There have been times I thought about changing it but I have been Kristen as long as I've been chatting with people and all know me by that name.

Personally I didn't choose my name so much as it chose me. Of course I see being a tg on a more spiritual level rather than a physical level. It was something that happened before I told my wife about me and she has never said anything about it other than to ask where the name came from or how I chose it. And as far as changing it goes I would never even consider the idea because of the way that I see my whole experience of being a tg. I personally feel that choosing a name for the fem side of a tg is something that is rather personal and should be done by the tg with on outside influence from an so or anyone else for that matter simply becasue the name comes from how we see ourselves and the person that we want to be.
Of course I also know a very prominant ts who was given her fem name by her parents just before she went into the o.r. for srs. Which is in a way a very spiritual thing as well becasue of the fact that the parents were showing their support for their child in a way that only a parent could.

Many years ago, I had a host of names I used, Including Helen Susan, and Carol which I tended to use most. however after a while I changed it to Tracy Victoria, and it kind of stuck and has been the name I've tended to use for the majority of the past years.
Several weeks ago, I found out from my mum, that if I had been born a girl, I would have been called sharon, I was tempted to change it yet again, however I have been Tracy now for so long, it seems a little daft to do so, ie it has no legal binding in my life it just a fem name I tend to use, and people who know about me, know me as Tracy. so Tracy it is.
Sasha Anne Meadows

I looked in the mirror one evening in full dress and makeup and I said my gawd that girl's name is Sasha. I later added Anne to make my name more femmie 'cause Sasha is also a boy name. Meadows is the English translation of my sir name. I love my name and feel that am really this person: Sasha Anne Meadows. Hugs.

Hi
my Mum gave me my name when I was born...it's the only name anyone ever calls me and it's masculine. Sweet Jane, now that's just a log on. I suppose if I went further with crossdressing then who knows...probably Jane...plain Jane????

I don't have an SO, but i used to go by Amy here. It didn't really fit so i changed it to what my mother was going to call me had i been born in a female body.

My SO was trying to help me with a name and she chose one for me that after a while was clear that was not fitting. Rita came along because I always liked that name.

My wife gave me my name. She claims it is because I'm sassy, French, and a tart. OK, so I'm guilty at times.

My name is a modification of my middle name and my mother's middle name: Gwen Marie.
My name is a pet name I had for my wife....She doesn't know that I am a member here, although I believe that she suspects it. Anyway, no she doesn't know my name....I may yet change it...:D

Mine is short for the name that I would have had, if I had been born a female.

My femme name is close to my birth name. I took a female version of my birth name, because I like my (male) name, and I wanted to remain close to my true self.
Cheryl is more than a name. She is a friend of mine. She is a kind and decent person, and a friend to all mankind. She is gentle and caring, and respectful of other people's dignity and worth. I have a lot to learn from Cheryl, I wish that I could be more like her in my male life.
I am going to get ID cards, credit cards, and other identifying documents with Cheryl's name on them. I may even get military "dog tags". I am proud to know Cheryl.

I was kind of inspired by the roll Susann Summers played on the show, "Three"s Company". Also I just like the name and think its really fem sounding. Maybe I"ll change it to Susann in the future!!!! Crissy

It's just something I made up to log in here. I don't use a name since I only dress for myself, I know who I am already.
Kristen Marie
01-03-2007, 04:16 PM
I have had Kristen for over 15 years. May not be the best reason but it was the name of one of my daughter's teammates who was an incredible soccer player and still very feminine. Plus brown hair, brown eyes made it a perfect fit.
Roberta Lynn
01-03-2007, 04:38 PM
I never had a feminine name until I needed a name to sign on here. I just feminized my male name, although my mother teasingly called be Roberta once and a while.

I kept my same initials so there wouldn't be a problem with any thing I did enfemm:o My wife really likes the name, says it fits:heehee:

I chose my name. My SO doesn't know I crossdress, but if she did, I don't think that she would want me to change my name.

01-03-2007, 05:06 PM
Like many of the others, my name was dreamt up by my wife. I have to admit I'm not actually particularly fond of it - but it would have been churlish and perhaps ungrateful not to use it!
I saw it as a mark of acceptance and it meant a lot to have a name bestowed upon me, kind of like a birth, rather than just continue with my previous femme name. Come to think of it, my old name was perhaps a little TOO obviously girly anyway!
Perhaps Shirley is a little old fashioned (I'm not!), apologies to the other Shirley's here :hugs: but it's not contrived.

My name is similar to my given name. Joann just seems to fit me perfectly. Also my wife knows me as Joann.

