Okay Ladies,

A question before I go to bed tonight... What's your favorite girl magazine and why? I've been reading Cosmo but it's mostly too young for me. Was looking for make-up and hairstyling tips. Not really for my age group (be nice!).

Holly,

I agree. I get Cosmo too but it is really too young for me anymore...even the make-up tips and such. Any of you other ladies out there have any suggestions for the best women's magazines for the mature woman? We sooooo need to know here!:)

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, but what's with this "Senior" member garbage under my name? ;) ;)

Since you're still up...have another chablis sweetie!:)

Im young (18) so ive found ellegirl to be a good one. havent read cosmo  but would like too. Ellegirl always has cool photography, good makeup tips, attractive models and outfits. but it is deffinitley for younger girls. :)

I used to write romantic stories for teen magazines. That was a head trip. (done from fem point of view). Sold a few too! Now I have no idea even what the names are.

They're all rubbish!! I only even look at them while waiting in the dentist. Full of skinny, airbrushed models, NO ONE can look like even them. Advertisments promise impossible things... Save your money for shoes!

As far as neat magazines, I read REdbook and Woman's Day... Not too much makeup but neat...

Allie-thanks for the input. However i'm looking for something geared to the more "experienced" lady. Youth, why is it wasted on the young?

Georgette- You crack me up!

Julie- Any chance of you ever sharing any of these works with us?

Celeste- Not trying to copy anyone or live up to urealistic goals. Just a little guidance. Good advice about the shose, though.

Steffie- ON SALE NOW AT NEWSSTANDS EVERYWHERE!

Megan- The voice of reason. Great suggestions. Thanks!

Elle and Vanity Fair are good. I also enjoy Real Simple and decorating magazines.

I can see that I'm going to be a busy girl, with all this reading to do. I'll let my wife have the TV Weekly.
