Silly me I forgot the silly plastic holder thingie for my SatNav so it was just sat on my dashboard, that enough to get pulled over by the cops

Unfortunately I was in a rather short tartan miniskirt at the time, and with no wig on rather obviously a bloke in a skirt

I got told off, got asked if I was drinking, where I'd been (I said a pub doh stupid me) where I was going etc etc but they didn't ask why I was dressed like that and thank goodness they didn't make me get out the car, I think I would have got told off for driving in heels....

I'm sure they had a good laugh about me afterwards, but I so relieved not to get any real hassle.

Well that was the first time to be pulled over dressed up and I it wasn't as bad as I feared.

In August of 2005, on my second ever time dressed, and driving, sure enough, I got pulled over. It was not fun, but, the cop was more concerned about my driving, and where I was going, than how i was dressed. It could have been much worse for me, too, and you. I told him, I was dressed up like a woman, to try and see, and understand what women go through.

And you really shouldn't have anything to fear (above and beyond the reason for your misdemeanor). I've done a lot of diversity training for the police so I'm well used to talking to police officers en femme. Wandering round Police HQ in a skirt and heels is fun :) Of course this applies to England only.

Why ? I wouldn't count on him/her believing you.

Even in male drab my heart was racing when I was pulled over....was I speeding?, being careless?...didn't matter, I was a basket case. Seems that my license plate light had burned out and he was just making sure I knew so I could replace it......I don't want to think how I would have been in Jenni mode.

My only experience with the police has been at a drunk driving checkpoint {I was sober.} Cops are concerned about the law not what people are wearing. The only cops I fear are the Fashion Police.

I've just got back from a 2 hour bike ride. My wife and son are away for the weekend (I'm working) so I thought I'd make the most of it.

I have cycling skort, a short lycra skirt with a very short pair of cycling shorts built in. When it's dark I can get away with wearing it on rides. It's a bit cold for such attire, but you soon warm up after a few miles.
I was about 15 minutes from home riding along a fairly bumpy road when a police car with blue lights flashing pulled up along side and motioned for me to pull over.
I stopped and dismounted to talk to him.
He pulled in behind me with lights flashing.

So there I am, T-shirt, cycling jacket, and nice short skirt....
I'm totally embarrassed and have no idea why they stopped me.

He got out of his car and walked toward me. He gave a slight smile when he noticed the skirt, but didn't mention it.

Mr plod then asked me if I was aware that I had lost my rear light.
It so happens that as I hit a pot hole a mile or so earler, my rear light broke off it's bracket.
I didn't hear it fall as I had my MP3 player on.
Mr Plod saw my light fall and kindly stopped and picked it up.

Luckilly I only had about 5 miles of my ride left. This was done holding the light by hand as it's bracket had snapped.

I'm still cringeing with embarrassment now, though it was an electrifying experience.

You should never fear anyone if you are out en-femme, otherwise it would spoil the experience.

Most and I do mean most law enforcement officers have had some form of training in dealing with the "LGBT" community, that does not mean however, that their personal feelings wont show.

They will get on with their job, dealing with the reason for stopping you, and let you on your way, unless of course they arrest you.

What they do after leaving you or with the video from the dash cam who knows

You could end up on "Police, Camera, Action
