We all listen music. From BB King to Fall Out Boy, they all have lyrics. So I want you to post your favo lyrics!

Which text made you laugh or cry? Tell us! :D
---------------------------------------------------

Do you live, do you die, do you bleed
For the fantasy
In your mind, through your eyes, do you see
It's the fantasy

From "The Fantasy - 30 seconds to mars"

I tried to be someone else
But nothing seemed to change
I know now, this is who I really am inside
Finally found myself
Fighting for a chance
I know now, this is who I really am

From "The kill - 30 seconds to mars"

The devil went down to Georgia
He was lookin' for a soul to steal
He was in a bind
'Cause he was way behind
And he was willin' to make a deal

When he came upon this young man
Sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot
And the devil jumped
Up on a hickory stump
And said boy let me tell you what

I guess you didn't know it
but I'm a fiddle player too
And if you care to take a dare I'll make a bet with you

Now you play a pretty good fiddle, boy
But give the devil his due
I'll bet a fiddle of gold
Against your soul
'Cause I think I'm better than you

The boy said my name's Johnny
And it might be a sin
But I'll take your bet
And you're gonna regret
'Cause I'm the best there's ever been

Johnny rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard
Cause hell's broke loose in Georgia and the devil deals the cards
And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold
But if you lose the devil gets your soul.

The devil opened up his case
And he said I'll start this show
And fire flew from his fingertips
As he rosined up his bow

Then he pulled the bow across the strings
And it made a [sic] evil hiss
And a band of demons joined in
And it sounded something like this

[Instrumental]

When the devil finished
Johnny said well you're pretty good old son
Just sit right in that chair right there
And let me show you how it's done

He played Fire on the Mountain
Run boys, run
The devil's in the House of the Rising Sun
Chicken in a bread pan picken' out dough
Granny does your dog bite
No child, no

[Instrumental]

The devil bowed his head
Because he knew that he'd been beat
And he laid that golden fiddle
On the ground at Johnny's feet

Johnny said, Devil just come on back
If you ever wanna try again
I done told you once you son of a bitch
I'm the best there's ever been

And he played Fire on the Mountain
Run boys, run
The devil's in the House of the Rising Sun
Chicken in a bread pan picken' out dough
Granny does your dog bite
No child, no

Ah, so many great songs, so little time . . . here's one of my very favorites - particularly the parts I highlighted, 'cause they help inspire me when I'm feeling down (ya gotta love Queen):

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through

We are the champions my friends
And we'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions of the world

I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it
I thank you all

But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose

We are the champions my friend
And we'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'cause we are the champions of the world

I love this retelling of a very old myth:

"The Lyre Of Orpheus"
by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Orpheus sat gloomy in his garden shed
Wondering what to do
With a lump of wood, a piece of wire
And a little pot of glue
O Mamma O Mamma

He sawed at the wood with half a heart
And glued it top to bottom
He strung a wire in between
He was feeling something rotten
O Mamma O Mamma

Orpheus looked at his instrument
And he gave the wire a pluck
He heard a sound so beautiful
He gasped and said O my God
O Mamma O Mamma

He rushed inside to tell his wife
He went racing down the halls
Eurydice was still asleep in bed
Like a sack of cannonballs
O Mamma O Mamma

Look what I've made, cried Orpheus
And he plucked a gentle note
Eurydice's eyes popped from their sockets
And her tongue burst through her throat
O Mamma O Mamma

O God, what have I done, he said
As her blood pooled in the sheets
But in his heart he felt a bliss
With which nothing could compete
O Mamma O Mamma

Orpheus went leaping through the fields
Strumming as hard as he did please
Birdies detonated in the sky
Bunnies dashed their brains out on the trees
O Mamma O Mamma

Orpheus strummed till his fingers bled
He hit a G minor 7
He woke up God from a deep, deep sleep
God was a major player in heaven
O Mamma O Mamma

