Interesting twins (Androgynous content !)

Right now there is a mega hype about a "teeny" rock band here.
Music, well; debatable.
Interesting is the frontman (http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/855/65044iv.jpg)(center right, his twin brother center left).
His style is not only a marketing gag. He started with a more girly appearence at about 12. One year later he's been to a casting show: Cute girl (http://www.tokio-hotel.cz/foto/201-300/213.jpg) I'd say. Girls alredy liked him those days (http://img439.imageshack.us/img439/1503/bill102zk.jpg). Today they freak out when they see him like this (http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5231/4440183a9d55666087895711jt.jpg), this (http://tokiohotelnederland.web-log.nl/photos/uncategorized/2578225_1.jpg) or this (http://www.meinberlin.de/sixcms/media.php/85/070122_bill2_ddp.jpg). (Those that don't go for his more boyish twin brother (http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/6431/13oh7.jpg)).
Interstingly his style is copied by the girls not the boys.
I wished I'd had have the guts that age: Would have saved me a lot of struggle, I think (ok I am not a musician, but nevertheless).
In any case, I think he's a good door opener for some younger CDs here in Germany.

If I had a twin brother who looks like that I would hope it rubbed off on me. I wish I could have looked half that good when I was younger:thumbsup:

First off, the header contains the word androgynous with an ! for good reasons. The reason is that I am well aware that it is not the "real thing" for a lot.

But probably I miss something here. Is the label CD a medal for special qualifications that qualifys someone to something, and which is a must have ?
If so, I don't wanna play that game anyway.

Though this guy is a public person and hence has some special conditions, he is kind of free to express feminity, has sucess with it, is admired for it.
Some aspects of life that some might find interesting I thought.
And yes, I somehow think this guy might have become a closeted crossdresser, not getting or taking the freedom to express his feminity right ahead.
If so I am happy for him.
And yes I find it interesting that one of the twins seems to need to express feminity while the other doesn't (same genes, same womb, same sozialisation).
And yes I see this guy and his popularity as a little hope for some of the present adolescent not to get trapped in shame, guilt, closet, fear, embarrassment, lonelyness, feeling as outsider.

I admit I became a little angry. (Glass house, you decide)

The band just makes music , rock with german lyrics (Youtube: Tokio Hotel). Hence it's unlikely that they will make it to the US or UK anyway. But that's not the point. The fact that they make music only helps insofar that one is able to follow the developement a bit and get some pics without the need of theoretical case studies of some psychologists. Fact is that he started to grow girly hair, used makeup, wore skirts with the age of about 12 (years before he became famous and under the influence of managers), before he looked like every boy.
That is about the same age a lot of us entered the closet (coincidence ?).
Ok he might not be a CD, maybe he doesn't sees himself as a CD, he doesn't have to.
For me this rises the interesting question, what would have happend to us (me) if we wouldn't have needed to enter the closet (would we be CDs ?), or if he would have entered the closet (would he become a CD).

Anyway
If he as a model is able to prevent one boy from going into the closet, he's a hero for me. And I think he has a better potential to do so than "leggings for men".
