Female impersonation is a pretty widespread technique among marine organisms. Among many species of fish there are smaller males which have coloring like the females. And when the female and macho males aren't looking these smaller males take advantage of the females, flushing out the macho male's sperm and fill the female with his own.
i believe some lizards also do the same thing.
Unrelated, but also interesting, some female fishes switch and become male if the dominant male dies, and that some lizard populations are completely female, and are able to fertilize eachother.
