View Full Version : If you had a job where you could wear your femm clothes, would you?

I did at one time...
Years ago I worked as a security guard on the night shift 11pm to 7am. The bldg was part office and warehouse and there was nobody around during the night. I had this big clock called a Detex clock that I carried around with me and walked throughout the building where there were key stations where I would walk to, put the key into the clock to 'record' my time. I had to walk a tour, once an hour.
The lights were dimmed throughout the offices and the warehouse part, although there were a few windows, they could easily be avoided by walking down different aisles.
I remember one night that after I relieved the guard, I quickly went into the rest room and took off my uniform and slipped into a pair of pantyhose and a full length black slip I also brought a pair of high heeled strappy slingback sandals with me. I put my uniform over my femm clothes and walked the first tour in my mens clothes. This gave me a chance to check over the bldg, adjust the lights and to see what shipping bays were blocked by trailers.
We only had one camera and it watched the loading docks and was not hooked to any recording devices. Luck was with me as I saw that 3 out of 4 docks were blocked by trailers, leaving only one free. I dimmed the lights in that area.
I decided to change my uniform for the next tour. I took off my flat shoes and slipped into my heels, but left my pants and shirt on. Part of the tour took me to the main entrance and the cops had a tendency to make the driveway part of their radar trap.
So I headed out for the first stop, the main entrance and came to a stop at the corner before the entrance and peeked outside. Nothing there, good...I walked to the first key with my heels clicking on the tiled floor. I put the key in, turned around and walked to the 2nd key station. That was down a corridor that could also be viewed from the outside
I recorded my presence at the 2nd and third key stations as well. When I got to the end of the hallway, I could turn left and go back to my office, or turn right and walk into the warehouse where the other 11 key stations were located.
Well, I had the side door securely locked and nobody else had the key. One would have to physically break in the door to get inside. So I was pretty safe. At that point I turned to the left and walked into my office and took a flashlight with me as I decided to change into my other uniform. I put the clock down on the desk, slipped out of my pants and took my shirt off. I was going to walk the rest of my tour in my slip, pantyhose and high heels.
I grabbed my clock and headed for the warehouse. The carpet ended at the warehouse door. Gone was the silence, to be replaced by the clicking of my high heels. I walked onward to my first station and turned the key. Next was station two, I couldn't walk in heels as fast as I could in flats but I trugged along. I turned the corner to station two and I could feel the slip swinging around my legs as I turned. It felt wonderful.
My heels clicked down the hall to the other stations. There was a long walk ahead of me and I continued to click my heels on the cement floor and to sway my long slip when I turned the corners.
When I got to the one open bay, I turned on the flashlight and lit the way as the overhead lights were turned off. When I turned my last key, I headed for the office to do the paperwork. I put the clock down, headed to the door and peeked out the window to see if any truckers were waiting for me to return. They sometimes delivered trailers during the night. As usual, there was nobody there.
Before the next tour, I found the light switches that controlled the lights for the inside corridor and shut most of them off. Leaving one one or two of them on, I could walk the entire tour in my slip.
When the next hour came up, I grabbed the clock and flashlight and walked the entire tour in my slip, pantyhose and heels. It felt so good to do my job enfemm, but I had my uniform close by, just in case the inspector made a visit for a uniform check. He never did and I did six more tours enfemm. I took off my feminine close before my shift was over. The next day I would wear a dress, but thats another story.

If it was perfectly ok I'd wear any of my 70+ skirt suits to work. But then I might get tired of the dry cleaning bill!

For some people getting a new job is no big deal. So the answer to the question is how would 'getting caught' dressed affect your job. If it would cost me my job or cause much personal embaressment then certainly no. On the other hand, in fantasy land, I work dressed all the time. However, come to think of it in fantasy land I own the company!!

I DO. I build and design theatre sets for community arts groups.I construct and paint all the sets in my own shop. I have my work femme clothes generally a short jean skirt and 4" school girl pumps with a thick heel. I alway wear panties and most days a bra. Some days I will wear my 5" heels for a while just to get my leg musles used to to them. I have a smock that I wear it hides most of the skirt in case some one drops in or walking between buildings someone drives by( got to keep the neabours guessing.) I do however have relative privacy living in the country on a acreage. It is great I don't know what it is but I just feel better Dressed in a skirt and heels.

Yup sure would. Then again I would do what I do now in fem clothes if my neighbors would just move away. Farming in a skirt would be different. (poultry)

OMG I'd love to be able to do my job fully dressed. However, being 14 feet in the air on a ladder wearing a dress and 4" heels just doesn't seen right.
Now, if I had a job that allowed me to "dress" everyday I MOST assuredly would.