My first name couldnt be feminized, so I chose my middle name instead, but it feminized into "Martha"----Yuck! So I needed another "Mar" name---I couldnt use "Mary", thats my sister's name ===Yuck again! The Television was on, and I saw that "Troi" on Star Treck's first name was "Marina" (Marina Sirtis)---That was cool, and besides, my coloring (hair, eyes) is similar to hers, and we have similar "roman noses" (not to mention she's pretty "hot") So I chose MARINA as a first fem name.

I used the name of the first girl I had a crush on in grade school. (Plus I love the name "Susan" any way.) Add that I have always been attracted to Cheerleaders, so I put the two together. "Susan Cheerleader"

The stories you are about to hear are true, but the names have been changed to protect the innocent.
I was Clarissa for a short while. Then went to melissa to catch an initial that matches my given name. melissa is waay too common so I tacked on a K. (Check how many melissa's are on this site alone).
I was responsible for my own name selection at all times.

I had my name before I met my SO. We are now debating when we get married later on this year. If I'll take her maiden name as my last name or if she will take mine. Jocelyn
Holly

I so shallow! It was the first time I called to make an appointment for a makeover at Glamour Boutique in Las Vegas. The girl at the other end asked for my femme name... I'd never had one before. The first name that popped into my head was Holly. She was a contestant on Big Brother in the USA that year. That's the name I gave for my appointment. It turns out that if suits me to a tee. It turns out that Holly was "born" so to speak at that makeover. Even though I had dressed for years before I had never seen the girl inside until that day. When Amy turned me around in that chair and I saw myself in the mirror for the first time, my heart leaped for joy. My wife was waiting out in the lounge. When I walked in, I think it is safe to say she was stunned as well. We both shed a few tears (of joy). Holly was finally home, and home to stay.

I asked my mother what she would have named me if I would have been a girl. Mom said she would have named me Juanita. I like the name. I would have used Juanita here but it was allready being used, so i chose rosemarie, that was my mothers first and middle name:happy:

When I was a young lad and slid on the first girlie item I ever wore I just knew if I was a girl my name was Tina, my last name is the one I was born with before I was adapted by grandparents before my name change.

I had chosen my name and told my wife about it afterwards. I did ask my wife what she would call me, but she couldn't think of anything. I have considered changing it and am even toying with another name, but right now Paula is staying.

My name?......here's the long (boring?) story of how it came to be:
I met my wife Marla GG online when she used a IM screen name of "Marla Darling". She used to call me her Angel and so my screen name became Angel Darling so that we were "virtually married" so to speak. :D
Then we got married in real life and all my femme self started to develop both online and in real life. I kept the online persona of Angel Darling because at the time I was uncomfortable with having a real girl's name because I didn't go out and didn't want a third person coming into our marriage (so to speak). However, nowadays my feminine self is so public that when we started going out to Tri-Ess socials my wife thought I should have a proper name and so in real life situations, with people I meet in person, I introduce myself as Rachel as this in the feminine version of my boy name. Rachel was suggested by my wife and funnily enough when she suggested it, it was what I was thinking of too.

I think it was my wife and me that came up with my first fem name of Anastasia, I liked it for awhile but it just never seemed to work for me.
Cynthia the name I later picked was from the name of a local Lingerie shop here in the town I live. I really liked the name and it stuck And I have used it for about the last 6 or 7 years.

I thought about it, I choose it, and decided to use my real name but the fem version of it. I feel it fits me like a pair a pantyhose, or long black silky gloves. I have always loved the name Michelle, have met many wonderful GG's with the name and just feel very comfortable using it. And if something would ever come up with both names in error someplace in time, oops, "someone must have made a spelling error."

Ok..for the third time. (two other post have existed on this topic before that I know of)
"I've answered this before in another thread too, but my mother gave me my fem name. She once told me if I had been born a girl... my name would of been "Francine". When I started crossdressing, I remembered what she had said, and have refered to my fem name as Francine, since."

For a long time I used the name Jennifer. I love that name. As a practical matter though, there were and are alot of Jennifers and so it was always a point of confusion in the chat rooms. When I married my second wife, I discovered very quickly that there was a Jennifer in her family, so when I told her about my CD, I cleverly did not tell her that I was Jennifer. Later, we had a discussion in which I mentioned that I needed a name for my female self. She said, "Geez Louise". That was it.

When I wanted to join this forum I needed an email address. So the first thing they ask is a name ID.....? I didn't have any ideas. I wanted a name that sounded like a real person so I just made one up on the spot. And now I think I'd feel upset if someone wanted to change it because I'm quite attached to it.

My first wife wouldn't name me and I didn't think of one then. I got my second wife to come up with one, but she didn't want me to have one it was Jolene. I went to a CD meeting when I was with her and used a different name as I figured she would be mad if I used the name she gave me, so I came up with Amy. I have stuck with Amy, she hated that name.
