As the title says really.
Back in September I was looking at houses and I put an offer in to buy one.
While the wheels were in progress, in early October I was talking with Mum about a trip out Christmas shopping and getting birthday presents for my youngest. A few days later Mum was suddenly taken into hospital and by the time I arrived she had passed away. Dad asked me to move in with him, which I did and I've only had very limited internet access since then.
I have now moved into my own house again and, after a months delay I got a phone line a couple of weeks ago. I was told I would have internet on the 29th December, but I noticed yesterday the light was on on my router so I tried it and here I am.
In the mean time, while Dad has been sorting through bits and pieces he found some photos of me (and my brother) from about 35 years ago, when I was a little girl. When I say photos of me, I mean photos of me - Rachel!!!!!!! :D I have one proudly on show in my house now. I showed it to one of my friends the other day and she looked and didn't know which was me - the girl looked a bit like me, but she was a girl and the lad in the photo didn't look like me at all!

Anyway, I'll be 6 months post-op on Boxing Day. Doesn't time fly!
I've had no problems, no complications and my dilating has now reduced to a much more sensible time every day. I have been back at work since early September (and had very few days off). I am loving being myself after so many years, despite spending most of my time at work. I am so comfortable and relaxed with myself now, loads less inhibited and much more outgoing (by my standards).
I just love life now and I'm so proud to be 'me'.
I had to give my boyfriend up eventually. He was just after one thing and wasn't prepared to do anything for it and I'd had enough of him. Not to worry, another one will turn up at some time who hopefully will be prepared to at least wine and dine me to get what he wants :heehee: .
