Ive recently been searching the net too see if i can find some oversized shoes that i may want to buy. Unfortunatley all ive been able to find are heels! (not that theres anything wrong with em :D :p ) What i really want is like a nice pair of mary janes, or those ballet looking shoes, something cute. I would be about a size 12 or 13, and the biggest ive found is 10 :( (you go down from male size, right?) will i be doomed never to wear these shoes?? lol

You know what I really can't find, is high thigh boots to fit me. All the boots they sell in the high streets are for these really skinny girlz.... well I'm not skinny and don't have nice slim legs.... they aren't like tree trunks, but they aren't slim either. Any ideas??

Tamara,

I have exactly the same problem!!! It's so stupidly difficult to find knee highs that fit (I've never even tried thigh highs on - one look at the pointy toes tells me my feet are never going in even if my legs do!) - I've not got at all fat legs, they're nice and shapely actually (that's not me being vain, it's what my bf told me, so it must be true :p), but boots just don't fit over my calves :(

I found one non-leather uppers pair that fitted because they were a bit stretchy, but my ultimate plan is going to be to have some made for me. Right after I win the lottery :D

Well I can get in those pointy shoes/boots and some I can get over my calves with a push.... I only have size 5 (uk) feet... if you win the lottery........can you have some made for me too??? :D :D :D

You girls are really going to hate me, but I just pop along to my nearest shoemaker, look through a catalogue and pick out what I want in any color and get them made custom fitted for me for $20 a piece. My size 9 (UK) are no problem for them. They keep telling me that the heels will break with my size but they never have. I have about 50 pairs in my collection.

My recommendation, book a holiday to the Philippines and bring a large empty suitcase and stock up on every conceivable style and color you can dream of. Not sure what customs will think of it. :D

I find that payless shoes has a fairly good selection - that's where I bought my size 12 and 13 heels from - still looking for that sexy 'strappy' sandal... :)

In the UK places to try include:

We brought some custom made thigh boots from Cover Girl Shoes in London about fifteen years ago, same problem, fat thighs. Expensive but well made, we still have them. Unfortunatly I no longer have an address for them and can't find a web site.

This is great stuff. I find it amazing how much we can all learn from this forum. I am now going to find me a cobbler. Does anybody from the Seattle area know of a shoe maker in the Puget Sound area? I guess I could check the yellow pages.

My wife has a pair of what I'd call "Bootlets," shoes that rise up just above her ankles. They have these nifty looking hooks instead of eyelets, and they are pointed. I've seen them in pictures of women from the turn of the century (19-20), and I think they are sooooo sexy. I'd love to have a pair that are high heeled.

Anything above size 11 (US) is a real pain in the neck to find

You can get up to 15WWWWW :) in platform PVC heels or pumps shoes departments on the web, but not the "normal girl" stuff. Not up my alley at all (OK maybe once or twice in a blue moon :p ) I also love Mary Janes, sandals, ballet shoes and many other styles EXCEPT plain pumps.

eBay is often useful, and as you're in Canada, Nine West makes some shoes in 12 you might want to look out for. Visit their web site. I've visited PayLess when I travel to the US, but I'm not sure if they exist in Canada or ship there.

I have the opposite problem - trying not to buy every good looking shoe I find in a 12W. Just lucky I guess to live a few miles from the Nordstrom Rack where they have gobs of great shoes up to size 13 at super prices, know how to use the Internet, and have an eBay account. Got a great pair of flats just a few weeks ago. Luckily I was outbid yesterday on a pair of black pointy toed stilletto heel boots!

I think the shopping gene is part of what makes being a CD so much fun, although there are times I think I should call in an intervention on myself! I have checks! I must have money!!

The shopping gene is great!!!!

I just filled in a consumer survey from Victorias Secret and told them they should stock more size 11 and also size 12 shoes in the feedback

I have shopped and purchased from these fine stores.....

www.zappos.com (can search by size, style or brand if you like)
www.crossdresser.com

I have gotten great deals and styles from them both. The only one that does not offer discreet delivery is zappos but they sell mens shoes too so shouldnt seem corious at all receiving a box from them. I used to shop at more but they no longer exsist it seems so sorry I didnt have more to post.

Kisses, Marissa.
