View Full Version : Asking the wife

I am going to ask my wife to paint my toe nails tonight. :D The worst that can happen is she will say no, I think. I of course will offer to do hers to. She is going out of town for 5 days this week and I would like to have my toes painted for that time and she can do a better job than I can, that for sure. This will be the first time I have asked her to do anything related to my crossdressing, and even though it is a small thing, I am nervious.

Hi Jenney,
I am assuming your wife knows of your CDing, but isn't too happy about it.
What I would do in your place, the nervous coward that I am  .
Is to sit and stare at my naked feet, and without looking up, blurt it out.
If my wife said no, I'd just laugh and say "oh well, just a thought"
Granted it is a crazy idea, but then I'm full of 'em.

She knows and is dealing with it, but other than my shaved legs has not seen any of it. She gave me permission a week ago to dress and clean the bathroom (I never knew I enjoyed cleaning) well she was at work. She is not sure that she wants to see me dressed, but I can tell that she does have the slightest curiousity about it. She has offered to paint my toenails in the past, before she knew that I was a CD, I of course took the macho aprouch and refused (foolish me).

Jenney, having seen your original post I'm sure you feel inside what you're going to ask is a possibility. Good luck.

Wife gone for five days? Perfect opportunity to go and get a real salon pedicure! You will love it..... do you want me to help "walk" you through it? I would want you to get off on the right "foot" you know. And then, afterwards - you will know you "nailed" it! :D

I will not be going out of the house, maybe someday for Holloween. Way to conservative around this town to be doing that, not even considering I would not pass.

Go in male mode - that is what I do. Go to the next city, call around, trust me, they do not care in a salon, as long as you have money.
All there is to do is to do it....

Peer pressure!
Drive 100 miles to an even smaller town for a pedicure.
I think I will try my wife first.

I usually do her nails first, then ask if she'll do mine... Now, if we're just sitting around we'l do each other's nails...

Hi Jenny,
It'll be alright. Actually, I think Megan-Renee may be onto something there. Wouldn't hurt to give it a try!

Jenny,
So what color are you thinking about??? You mentioned that your wife knows, and that she has offered before. Great. Obviously you are concerned about how your wife will react and your color choice might have a play. Selecting a bright red might be too much, whereas a light pearl won't be as noticeble.
My toes are painted for the first time (by my daughter)! And they are a light pink, yet somehow they seem to glow at night :). I'm in the same ballpark, in that my wife knows to an extent, but doesn't want to see me dressed. Anyway, she has commented that my color on my nails don't chip as much as her do! My point is that because the color is 'under the radar', she might be accepting of it - they've been painted since Christmas.
Good luck Jenny and let us know how it comes out!

Jenney - seriously, just go get a male pedicure. Lots and lots of guys do this. If you have 5 days to yourself, what is wrong with driving a ways to fulfill a fantasy? If you do not want to do your own toes, then really think about getting that pedicure!
I have gotten lots of male pedicures before, many times they do them in a private room. I have seen other guys getting them too. All you have to do is call and set up an appointment. I understand the fear and apprehension. but trust me - time passes fast and you don't get any younger. I wish I had acted sooner, but finally I just HAD to do it.
If you wish, I would be happy to help you, if you wish PM me and I can give you some tips. There is nothing like that first time :)

DanaJJenney, trust me on this one and take it from our resident Nail Guru-ess...Dana knows what she is talking about. Pedicures are the best! Get a paraffin wax treatment to go along with it...your feet will feel soft and smooth like velvet. The salons aren't just for the GG's anymore...(sorry ladies, but we are invading YOUR "treehouse" now!:p ) I go to the salon every so often (in drab mind you!) and get manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, etc. It's a great way to relieve stress and just luxuriate and totally pamper your femme self!
You got 5 days of "Jenney time" comin' to ya girl...take advanatge of it while you can!;)

Christine

dana i like your idea of going to the salon for a pedi. i have never thought of that in a realistic sense but it now sounds so appealing. let us know how you go about such occasions. give us some tips. i have always enjoyed painting my toes and they are usually red or pink but i would feel weird going to have someone else do them. how many guys actually get them painted and not just buffed or polished.