I have my own consulting business. So I can wear whatever I want. I have no one who is my boss to say what I should or should not wear. I could show up in a business suit, an evening gown, or dirty jeans and cowboy boots... I just wouldn't get many contracts doing that.
Now if one of my clients said something like, "We'd love to give you the project, but we have too many white, middle aged guys here already. We need to contract out for more diversity." Well, I can't be a racial minority, but I could transform myself into another minority... But it's just as likely that I'll win the lottery and retire.
Warm regards,
Christina Nicole

Ok, If I could wear fem clothes at work that would mean that I was "out" to everyone. (Boy I wish !!!) But here in backwoods Tennessee, some closed minded fool would run his mouth and I'd have to beat him with my purse. (haha) But there is always under dressing, ALWAYS !! Kaitlin

Yes it would be nice to be able to dress femme at work. I could just see it me in my skirt and lowcut top driving a forklift nobody would get any work done they'll all be to buisy looking at my great legs. But thats just a dream and they rarely come true for me.
As karren hutton once said " if i could dress all the time it might take away the luster of dressing and i might grow to hate it " so i'll stick to part time dressing for now.

I think that all CDers would dress up at least once in a while on their job if they didn't get caught, would't get fired, wouldn't get ridiculed the rest of their life, wouldn't get the shit kicked out of them, wouldn't get demoted. Did I miss anything?

If I did go to work en femme, I would only do so openly, with the consent and support of my employer and co-workers. I hate trying to sneak around.

Well, I Drive semi and have been known to wear a bra and panties quite often in the cooler weather. Even on rare occasions I have been known to wear a blouse also, of course this is at night, when nobody can see. I really feel good inside when I dress and less stressed. The other dya I was upset because I had to work through Friday night into Saturday mourning. I was so upset that while talking to my Lady, she said I want to talk to Amy. Amy can handle the problems and doesn't get that upset. I have also put on clear fingernail polish too.

If, (notice the if), there was a job where I could make the same wage or more than I did before I retired, and if they would allow it without any trouble, I'm sure I would... If... But just where is this workplace that accepts crossdressers for employees? Maybe I'll go back to work!

Yes I would do it in a heartbeat. It would be wonderful not to hide my femmy side. I'd love to have a job that required an uniform, nurse, flight attendant , hooters girl- well i can dream, right. One job that that i had a female co-worker know about my interest in crossdressing. She invited me to her halloween party , she dressed me up as her Serving Wench.
I spent the night serving drinks and food to her guest- i was in heaven.

If i could i would. And just like your story the same idea had crossed my mind.
I'm one of the key holders of our works building, its only a small unit on a small estate and i thought about going in to work extra early with my panties hose and bra on under my male attire and change when i'm there to do a bit of office work or just to hear my heels on the concrete floor of the warehouse.
Although thinking about it gives me a buzz just like the first time i went out en femme, if by chance i got caught, was it worth it.
Mmmmm....

I guess I would too. But I would actually prefer being allowed to have the option. Sometimes work en femme and other times in drab.
It goes back to "sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don't." LOL

Misty,
Sounds like you had a lot of fun that night as a security guard!
I'm having a hard time imagining you chasing down a would-be
robber in your heels and pantyhose! haha! :) Can you imagine
if you did catch the perp? He'd never live it down in prison.
"I was caught by a crossdressing security guard, who chased
me down wearing nothing but heels, pantyhose and a slip!"
hahahahahah!
Yes, if I could wear at work I would. I have, but only when
nobody is around and there's virtually no chance of anyone
being around unexpectedly. That's rare. The job I have is
notionally supportive of gender expression. I've seen a few
people who are living full time in non-assigned gender, but
pre-srs. They don't seem to have any problems, but they
do not work in the specific division I work in. Given that I
have a family depending on me bringing home an income, I
choose not to rock the boat. If it were me, by myself, I might
be able to screw up the courage to come to work en femme
after consulting with my boss.
As all of us I'm sure agree, I think it's unfair women can
wear whatever business appropriate men's clothes they
like to work, without fear of being fired over it. Here I sit
in hose, heels, white skirt, and pink top...and I can't do
this at work. Why? I don't meet with any customers/clients.
I am no less or more effective in my work if I am dressed
like this. It's just because *other* people find it uncomfortable.
Sigh.

Yes I would wear femme clothes at work if my employer would allow that. Which brings to mind how I would feel about "some" of my co-workers - in this fantasy, remember it is a fantasy!:heehee:
I just know that there would be some men and women to whom I would have projected an image of myself - a macho kind of guy with lots of success in individual sports - running, skiing, drinking, hustling chicks, and etc. There I would have an image problem! :o
So while I would do "it" if my employer would allow, I may just not do so because of my "what they would think".
I am not so free as I would like to be!
