For about the last year or so I have been diligently trying to improve on my cosmetic application skills....(or lackthereof lol). And After all this time and after all the hours of taking my head shot and photoshop~chopping it a billion times w different shades and colors (I'm a graphic artist and a virtual rendition of what i look like and hope to look like is/was so much easier and less costly doing it in photoshop and then finally applying what I did there to my face in real life ....than purchasing and CLEANING off all the trials and errors ....it (photoshop) was a godsend.........

But I digress.....LET ME TELL YOU........my skills are 100% better than a year ago and i know im no "stunner"...but the respect and understanding I now have for all my ex gf's and buddies wives whom are always (or seem to be) primping til the last minute on a night we all have out on the town!!!! OMG...I WILL NEVER
rush another female to finish putting her face on (and for me too....) god guys can be so hindered by testosterone and blinder vision.......I have truely walked in their shoes (literally 4 inch pumps lol) done the acrylic nails...painted em ...wig....teased and sprayed and then teased some more and sprayed some more....makeup makeup makeup ...only to immediately forget i have it on and smear it or wipe my brow or rub my eyes and voila INSTANT RACOON and back to ye old makeup table......god I seriously do not know how prof (check that all women ) do it whether on a daily basis or weekends only ....OMG.......what a double edged sword.......and dont even get me going on maintenece 5-8-10 hours later.....especially for those of us w oily skin OMG....as I said TOTAL NEW RESPECT....they can take all the time they need ....we'll be late .so what .......she/us/they are worth it !

She slowly steps off her pink soapbox and mingles into the crowd....

You are right Alexis , even when you know what your doing it is very time consuming, Last week i spent some time with my sister and law, and she took me from goa to whoa step by step and we did one eye each etc. I learned so much , even though i'd been doing my make up for years.

Make up wise my suggestion to you would be use blush (or more blush). Darker lid shadow and less gloss on the outers of your lips.

You have a very dramatic look going there , i like it , i personally do mine very similar when taking photos under alot of light.

One thing I learned is that because of the larger lips we have, don't color them completely out to the corners of your mouth. I wish I had a picture to show you but it makes your mouth look smaller. And do take longer shots of your face. No body looks good in a close up.