Got some color put on at the same time I was chattin' up a GG in the seat next to me! Of course I'm kinda "out there" when in my element! But don't worry...they will do it in private for you if you ask in advance when you schedule an appointment. You got the money...they will accomodate you. That's their business after all. Go for it nikky...life's too short as it is hon!;)

Here is how it works. Another DanaJ step-by-step :)
1) Look in phone book (or internet Yellow Pages) for Nail salons
2) Pick out a couple, then go drive by and check out their location
3) Decide which ones look best, make you feel most comfortable
4) Call them.... say "Hi, my name is xxxx, I would like an appt for a pedicure."
5) They ask you what day and what time you want to come in.
6) When you go, they will welcome you, show you to where you sit down, and start the pedicure
7) You will probably hear "Wow, it is nice you came in, it would be nice if more men would do this" and "Isn't it nice to pamper yourself? Men don't know what they are missing!"
8) You will have between 30 and 60 minutes of bliss.
9) You get finished, tip and pay, and leave. Perhaps make another appt for 2 weeks later.
There - simple. While you are gettin the pedicure, you can sort of feel them out about getting color. Maybe tell the girl "My wife would love it if I got color and surprised her"... trust me, they will love to do that for you!
OK, you can dream it or do it.....

You missed the point of having my wife paint my toe nails. It's not so much about the nails, is it is about getting my wife to learn to fully accept that I am a CD. Spending money to get pedicure, possibly in another town is not going to endure my CD'ing to my wife.

I agree with you Jenny. The whole point of doing it this way will be fullfilled. If she accepts, you're gaining ground. Good luck.

My nails are a bright red, thanks to my wife!
The night I was going to ask, I did'nt, the stars just where not in line. To start with when she got home from work she said she was very tired and her elbow hurt, she just wanted to rest on the sofa after supper and go to bed early. Well sitting on the sofa I slipped my house slippers off and was going to ask her to paint them, when she turned to me and said. "your feet stink" lets just say that killed me asking her to paint them.
The next night, after a shower and before I put my slippers on, I reached down and held her big toe in my hand and asked if she would like me to paint them, she said no, so I asked if she would do mine. She said, "sure, no problem". After she painted mine, I did paint hers, as she had changed her mind about her toes. After the paint was dry she told me that this would have to be a weekly thing from now on :)
She also asked if I would be doing my finger nails (she is going out of town for 5 days) I said I would be. She warned me that I should not use the red polish, as it is very hard to get off and I would have a red tint to my nails afterwards. She suggested one of the pink bottles and told me how to use here polish remover for best removal. She then rolled her eyes and sad "I can not believe I am telling you how to do this!"
My nails may not be as nice as you would get at a salon, but I do not care! The feeling I have inside of me from the fact that my wife is trying to understand, is dealing with my CD'ing, and even helping a little will always outshine the feeling I could get from a professional doing me over.
...and lets just say that we had to make the bed, before we went to bed for the night!

Even though I don't think you appreciate my posts Jenney, I am always trying to help.
With that in mind, red polish is no harder to remove than any other polish, and will not stain or tiny your nails afterwards, if you use a base coat first. You should really use a base coat anyway, it can be a dedicated base coat or any clear coat actually.
And when you remove the polish, don't flood the nail. Use the remover sparingly and the polish will come right off....
So - go for the red!

Way to go Jenney.
Things are definitely looking up for you. Oh, if you do have trouble getting the polish off around the nails you can try a nail brush using lava soap. This helps a lot.

Jenny;
Sorry Im late to this thread, I understand perfectly well why you wanted your wife to paint your nails and you, hers. Its not just about them looking nice, its about finding a bit of acceptance, understanding and someone to share it with. I am in the same boat, wife knows, is begining to understand, however has no desire to see me dressed. so little steps at a time.
She knows I wore hose the other day. Today its a dainty little bracelet.
last night I offered her to do her nails, didn't work out, she had hose on too and didn't feel like changing. Tonight, I hope.....
Sorry, I was just working some thoughts out in my head.
It really is great that you two had this little moment and the love that followed not an arguement. good stuff and little steps. all I can say is
YOU ARE ONE LUCKY GIRL!
