Being daring I went to the office in a bra all day yesterday, as leaving I flashed my shirt revealing the pink lacy cups up to the security camera as it was dark, a few seconds later the horrible realisation descended that the camera has an infra red mode and the red light was on.
Not good girls, not good.

Oh dear.... tell me something, do you have a partner? if yes... just say this at work... My partner dared me to wear one of her bras' for work and flash it at the camera on the way out.... if not.... just say one of your mates dared you to do it :)

I agree with Tamara, that's a great excuse! Or that one of your friends dared you to do it.

Well the wife put the bra on the bed for me in the morning if that helps.
Did not dare me to flash it though.

Well it's going to take some clever explaining. If you can't come right out and tell them I'd say I did it on a bet/dare. However if they do not ask don't offer any information. This has worked for me before, no one said a word. Good luck to you. Hope it things work out.
*hugs*

I agree with Tristen. Don't offer anything unless confronted. The chances of someone confronting you are probably not that great. Just continue your routine as if nothing happened and if confronted, just chuckle and say that you lost a bet or did it on a dare or whatever. Play it down.

1. I did it for a bet.
2. Well I need to do something for fun to get me through the day at this mundane job.
3. I was being sponsored for Breast Awareness Week
4. I'd just emerged from the cleaning cupboard after a brief liason with my secretary and it was dark in there.
5. Are you telling me you don't wear a bra?
Other than that Julie I would say don't mention it unless you're confronted. Are the security staff the type who'd report this? They'll probably just laugh and see it as high spirits.

Julie
Were they able to tell it was pink? Or did the infrared camera obscure that?
I would be interested if they even noticed.

If you work for the CIA/NSA/FBI, it's probably already in your poly/sci files...
If you work for a redneck group, you had too much beer and someone dared you.
If you work for a conservative white collar Dilbert world, "Women love it. Means I'm a sensitive guy."
If you work anywhere else, you're in deep hair-doo...

The one thing all CDs have in common...
We can look another person straight in the eye, with a poker face, in total sincerity... and lie through our teeth!!! :D We've become professional liers and can BS our way out of any situation!
I'm so proud of all of you!!!

I would not worry about it, the chances that that monitor was being watched at the second you flashed are close to zero. I have been inside many security rooms and I can tell you guards do not watch the screens, they are too busy sleeping. ;)
Almost certainly the screen was simply being videotaped and assuming there was no incidents that night, the tape will be erased within the next two weeks without ever being watched.

Now you are a "Red Light Girl"(LOL). Wow, to me that would be a biggie. As shy as I am, I probably would not go back to work. Don't follow my example, I don't want anyone to be out of a job. I'm sure there will be a day when you think back and laugh at this incedent.
Love,

I agree with Helana that the chances anyone ever even saw it are prolly 1,000,000 to 1. I work in a very secure "A" title post production studio where the MPAA and Sony Pictures has a video feed from our securety cameras to thier monitoring station and when we had a major theft niether facility had seen it because they only look at the footage when something happens. Even then depending on how far back they need to look the could have already recorded over the tapes or the footage could have already been replaced on the hardrive or whatever storage device is used. I think you are in the clear for sure.
Kisses, Marissa.

hey.. most likely you made a very bored and tired security person perk up with a renewed interest in watching an otherwise dull and mononotous TV monitor...
:) I think your flash was a beautiful moment of personal power and acceptance..... A story you can tell your grand children..... !!! NO serious.. just think how awesome that would be if YOUR grandfather had told you that story....
kisses for courage,
kate.

I have to agree that chances are no one saw the feed in the first place. Have you ever tried to watch infra-red TV for any length of time. Totally annoying. The most likely reason for the camera being there in the first place is so that if anything does happen there is a record of it and if nothing happens then they tape over it within a few days to a week. I use to work at a restarunt that videotaped the building inside and out and I can tell you for sure that the only time the tape was ever seen was when something happened. We taped over the feed once a week. If it was thursday we put in the thursday tape and so on. It was all just a precaution for our safety.

The other girls have summed it up. You are very likely the only person,(aside from us) who cares. It is unlikely that anyone noticed your show, and even if they did, it would be unlikely that they would pursue it beyond the obsevation of the activity. go to bed, get some sleep. wenda.
