How many of us iron our clothes? I do...

Almost always. I've even ironed my wife's clothes. For her. :D

I try to buy stuff that is wash n wear when I can, but some my favorite things do need ironing once in a while. Sometimes if I'm on top of things and can catch the drier just right, I can get them out slightly damp, and hang them so they don't wrinkle. Could only wish to have a wife to help with these things. I iron when needed. Learned how in the Army when the uniform needed starching.

Hopefully not while she's wearing them... ;)

Ava,

I have to iron my clothes whenever I take them on the road. One of my favorite things is to explore a new city as Windy Cissy. Because I always stuff too many clothes in my suitcase, they are invariably wrinkled when I get to my hotel, but fortunately most hotels have ironing boards and irons these days. Thanks to the women business travelers for making the hotels do this! Standing in a slip and stockings and ironing the dress I'm about to wear makes me feel so feminine! Windy

I tried it once and made a mess a the dress, so give it up and like Bonny, I buy wash and wear and hope they look okay. I don't go out, so I don't worry too much if there is a wrinkle or two.

I don't iron and never have. When I was single I purchased wash and wear clothing and tried to stay away from things, like 100% cotton fabrics, that needed ironing. This includes my drab attire as well.

Christine Renee

Not this girl. I always make sure that the clothes I buy don't need ironing. But I have to admit, a long time ago I did my own ironing.

but I really hate wearing wrinkled stuff. Some things I will even use spray starch on. It imparts that crisp feminine feel.

I am dangerous with an iron. I'll just get the dresses dry cleaned. :)

I do most of the ironing - with military creases (you know the kind that you can cut paper with).

Hi Ava,
I always iron my clothes and the wifes as well and I am always dressed up for this occupation and others like the hoovering and the dishes. Does this make me a downtrodden CD housewife?
Love & Kisses,
Toni

But did you only iron your wife’s cloths so she could not tell you had been wearing them???? LOL

Yes I pump iron too, thats how I keep from getting wrinkled.

LOL

No seriously, I do Iron when I need too, but I try to avoid it by buying wrinkle free or by hanging clothes that wrinkle before they are completely dry. While there is still some moisture in them I hang them so they don't sit under a pile of other clothes in the dryer and get perminet wrinkles that have to be ironed.

I iron when needed but it's not my favourite chore, I also hope that nobody phones whilst I have the iron in my hand. :)

JJOUCH Julie.

I always iron my own. If you want something done right, do it yourself.

I only iron when I absolutely need to, and the pile of clothing tends to pile up quite a bit before I finally break down and get it done.

Ava, I'm going to take this opportunity to say...

You pretty bitch! ;) (that's me-speak for you look great)

I, sadly, have never owned enough of a wardrobe to merit ironing... it's all always lived in secret plastic bags buried deep somewhere... but that's all about to change. Besides, if Ava irons I gotta, too! ;)

I voted for "no not normally". Most of my stuff is wash-n-wear, but some of the tags say ironing is optional though. :)

You are lucky Vallari, or maybe smarter at buying clothes than what I am. I burned clothes, house, etc. Dangerous with that there contraption. :D
