Isn't Ebay wonderful
I have used ebay for years but recently taken to looking at clothes etc.
I placed a bid for stockings the other week and won.
I got 15 pairs for less than £10
I asked the sender to notify me when they had been posted and this gave me the chance to catch the post before my wife did.
I don't think I can do this too often as the adrenalin was high until I had hiden them away.

I use ebay quite a bit usually buying something once a week . have just bought pink chiffon dress , some pink satin gloves and a silk dress. some of the stuff is a bit iffy,(stains and smelly) . I set myself a bid limit and get some quite nice stuff. regards Vanessa

I am always buying items off ebay and from catalogs. If it from ebay, I always ask the seller if they will ship in an non-discript package before I bid. They usually will. Many companies will also ship in non-dicript packages. Many times the package will sit in the mail box or at your front door. If the wrapping is Pink and has say a big VS logo on it, someone may just swipe it. Otherwize if it is in a plain brown package, not logos or such, then most people will not even give much thought. even my mail order meds come in a plain package.

Except for hair and breast forms, corset and padded panties, i buy all my regular clothing locally so i can try it out... I have been looking at a new wig lately.....

plus old mining items (carbide lamps, flame safety lamps...) and mining stock certificates.....

I'm not sure about the UK, but here in the US a great solution is to rent a PO box at a UPS store or Mailboxes, or similar place. Have the goods delivered there, and they will keep it for you until you pick it up when convenient.

Most packages ship without descriptive logos on them. Stores catering to CDs know we are a secretive lot :heehee: You don't have to worry about the clerk where you rent the PO Box.

Hugs, Lori

I buy a lot from E Bay and also find local charity shops or jumble sales an excellent source for clothes, You can get a lot of clothes for little money at such places and I supplement my buying from EBay by selling on there as well.

Ebay is good for bargains.

But it is more fun to shopping in retail stores.

Jayne, You might try your local Goodwill, thrift or consignment stores. I do a lot of shopping at them and have found in some cases they have new, never ben worn merchandise. My last purchase was a pair of Ladies jeans that were new for $3.95...Check them out.

yes you can have a P.O box here in uk too.
im thinking of getting one myself as i use ebay quite a bit.
Its a little under £60 a year, but can only get post office delivered items delivered to it...i assume that would include parcel force...so its ideal for ebayers who are out during the day

Hi,

My new favorite is the JC Penny Outlet store in the Rolling Acres Mall in Akron, Ohio. Every trip is a treasure hunt! They have a rack full of A Cup bras for $6.99 . All of the girdles and such are the same price. Last week I found a pair of padded panties for $4.99 and a 44A bra. I was one happy girl!
