Yardwork

It's been raining so much here in SoCal that I coulden't do the yards for quite a while. I just had to do them today. Holly HATES yardwork! Can't do it dressed because of the neighbors so I have to wear my drabs... YUCK. Whenever I do something I don't like, I try and reward myself with something I do like... like anything girlie. Soooooooooooo as soon as I finish this post, I'm going to run a hot bath, make sure that there are LOTS of bubbles, light a few candles, and just enjoy myself. I do deserve it, don't I? How about you? What do you like to do to reward yourself?:p

Yeh he made me do yard work today and he broke one of my nails I am mad enough to spit nailsLOL. :mad: I'll fix him I won't let him be him for the next day or so. :rolleyes:

You girls are going about it all wrong! Gardening is VERY girlie. an excellent chance to get in touch with you feminine side. It gives you the chance for some fresh air and exercise. ...You have to put on lots of moisturiser and lipgloss with spf for the sun...

I just so love power tools!!! I love to snip and prune and shape bushes...

You can wear gloves, but it gives you an excuse to sit for an hour and do a manicure and pedicure afterwards... whos' going to argue with that after the hard work gardening???

You get to nurture and help things grow... I love to take out my little cane flower basket and pick my roses and flowers and do flower arrangements. Smell the wonderfull natural perfumes of the gardinia, jasmine, roses,and magnolias in my garden. use some of the petals in my bath after.

I don't see the problem???

Why not give yourself a manicure FIRST.
Then wear the gloves to protect them while you work.
...don't forget to wave to the neighbors, too. :D

Ladies, the bath was wonderful! Vanilla bubbles, cherry scented candles and soft music. I just sat there and let the tensions soak away! I got to spend a little extra time on my feet. Used a pummice <sp> stone to remove some rough spots. Now they're nice a smooth! And that will be alot easier on the hose! Thanks for all the replies, ideas, and offers!

we have a 2 acre yard "he" dose the yard work 3 hours to cut the grass ,anouther 1 hour to do the trim.........headges and plants for ever looks nice..........................

Every fri night its in the tub to soak away the weeks troubles. Need bath oil beads with rose fragrance. But back to the thread the YARD WORK. I do mine in a slightly short cut blue jean shorts, white T-shirt, my small forms so not to attract too much attention. and when the right person passes by I wiggle my butt just a little to let the world know Wilma can do Yard work too.
