I'm really shy about going out for the first time. How should I dress? Conservitivly? Just underware under my guy clothes? What good stores do I go to in my area (Salisbury), that are CD frendly? Should I wear makeup? Sooo many questions. I'd like to go further than my porch (just to look out for a few seconds), but I'm not sure. Any support guys... errr girls?

Gotta get you feet "wet" sometime Marie. You'll never know your comfort level if you don't try. Just take a deep breath, take it easy and be yourself, the rest comes by itself. I will say this. Sometimes we broadcast ourselves if we are self conscious. If you act as natural as possible, most people won't even notice. You have to go at your own pace though. Have fun. Ericka Kay

Nothing beats the thrill of walking around en femme.
But, as was mentioned to me, take baby steps.

Check out the route you want to take first.
The dress up (as fully as possible) and take a walk.

My own personal advice is go out when it dark and cold. This way you can wear a hooded coat and don't forget a purse with your ID in it.
Living in Maryland, the weather has got to be pretty brutal right now. You should take advantage of it.

I remember my first trip out of the door like it was yesterday...Three years ago now. Remember you are just a person like everyone else and no one will pay any attention. As has been said, just act natural and you will be surprised how easy it really is..

Hi Marie, Sorry you feel so shy. As others have said,go slowly at first. I've been going out dressed for quite awhile and I find it alot of fun and quite relaxing. I have perfected a sort of professional-woman look. Since there are quite a few in my area, I seem to"pass"very well. I usually wear a nice, high-quality skirt suit(above-the-knee skirts but not too short), a pretty blouse and heels(usually pumps, but I also wear ankle-straps). I don't wear too much makeup or jewlery, just enough to make me look pretty. I do take alot of time making sure my wig is nicely styled(hair is everything, you know). I just go out in the evening and do normal, after-work errands that every other woman would do, like going to the drugstore, browsing some magazines and buying a little makeup, etc. If I feel like taking a walk, I find a big office park or conference center and go for a nice long stroll, carrying my purse and some file folders or a laptop case as"props". That said, if you're not used to walking in heels, practice alot first. It's taken along while, but I've developed a quite natural feminine gait in heels and feel quite comfortable walking long distances without feeling self-concious. Watch how women in heels walk, they place one foot infront of another in small steps and they walk with their hips, not their torsos. Also observe how women in skirts enter or exit a car; they slide their butt in first, then, keeping their feet together, they gracefully draw their legs in. Practice makes perfect. Good Luck. Get out and have some fun.

Thanks ya'll! I'm not sure that it will be a christmas present or a new-years resolution. But I think I'm going to go out soon.

Wearing lingerie under your male clothes is not going out enfemme....we'll have to get a ruleing from the "Crossdressers Book of Rules" but I'm pretty sure it's not....yet... lol So just go for it!! Get all femmed up, go for a drive or go at night and start building that confidence level. Takes many trips out before you become confident in your appearence and your attitude towards yourself, enfemme...

love karren

I too have not been out beyond my backyard or a hotel terrace.. I am looking forward to attending a TG party in my area at some point soon. Theres a place called Triangles in CT. that has a TG party every 6 weeks or so. It sounds pretty safe and I'm going to try to hook up with a couple of girls ahead of time at a local hotel so we can all go together. Can't wait! I get excited just thinking about it!:heehee:

Try taking a drive enfem. The car will act kinda like a coccoon. This is how I first started going out in the daytime. Then it was stopping to fill up the tank, stopping to get a news paper, then going thru the drive thru to get a burger, fries, and drink. Be suprised what a pair of wrap around sunglasses does to disguise your face. LOL

Yep... that's it alright... wearing feminine underwear just doesn't qualify as going out enfemme.....sorry:(

But it's still FUN!! So do it, and do it often!!!:D

I suggest dressing up in what ever turns you on and take that drive....but remember.....baby steps make the thrill last longer!!!
