Has anyone ever gone to the doctor's dressed as a male EXCEPT underclothes (bras and panties)? What was the doctor's (nurse's) expression?

It happened to me once. I had no idea he would want me to strip as I've done the same procedure with two other doctors in the past. There I stood, in all my glory, wearing thong, bra and nice pink toenails. He never batted an eye or said a word. Surprised me that he didn't say something. Oh yes, I also keep my body completely shaved. And I mean everything.

I have been to the Dr. many times for annual physicals and the such. I only wear panties don't own men's undies. In the last few years I started wearing a bra as well, (I have near B cup breasts) and have never had any problem. Medical people have probably seen it all.

I wouldn't go over the top .but if you wear these items most of the time then just do it and don't worry about it.

I have a physical coming up in a week or so. Think I'll wear my drab underwear this time.

Wouldn't really matter what I wore as I have bikini tanlines.

there are plenty of threads in the back history on this topic the basic take on them is that doctors and nurses don't care, they have seen worse

Agreed. I wear nothing but panties and tights in the winter. The doctor has never said anything. The lab tech found it a bit funny when she went to hook up a probe for my cardiogram and couldn't find the top of my socks! Her comment was that lots of ladies wear tights in the winter, so no problem.

All the time now that I am somewhat out and also having to visit the doctor a lot recently. Just last week, I went to a new primary care physician and at check-in, the nurse wanted to measure my height and weight without my shoes on. So I unzipped and took off my 2 inch heeled boots and stood on the weight stand in my black thigh highs with painted toenails. The male x-ray technician seems to have a little trouble with my pantyhose and panties when I go in to the urologist and need x-rays taken.

Yes, I went to the Dr once for a shoulder pain,. He decided to check total body alinement so he told me to strip down to my underware. Well, gold colored. lace trimerd panties, too late to back out. He didn't bat an eye, just conducted the exam then I got dressed. :o

To me this sounds like fun. I've considered it many times. I figured that doctors and nurses are professional and have seen it all. One of these days I'll find the courage.

Your physican is more concerned about your blood pressure than about your panties, come to think about it, you should be too.

Not to mention that if your doctor makes you feel uncomfortable then you may not go to see him again.
I'm sure he's not willing to lose patients over silly clothing.

Don't worry just remember what Mom said and make sure they are clean.

had to have an ecg last year & didn't realise it involved contacts on legs, was wearing white stay up stockings(thankfully no suspenders) made excuse about keeping knees warm while riding motorcycle, same nurse later on during operation prep took great delight in fitting anti thrombosis stockings

Most health professionals wouldn't say anything. Not only is it unprofessional, it is of no consequence what you are wearing for healthcare visits, unless of course you are seeing your therapist before transition.

Yes...I always have a bra and panties on under my male clothes. My doctor and the office staff do know that I am transgendered however so it is no big deal to them.

I only wear a bra and breast forms at home, not when outdoors. I do however wear panties 24/7 as I have done since my teens and I haven't even owned any male underpants for decades now. When I go to the Doctor or for any medical examination I wear plainer panties, such as pale blue Sloggi Maxi Briefs or navy blue schoolgirl knickers, (full briefs). No comment has ever been made by the Doctors or the Nurses etc.

Just an aside; I've seen this sort of topic before, and some related ones. I'm aware that some crossdressers use such opportunities to get a thrill from being seen as a crossdresser, even if in limited form. For example, dressing en femme and then ordering a pizza for delivery, just to be seen en femme.

My response in general to this sort of thing is; wear what you would normally wear to any other odds and ends errand. Don't go out of your way to dress in a specific manner for the doctor. It's not fair to the medical staff or to you to do otherwise.

I went to a specialist once with a circulation problem. He had to ask me why I did not have hair on my legs cause that is related to ciruclaltion problems. I told him that wasn't it for me. He was a little embarassed but said I had to ask (for medical reasons).

I have gone to my pdoc partially enfemme and no comment was made.

As to going to my GP, always in drab and maybe with lingerie but for a physical, only drab because I wouldnt want to embarass her or make her feel uncomfortable in any way.

:hugs:
