Wigged Out

I just got my first wig. It's not real hair although it wasn't a cheap wig. Looks good in my limited experience. I have a question though. Seems my synthetic wig gets tangled with the least little bid of use. I spend a lot of time brushing. Is this inherent in synthetic wigs? Anything I can do to help the tangles.
