View Full Version : my trip to the salon
hi girls
how many of yo have gone to the salon to get your nails done, and have you had your eyebrows wax ?
well on talking with a friend here about nails, i had to go and get my nails fixed i broke one see picture  . so while there i got all my nails done with a gel. it makes them vary hard and since she was fixing the one i broke why not after after the UV light had hardened them she sanded them down and applied my favorite nail polish and a mega shine top coat, and it was time to get my eyebrows done so what the hell , this chick deserves it and it's only once a month .. the best $45.00 dollars i get to spend on myself. buy the way did i fail to mention i was in drab i just went from work ..
and no one said anything to me !!!. and yes that is me with no makeup or my wig ewww , sorry i hope you weren't eating lol
so i hope you get the courage to go and get your nails done be it in drab or en-femme
hugs Marissa

:OMG: Marissa!
As you know, the last time I went into a nail salon I was fully en femme and I completely bottled it! (chickened out) I turned around and left immediately because I thought everyone was looking at me with a "knowing stare" :o
To go in boy mode seems very emancipated to me! I wish I was as brave as you. I don't know what it is with me and nail salons, but they seem to be THE MOST feminine environment to my mind. Just being in there makes me feel feminized. One day I will get there, my wife is gently pushing me to go and have an "American" in boy mode, to wear all the time, even at work. If it happens I'll let you know.
Btw...it was very brave of you to post boy pics here...and in the public forum too! You're totally "shot away" you know that don't you? :D

You are far braver than me. Good for you girl! Your nails look great. I didn't know they could fix them like that. Can they do that sort of fix and still have them look natural? I keep mine long but without polish....until the weekends that i have the house to myself.

I went to have a pedicure on Wednesday. I was the only person there. The nail tech asked me if I wanted clear or color. I told her that I liked color but was afraid that someone might come in and see me. She said that she did not think anyone would come in. I told to go ahead and paint my nails. She said that most ladies pick either red or a brown tone due to the season. I told her that I would like a light pink. She proceeded to paint my nails pink. While I sat waiting for my nails to dry. She took out some acrylic nails in pink and told that they matched my nail color. She showed me how they were attached. I told her that I could not get them. She said maybe someday when you get braver. It was fun and interesting day at the nail salon.

MJ....that is awesome!! I had a pedicure done while I was in drab in early December and had to walk out to my car in flip flops with bright red nail polish and wads of tissue between my toes. It was sooo exciting and embarassing at the same time. The nails on you look super....and makes me want to go back again....you go girl....

Did you have a traffic incident? I just happen to notice that that particular finger is indispensible for driving.

Your nails look wonderful, and you went in drab, good for you.
I'm going to get my nails done this morning (Saturday) and my nail tech "loves" me, giggle. When I go to have my nails done, I have to walk past all the ladies getting their hair done, as the nail area is in a room in the back of the salon. I never know how I'll be dressed, one time "full-fem" another time "semi-drab" and sometimes "full-drab". My nail tech says, that every time I leave, the place is abuzz with talk about me. She says that the ladies want to know if I'm a man or a woman, but she won't tell them, giggle.

Your nails look lovely dear! I'm planning on mine done very soon , like when I get my femmy makeover. Being a girl is so much better than being a drab guy.
Take care sweetie.

One day after having thought about a trip to a salon to get my nails done I did it. I just dropped in dressed in womens jeans, blouse not too frilly and asked if I could get my nails and hair done. I first they hesitated then a girl said she would be happy to do me. Sitting in the chair we started chatting about hair styles and she suggested highlights and put my hair up in curls. I told her go ahead do what ever she wanted to. The stylist highlighted my hair them set then in different size rollers. Then led me over to a table to get my nails done all the while we chatted like school girls about being a crossdresser. She did a complete maicure and topped it off with 2 coats of nail polish and a coat of clear. Then took me back to the chair and combed out my hair. Which was now a head full of curls. We had a great time talking and I gave her a big tip. Her final words as I was levaing was go out a have fun that night.
It was a great time and wil be doing again.

It is fun. I've had my eyebrows waxed a few times. It's the best way to get the shape right. I like the acrylics instead of the gels. Gels are great, but impossible to remove. That would not go over well at home.
Best regards,

MJ,
That was inspiring for me. I have never had my nails done, but my wife has been trying to get me to go with her and have them done. They did an excellent job on your nails and I couldn't help but notice how feminine your eyes look!:hugs:

While at SCC in Atlanta I got my fingers and toes done and again when I went back to Atlanta in December. There is something - (being in Atlanta - dressed or the nails????) that makes me feel girly and I leave my guy self behind. That makes the experience a REAL VACATION. Dressing alone without the nails is not the vacation so it MUST be the nails!

I have been going for years now for fill in & waxing of my brows. Finally, it is time again next week. I had a beautiful "french" manicure done for our Christmas party. I had it for a week but it was a little too noticeable. I usually have the "american" which is more natural. I had the french buffed off & for a month I have jst had the gel overlay with no polish. I always go in drab since I go on my way home from work. This year, one of my goals is to go enfemme for my nails. Probably will not get brows done enfemme as not to have to reapply eye makeup.

Hi MJ,
could you please reply to Helen H. Heels again. I believe I wiped out your e-mail before I had a chance to read or respond.
Thank you,

MJ,
Very impressive. I've been to the nail salon on many occasions with my wife. We don't get to spend a lot of time together, so we make it happen when we can. This is one way. I tend to go with a metrosexual attitude and get a pedicure. Sometimes I'll let them talk me into a manicure. have you noticed that both words end in "cure"? It seems to make me feel pretty again!
Nice pictures Marissa!

I'm a salon aholic! Last trip to atlanta it took four visits to the salon before I was happy with my nails. First too long then I broke one then I messed up the polish but the fourth time was a charm and got to do it in femme while my beautiful wife got a pedicure. A full set is absolutely wonderful. I only get to wear mine for two, three days at the most but it does so much for putting me over the top, at least in my own mind.
If you run hot tap water over the bottle of acetone it will cut your removal time almost in half. Last ime it only took 45 minutes and they were completely dissolved

Last Saturday, not long after reading your posting, I DID go to the Salon.
Manicure, Pedicure, Waxed Eyebrows.
The results were wonderful.
Had to wipe off the polish and put clear stuff on last night though (Sunday).
Now I still have the Red Toenail Polish, and Clear Polished Fingernail Extensions.
The way I type is changed a bit, and I am enjoying "la difference".
 Roberta
