I've been experimenting some lately with the whole idea of going out in daylight. What an experience! So for a few days I've been planning. I have to come and go from my house in male mode, so the challenge is finding a way to transform away from home. I found a 6 story doctor's office with bathrooms on each level next to the staircase. The 6th floor was the less busy so that's where I went. The question, use the male or female washroom? They are non-locking and have two standard stalls. People can see your boots etc. So, thinking...it would be odd to be a male in the womens room so I went to the male, I changed and kept my male shoes on, good thing because someone entered and washed their hands while I was in there. I managed with pounding heart, shaking hands etc. to change clothes and wig it is difficult and I looked a bit deshelved, but when it was quiet in the hall I quickly exited and entered the female washroom to complete my makeup and tidy up. I entered a stall and began working away using a small compact mirror. As I was there a woman entered the next stall, did her business and left, I was glad I had my female boots on and scared of making a wrong move, but basically I froze until she was gone. All done, I looked okay, but a bit heavy on the bronzer so I looked like I had a sunburn on my nose.

All ready, it was down the stairs in high heal boots out the back door, back in my car and off I went. My nerves were shot and I was too chicken to stop and get out. It seemed like people and traffic were everywhere, so I just drove around a while and took in some observations.

- While waiting to turn a woman on a street corner was looking at me. When I looked at her she quickly looked away. She didn't have a shocked look or quizical look on her face so I think she was doing inventory that females do.
- A group of 5 constuction workers standing in a narow alley had to disperse to let me go by. No odd looks my way.
- At a traffic light a guy in a truck was stopped a way back beside me, but slowly moved forward to look at me. I didn't look at him directly, but I let him pass and I could see he was looking back in his mirror with a I like what I see type look, if you know what I mean. Anything odd and I would have seen a double take.
- Outside the doctor's office, I entered as a female while a woman was going outside to smoke, then I exited with the same large nap sack I entered with, but was now in male mode. She was still smoking. No unusual reaction from her (thank god).

When it was time to undo I was smarter and tried the wheel chair washroom on a lower level. I was able to lock the door and wash up fairly quickly with no interruptions.

What I learned, this is not for the faint of heart, it takes too long to get ready, clean up and spend much more than a short time outside. I need to get my wife involved and spend a whole weekend away. Proably won't happen anytime soon though. I might try going the local support group route, but they only meet once a month on a saturday night (hard to get away). Sigh. On a positive note, I think I pass okay and my confidence is the best it has ever been. I hope you enjoy my little story.

Whew - 6th floor, start in the M washroom, finish in the F, sounds exhausting. Looking at your profile photos, I'm sure you pass readily; great outfits, too. Next time, treat yourself to a coffee or something - I suspect you'll be fine.

Yeah Sally, just checked your profile. Not only do you pass but you're pretty :battingeyelashes:

Good thing you started in a doc's office. Your heart was probably beating so fast you could have had a heart attack. :heehee:

Thanks for sharing your story. That was great :cheer:

As long as it takes me to get ready I hope I never have to dress that way. Three hours is along time to be in a rest room. Thanks for the story on extream crossdressing Sally.

I remember the first time I went out in the daylight dressed. It was scary at first. Then each time I went out it got easier and easier, until two weekends ago, I went to a Tri_Ess Event. All day long (12-13 hrs) in a Hotel around other sisters and normal hotel guest and felt totaly at ease. Even got a "Mam and ladies" from guests.

It will get easier each time. Finding the handicap restroom, will help a lot, since you can lock the door. BTW, looking at your profile and avatar, you will not have a problem.

Sally,

You look great on your profile. Once you get comfortable with being in the world, you actually blend in better as you're not as tense. As a teenager I use to be able to walk our dog around town but I was almost 60 pounds lighter. When 26 years old, Jan spent a period as the primary person. As JoAnn says it gets easier with practice.

Wish I was still 145 pounds. It is a lot easier for me to be a thin woman versus a size 18-20.

Sounds like fun Sally......I love changing genders on the fly!! Here's a few things that I do differently.....first, pre-dress with all your lingerie under your drab clothing to speed things up a bit. Next find a place with a family or unisex restroom, hospitals, interstate rest areas, civic centers ..... They all are lockable, and have sinks and mirrors! I've even changed in a porta-john (the handicap accessible ones are very roomy) but bring your own makeup mirror....

Love Karren

Sally,

Congratulations on your daylight adventure. If you look half as good in person as you do in your pictures, I'm sure you had no issues.

All the best.

Wow Sally, first daytime adventure and you're already emulating our resident magician (Stealth) Karren H.
Next thing we know, you'll be cataloging all the best places in your area for quick changes, giggle.

Seriously, congradulations to you and I hope you get more time "out" soon.

Hugs

Sally,

Quite an adventure, congratulations on its successful outcome. As others have said, find what you can do to make the change easier, such as wearing the undergarments and/or already having your foundation on.

Karren is the queen of Transforming on the Fly and I'm certain she could relate many an amazing story. Using Karren as inspiration, I have made changes in some different places also. The travel stops with unisex restrooms on interstates and turnpikes are quite nice. I also have changed in my vehicle, a minivan, ALOT. A nice secluded parking spot, a blanket to cover the change, and I am good to go. I am becoming quite adept at changing in my minivan/changing room.

I've used unisex/family restrooms at Indian casinos, universities, shopping centers, and of course, truck stops. But, I've never tried a porta-potty.

I agree with Karren, that one doesn't need to limit herself to changing at home, sometimes, that's not practical, and sometimes the desire to change strikes when not at home. As the Boy Scout motto says - BE PREPARED!

I also agree with Kerrianna and JoAnn - you shouldn't have much problem blending in as a woman. So, Go, Enjoy.

I've got it down to about 15 minutes in a family restroom and since there are ones located on the Interstate highway rest areas entering and leaving southwestern PA (south and west from here)......I pretty much change genders when ever I go out on a solo business trip!! Makes those 6 hour drives to Western VA way more fun!! Hehe

And I always keep my eyes out for new places..... Saw a family restroom in Home Depot a while ago!! Kind of changes their moto's meaning a bit. "You can do it, we can help!". Lol

Ultimate goal to change in a phone booth.....Clark Kent to Lois Lane!! And back.... :D

Love Karren

Karren,

I haven't seen an actual phone booth in years, Good Luck with that. :) If anyone can do it, it'll be you.

Hi

Whoa!! what an adventure. You most certainly have far more "spunk" than me. I'd never be able to do that as I'd be freaking too much.

Looking at your profile, I'd say you would be seen as a pretty woman, because that is what you look like to me

To shorten my story a bit I left out that I actually did pre-dress a bit. I had on tight jeans over panyhose to hold up foam padding, belt, bra, top and on top I had male jeans, t-shirt, jacket, shoes. No makeup except I had 'broadway gel glue natural' nails attached so I also wore gloves. The reverse transformation woman figure to male is fun to see in the mirror when you do this. While out I added/exchanged for tall boots, makeup, bracelts, rings, earrings, wig cap held with hair pins, wig glued with spirit gum on the side flaps so hair stays in place. I also used a very tiny amount of the spirit gum to thin and shape my eyebrows. I did wear my necklace from home since it was almost impossible to get the clasp open with long nails. On the way home, I did the same, except I clipped the nails back to normal length (they looked a bit white and unnatural if looking closely). Removed the gum with rubbing alcohol and washed with soap and face cloth while out. At home removing the nails in acetone took about 1/2 hour. I might try just nail tips next time.

If I am better organized I think the time could be improved. In a small stall digging for stuff like boots to remove from a bag and putting other stuff away in the bag like guy jeans and shoes is challenging.

All the feedback makes me smile just thinking about it. Thanks!
