I have friends that have been calling me all day to come out and join them at a bar, but i just want to stay in and be dressed enfem and more and more I find myself blowing off social gatherings for dressing. I'm not sure this is healthy, does this happen to you, what do you think?

Aw Hun not good. Do get your self together and find some T-gurl friends and get out and about. It's so much fun and good for your whole out look on life. If you live around the Ohio Michigan area PM me. I'd love to have you along on my next outing.

Yup, it's time to screw up the nerve to go out dressed.

You'll get a whole healthier life outta it, babe.

Snap out of it.
Go and meet your friends and break the psychosis.

Do what you feel good about doing. If you feel good about staying home and dressing then do it. Don't be surprised if your friends come knocking on your door to find out what you are doing though. Becareful not to get caught. If it feels good and does not harm anyone then do it.

Well, spending time at a bar isn't exactly the greatest use of one's time either. Maybe you're just going through an introspective period.

I misread your title and saw something else instead of "shut". Now THAT might be a problem! :heehee:

Tightsgirl, honey dont stay in get out even in drab, its not a good thing to stay locked up for the sake of dressing. The best advise would be to find some t-girl friends and go out.this is what I am trying to do now because a girl needs to be out with other girls, needs to get out and have fun! Good luck sweetie.:hugs:

I too find myself staying home so I can dress. I dont think its very healthy either. Thing is I'm not sure where I am going with this crossdressing. At the moment "coming out" doesn't even sound desireable to me. Please no offense ladies :-) This is a private thing for me. So then what does one do who doesn't want to take this outside the confines of home?????

Staying in, or as a friend of mine put it so well - Finishing life at home in your spare time - is a bad, if not common way to go.

Best thing about my laptop, little Amanda Jane, is I get out a lot more (most of where I life is set up for wireless web) If I have to be on the computer, might as well be taking at the coffee shop, drinking a brew at the pub, or working on my tan.

I can't think of anything that is worth being a shut-in for. That stuff will make you crazy, I know all too well after far too many Iowa winters out in the country.

Go out! You must get some social life outside of the home unless you are in a committed relationship. Afterwards, curl up with a hot coco in your favorite nightie and do your nails, the warm glow of both satisfactions will be good for both sides of you.

Go out be with friends who know you and have fun staying home leads to depression. Enjoy who you are with friends life is to short to stay home.

I have wasted days staying home dressed, mostley in the winter when I don't even want to go out.

I really like staying at home when there are  blizzards, snowstorm's, torrential downpours, plauges of locusts, floods or when it's a bit too  chilly for my liking... eg. cold out.
