Hi, one of the easiest ways someone can tell that you're a guy is by the protrusion of your adam's apple. Do you know of any ways to hide it? I know you can wear a turtle neck or a scarf, but what if you're on the beach? lol I know there's a surgical procedure that you can do, but I don't want to do that...

Hopefully, I'll one day be able to afford a tracheal reduction. But there really isn't any other way I know of hiding it. If you must hide it quickly, I find you can swallow and hold your breath which will make it pretty much disappear. Otherwise, it looks like you'll be wearing a scarf to the beach.

Why bother? As soon as most of us start talking the games up anyway. Unless you're unlucky enough to look like you've swallowed a melon whole with a bulge visible from space there seems little point.

Ya they call it shaving the adams Apple. Dosen't sound like much fun to me either. Mine does not show that much. I don't think people really look that close. I have seen natural Females with them before too.

Nyuk-nyuk. Maybe guys have the apple, to remind us, that Eve handed the apple, to Adam, and we have been suckered ever since!

I'm lucky girl, my adam's apple doesnt' show. My problem is my 5 o'clock shadow- my beard grows so fast, like a I like be the bearded lady in the cirrus sideshow.

As soon as you start trying to hide it, with a choker necklace for instance, it just draws more attention to it. It is like saying - look, there is something here I don't want you to see. Just forget it is there.

I am with most of the respondents and lucky enough not to have a prominent adams apple. I wonder if most CD's don't have prominent ones?

I saw on "Primetime" or some show like that that women also have Adam's apples-- they're just usually smaller. It's one of those myths, I guess. So I don't worry too much about it. A bigger give-away is that I'm like a juniors size 9 for a skirt but a juniors size 13 for the jacket-- meaning my torso has more masculine proportions with my lower body and I look top-heavy.

I think people tend to see what they are presented with, ie if you are very smartly dressed, good makeover and wig, then the last thing they will be looking for is a adams apple to see if your a guy!
however if your wig looks like you just killed the cat and plonked it on your head, you have coco the clown makeup on, your adams Apple is going to only add to there general overal concept of who is standing in front of them!

Unless your is large do not worry about it. I have seen women with larger ones then me.
But if it is then you need to wear tops that have high necks. Also make up can "hide" it by darkening it to set it back.

Unfortunately I carry enough weight it seems to hide mine. WHEN not if I loose some poundage, I will have to start wearing a turtleneck to the beach.

I have been shading mine for a couple of years, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but then again i am my biggest critic...Being tall I can also have a slight downward tilt of my head to partially hide it too...
Works for me...:2c:
