I wish to extend my thanks to all here at the board, the moderators, those who posted, and those who merely reflected on the fate of too many of our Sisters and Brothers on this the eighth annual TDOR. We have a long way to go before we can be safe and secure in expressing who we truly are. If your state does not have a Transgender inclusive hate crime law then let your leaders know that you favor one. Perhaps, some time in the future, the dream of equality and safety will become a reality.

The services that we held at MCCGSL had a total of more than 300 present and were a success by any measure. One woman came up to me after the services and asked for more detail on one of the names - the victim was from her home town and its possible that she knew the them. It is indeed a small world.

Hear, hear. Being relatively new to the TG/TS community, I went to my first TDOR memorial tonight at the DeFrank Center in San Jose. It was a very moving experience... one I'm sure I will never forget.

I also wanted to add: I got quoted in the recent Southern Voice (http://www.sovo.com/2006/11-24/news/localnews/somber.cfm) article about the Atlanta ceremony.
