This is a long post but (hopefully) well written and entertaining. Pics are posted here: http://crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47404
It was a beautiful Central Florida day yesterday, 82 degrees and sunny, so I decided to drive down to the International Plaza Mall in Tampa. The drive takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Orlando. I did my makeup, got dressed and took some pictures. I then walked out to my car to start my trip. Those first few minutes of being out en femme are such a rush.
I made a stop along the way at a 7-Eleven in Winter Haven to get some bottled water. Besides buying the water, I did something a little crazy (and kinky) which is not really appropriate to post here so PM me if you want the details. As I left the store and went to my car, A local resident (i.e., redneck—Winter Haven is a rednecky area) looked at me and looked at my car (I was driving a nice sports car) and smiled an ear-to-ear smile and said “That’s a mighty nice Christmas present.” I said “Thank You” and smiled at him. Well, he walked slowly into the store, his eyes on me and smiling. When he got in the store, I saw him say something to the male cashier and they both looked out at me and smiled. I smiled back and drove away in my car. I’m sure I was in his dreams last night (if he only knew what was underneath my skirt).
I drove the rest of the way to the mall, and walked in through the Dillard’s entrance. I asked an SA (Sales Associate) where the Ladies room was and went in. It was crowded, about ten women were in there. I combed my hair and as I did my wig moved a little so I automatically adjusted it. As I did this, I thought to myself “oh no, that was not smart” and I looked in the mirror and, sure enough, a woman was looking at me. She looked away when I saw her so I don’t know whether she thought anything was amiss.
I walked out of Dillard’s into the mall and proceeded to hit every woman’s clothing store in the mall. My goal was to find a few long sleeve tops to go with the four skirts I bought my last time out. I found a really cute green silk top in Talbots so I tried it on, it fit perfectly, and I bought it. This gave me the chance to use my new wallet (Brahmin) for the first time (it matches my purse). It was cool to pull the wallet out and use it with my long tapered polished nails.
I hit some more stores and got a few compliments on my shoes (that they were “very cute”). I then found my favorite place in the mall, a kiosk that sells rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. I love this place because all the merchandise is my style, it’s quality stuff, and not very expensive. Also, the SAs that work there are very young (probably late teens or early 20’s) and very personable. I bought a pink bracelet and matching ring. The SA really tried to sell me some matching earrings. I was dying to buy them, but I don’t have pierced ears (I so wish I did). As I was leaving, she complimented me on how nice my jewelry was.
I wound up back at Dillard’s looking for one or two more tops. This was when the high point of my day occurred. I found a really nice top and asked an SA if there were any more like it. She said yes, and she would get them and bring them into the dressing room while I tried on the first one. Well, she came to the dressing room with another SA and they had about five tops and she said, “We think these will really look good on you”. I was in the dressing room and I overheard the second SA saying “she’s wearing a jeans skirt and really cute shoes.” A third SA then came in with about five more tops and said “We think these will look really good on you too.” She then introduced herself and asked my name. I had to catch myself before replying “Judy” as my initial reaction was to give my male name. Well they kept bringing me tops to try on and I had to laugh at some of them. One had buttons the size of pinheads and loops to put them through that were even smaller. I worked for about two minutes and managed to do one button. It then took me another two minutes to undo it. Another had a loop that went around the neck that you had to put your head through to get it on. I think you’d have to have a head the size of a five year old to accomplish it. I took two tops I really liked and went out to pay for them. All three of the SAs were at the register and I joked with them about the tops with the neck loop and small buttons as I paid. This was such a great experience as these women were all in their late teens or early twenties and they were treating me like I was one of them (I’m 45) and not like an older woman---it was really cool!
By this time it was late and I needed to start the drive home but I remembered how cool it was buying makeup en femme my last trip out. I found a store directory and saw they had a MAC store and it wasn’t far away. So I went in and asked an SA for some blush. She asked me “what shade” and I replied “what do you think?” She looked at my face and asked me to hold out my hand and put some on it and said that was the right shade. As I was paying, I asked if they did makeovers there. She said “yes” and gave me a card and told me it was $50 and to call ahead for an appointment. At some point, I am going back for a makeover.
I left the mall and walked to my car. I decided to find a Starbucks and get a tea and bottled water for my drive home. I stopped a security guard and asked him where the closest one was. He told me and I noted that he talked to me in a much softer and nicer way then men talk to me when I am in guy mode. I found the Starbucks, purchased my drinks, asked where the Ladies room was, went in and used it. I then drove back to Orlando.
