For all of you who use an electric shaver, for the face, which make and model do you use?

The reason why i ask is that there is so many makes and models out there and some can cost a lot of money, i would hate to buy one and think what a load of rubbish. So I thought i would hear what you have to say about yours.

'you were so impressed you nearly bought the company'

I thought if i just keep on top of the growth then wet shave when the time comes when i need to be me.

I have a fairly expensive Norelco (rotary), and a bottom of the line Braun (foil). The Norelco takes the wiskers off much quicker than the Braun, but ultimatly they both leave pretty much the same results.

All I have ever used used was a Norelco, no other razer has touched my face or a blade, must be why even at my age I'm so pretty:D

I use a Norelco triple head for every day, but shave again with a Braun foil, when I'm going out "dressed". The combination of the two seems to give me a much closer shave, and no nicks.

OK I admit, i'm a sucker for product placement, so I bought the Norelco razor from the James Bond move Die Another Day. I mean, come on, Bond uses it <g>. Works pretty good but not the closest shave. I too am looking for a good razor with a really close shave

To add to the thread, does anybody know what the difference is between men's and women's electric razors besides packaging?

Braun 5775 - good enough and it has a battery so you can take it with you for touch ups. Probably $80.

I have the Norelco wet dry with the three blades and the goop that oozes out when you shave. Brand new barely used....It just does not shave close enough. I have found using edge gel and soaking a Gillette mach3 razor for 10 - 15 minutes gives me the closest shave. Every year this time I see all the Christmas commercials and start wanting a new electric that "might" work better than the ones in the past...that snowman riding the Norelco gets me every time.

I have a light beard so my Norelco does a good job if I shave everyday. For comparison if I use a blade I can go two days.

Hi. I use a remington triple floating head cordless model, reasonably priced at most department stores, under $100, handy for afternoon touch ups as well as main morning shave, not quite as close as blade but not bad. also have same brand foil type, but nowhere near as good

I use a Norelco triple head thing. It works fine for everyday if you have a light beard. I find that for the best results that you should not shave for 2-3 days and then it seems to work wonders. Doesn't work very well if you go out daily.

I have never found an electric shaver that did not leave me with a shadow. None of them give me a close enough shave.
Kerry says she can hear my beard grow. :D

Thanks for the tips, guys. I've been shopping around for an electric razor myself - sounds like most people prefer Norelco.

None of the electrics I have used gave a close enough facial shave. My favorite was a Braun. The best results I get is when I use a shaving powder. Remington sells it. It appears to lubricate the steel. Some of them gave adequate shaves on the rest of the body.

The best shaving IMHO is produced by dragging a sharpened pice of steel slowly and carefully across the hairy region after the said region had been properly lathered.

A couple of years ago, my dad starting taking blood thinners. He was going to throw out his old razor. The kind that uses the full size replacable blade. It gives my face the best baby butt shave I have ever gotten.

Careful though, that blade can kill you. I remember once when the cat jumped on my leg while I was shaving. Must have thought I was a mouse. I dropped the razor and it hit my cheek. BAD slice.

I've not heard of this Norlec shaver, must be one from across the water.

The regular ones over here are the Remington and Braun and either round foil or triple rotating foil. But like i say so many models.
