: pumps with low heels in my size! So now I have two new pair of shoes (I tossed out the beat up flats I brought with me right outside the shoe store) and I am trying to decide what to wear with my new heels. Getting hungry too!

More Girl than man

You got it, Sissy! I stayed away from the strip this afternoon and concentrated on shopping. After two pair of shoes, I thought I was set, until one of my earrings dropped off and disappeared - another wardrobe crisis! So it was off to the shop at Treasure Island that features jewelry for $10, found a nice gold and silver set of clip-ons, but they are a bit too dressy for my casual outfits, so I trooped over to Fashion Square and found a pair of gold hoops for $5 at Claires, and after a futile search for the perfect black dress, had dinner at CPK. Tip: a single well-dressed woman blends in at the restaurants at the mall, I get taken for a salesgirl having a quick bite after work. Then it was back to my hotel for Starbucks and the slot machines, now I'm cozied up in my little room, exhausted but exhilerated! My new heels hurt my feet, but not too bad, and I had forgotten how cool that clickety-clack sounds. Here I am, resting my weary tootsies:
