My SO has received some legal advice which led her to believe my position (largely as the primary caretaker of our children the last 8 years) is stronger than she originally considered. She has now offered to play a years' rent & food in return for leaving her - but remaining available as childcare when she works. OK.

I went to Craigslist and - no joke - my first call yielded a good possibility. The guy said 'Wow, I just posted that 5 minutes ago.' Surprisingly inexpensive, close to my kids, charming. Needless to say, I had no idea what sort of person was going to answer the door - and vice versa. He didn't even flinch. Gay - and out, he is.

So, bingo! I move into my own quarters January 1st.

That's great news DT. Rumi writes, when someone close a door, God opens up another! I truly believe that. We go through transitions, Duh - don't we? and all the time something new opens up. Amazing isn't it? I hope for you that the new year (what an illusion anyway) will be good for you. we tend to think of our existence in terms of 360. Is that weird or what? I think in sevens would be better, but then again?
Thanks for sharing and your always great spirit.
hugs
