I look like my mother.
But people always said I look like mother even when i'm in drab, so that's probably why.

I assume it is the genes.
similar genes ---> similar facial features ---> similar best fitting style ---> similar look.

In certain ways, I look like my mother and my daughter when I'm made up and looking my best. Actually, around the eyes I look like my daughter somewhat even in male mode. I have been told that I have "my mother's mouth and chin" by some of my relatives, none of whom know that I crossdress, by the way.

I bear a striking resemblance to my Aunt (my dad's sister). It's kind of scary...I look like she did when she was in her late 20s.

Yea so I've been told, my wife says I look just like my sister...
Boy would she flip if she knew:tongueout she is so ultra consertative, right winged...:heehee: she'd roll over in her grave and she is no where near dead either...
But it could be worse, I could look like her husband:devil:

 Ranee, In drab I am the image of my father. After the makeup and wig the refelection is an absolute image of my mother. It took me many times before I actually realized the tremendous, but very pleasing, difference. Unfortunately I don't have my mother's petite size and shape.

I'm adopted. I met my sisters for the first time at around the age of 50. There is a good family resemblance with them all, but I would swear one of them is my twin...if there wasn't a couple of years between us. This is in drab, you see I wear my own hair at shoulder length although it is now sparse enough that I need to wear a wig when dressed femme. Interestingly, they all think I have my birth mother's mannerisms, even though I never met her since I was "given away" at six weeks.

it was the one thing my mother found disturbing when I showed her my fav pic in my home made dress, she said it was very pretty, but.... when she looked at my face she didn't know if she was looking at her mother or her father (my grandparents) and it sorta creeped her out. It was only important to me that she found out about my cross dressing from me and that I didn't dress like Dr. Frankenfurter, beyond that it's not necessary to dress for her or discuss it further, and our excellent relationship remains intact.

When my sister saw me dressed for Halloween, she said " Oh my gosh you look like me!" The poor woman.
I borrowed my mother-in-law's wig and when I showed her the pics I said, "Here look at these", she not knowing what she was to look at, looked at them and said "What on earth am I wearing on my head (it was a crown)"? I laughed and said something to the effect that it's me at Halloween not you. She really cracked up, she's 91 and her eyesight isn't too good even with glasses.
She said I looked good (91 remember) and said I could keep the wig and have fun with it. My wife hated that I dressed up and doesn't know about Dana, so I just laughed with Mom and declined.
Just think two women are scared for life now. lol

In my family the gals are way too pretty for me to even think of comparing with. But my sister, 6 years older, used to dress me up because she wanted a sister... until I could outrun her! She insists that I looked just like her...maybe then, but not now!

No, thank God. My daughter is and my mom was a lot prettier.
One thing I have going for me though is I'm a blue eyed blonde and I'm not too tall(5'8"). Good characteristics to have for a CDer. I'm a little too heavy, need to lose some weight, maybe next year......

When dressed en-femme I could be the twin of my sister Anne who is 2 years my senior. This is fitting as I started to CD at age 12 by borrowing her knickers to secreatly wear every day and when in the house alone, wearing her skirts, bras, blouses etc. I also look quite like my Mum when she was in her 50s as I am now. I don't look anything like my father even in drab and apart from some DNA and a surname we really never have had anything in common at all.

I once used Photoshop to paste my mother's face onto Wonder Woman's body (as played by Lynda Carter in the 70's) with the intention of making her a flattering birthday card. When I'd finished it looked like Wonder Woman's body with my face! I had to bin it.
I guess I look a lot like my mum!

I bear a fair resemblance to my sisters. But; then I always have.
I inherited a bunch of old family photos awhile back. I found one of my:
Mothers, Mothers, Mothers, maternal first cousin. The first time I looked at it I got goosebumps. I don't look to close to her. I look identical to her. I found a few more photos of her and no matter what the pose we look the same.
While this is a really distant relationship. She and I do have identical Mit. DNA. I have no idea if Mt DNA has any bearing on looks or not. But; interesting none the less.
Love

Once I did the full makeup and put on the second wig that I bought, looked in the mirror and my aunt was looking back at me! She is my mother's twin. Jean thought it was just to strange. I haven't worn that wig in over 10 years!

I had some pics taken when I was totally made-up, and it shocked me how much I resembled my closest female cousin. My duaghter, who has some of my mom's features, showed some of my femme pics to friends of hers, who thought we could be sisters. Meanwhile, she has seen pics of her older bother, en femme, whom she claims looks very much like their mom. Go Figure.

OMG. I look just like my mother. That is what my wife hase trouble with. My mother past away several years ago. when I am Barbie, I become my mother. Only she was a beautifull woman. Actually she was the same size and height as me.
My wife is wonderful about "Barbie". But when she see's me "en femme" it is still a bit of a shock to be looking at me mom. They were very close. When I am going to dress at home and my wife is going to be home also, we do our make-up and dress togather. That way it is not quite the surprise to see me looking as much like my mother as I do.

Good question. I have been told I look like my mother when I'm drab. I know I do when I'm dressed.
Then your mom must be a looker!! Must be that NEPA water eh? Good stock comes from Pennsylvania.
This question may require a lot of future therapy!
I have my Mom's side of the family look, pouty lips, turned up nose. So maybe. My Mom in her day was a totally stunning woman...just awesome..hard to think of her as anything else besides..well, my mom...:o

We were looking at old family albums right after mother passed away last Oct and all of a sudden I was looking at a picture of myself. Now, I know it was not really me, since it was taken at least 30-40 years ago. So I asked my older sister who it was. She looked at the picture and said that is our Aunt Grace. I would love to put her picture next to one of mine, just to see how close we really look alike. It was really werid.

Rena looks like her sister twenty years and 75 pounds ago, I giggle:devil: at the thought of her sisters face if they were ever to meet. Ranee,
When I look at my drag photos I resemble my late mother (wrinkles, nose) and a bit further away, very like my own younger daughter, as one of my wigs is like her hair....uncanny.