God picked up a giant hammer
And He threw it with an thunderous yell
It smashed down hard on Orpheus' head
And knocked him down a well
O Mamma O Mamma

The well went down very deep
Very deep went down the well
The well went down so very deep
Well, the well went down to hell
O Mamma O Mamma

Poor Orpheus woke up with a start
All amongst the rotting dead
His lyre tacked safe under his arm
His brains all down his head
O Mamma O Mamma

Eurydice appeared brindled in blood
And she said to Orpheus
If you play that f**king thing down here
I'll stick it up your orifice!
O Mamma O Mamma

This lyre lark is for the birds, said Orpheus
It's enough to send you bats
Let's stay down here, Eurydice, dear
And we'll have a bunch of screaming brats
O Mamma O Mamma

Orpheus picked up his lyre for the last time
He was on a real low down bummer
And stared deep into the abyss and said
This one is for Mamma

O Mamma O Mamma
O Mamma O Mamma

Duuude "Devil went down to Georgia" - I can play that! Great song. Love the Orpheus retelling - that's fun.
One of my favorites is my current signature, "Strangers Like Me" from Tarzan. It's a great song for coming into something new, like this place, where I'm meeting brand new people who are so much like me.
I also like "Somewhere In Between" by Lifehouse, for those rough times:
I can't be
Losing sleep over this
No I can't
And now I cannot stop pacing
Give me a few hours
I'll have this all sorted out
If my mind would just stop racing

Cause I cannot stand still
I can be this unsturdy
This cannot be happening

This is over my head
But underneath my feet
Cause by tomorrow morning I'll have this thing beat
And everything will be back to the way that it was
I wish that it was just that easy

Cause I'm waiting for tonight
Been waiting for tomoroow
I'm somewhere in between
What is real and Just a dream

*laughs* And anything ever written by Dave Matthews. I'm a sucker for it all. "Pig" is my current favorite:

Come sister
My brother
Shake up your bones shake up your feet
Im saying open up
And let the rain come flooding in
Wash out this tired notion
That the best is yet to come
But while youre dancing on the ground
Dont think of when youre gone
Love! love! - what more is there?
We need the light of love in here
Dont beat your head
Dry your eyes
Let the love in there
There are bad times
But thats ok
Just look for love in it

I wont post any of mine... but here is just one of my favs. I actually get wrapped up in the music so deeply I overlook lyrics 95% of the time.
*********************
AIN’T NO SUNSHINE - words and music by Bill Withers

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long
Anytime she goes away.

Wonder this time where she’s gone
Wonder if she’s gone to stay
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home
Anytime she goes away.

BRIDGE:

And I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, hey,

I ought to leave the young thing alone
But ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
Only darkness every day.
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home
Anytime she goes away.
Anytime she goes away.
Anytime she goes away.
Anytime she goes away.

Ooooh! Yay!
Okay, butting in with another Queen song, but probably one not many of you have heard. I'm not sure why I like the lyrics so much, I just do.

White Queen (As It Began)
(Brian May)

So sad her eyes smiling dark eyes
So sad her eyes as it began
On such a breathless night as this
Upon my brow the lightest kiss
I walked alone

And all around the air did say
My lady soon will stir this way
In sorrow known
The white queen walks
And the night grows pale
Stars of lovingness in her hair
Heeding unheard pleading one word
So sad my eyes she cannot see

How did thee fare what have thee seen
The mother of the willow green
I call her name
And 'neath her window have I stayed
I loved the footsteps that she made
And when she came
White queen how my heart did ache
And dry my lips no word would make
So still I wait

My goddess hear my darkest fear
I speak too late
It's for evermore that I wait
Dear friend goodbye
No tears in my eyes
So sad it ends as it began

Here's another of my absolute favourites.
Pink Floyd's 'On the Turning Away'

On the turning away
From the pale and downtrodden
And the words they say
Which we wont understand
Dont accept that whats happening
Is just a case of others suffering
Or youll find that youre joining in
The turning away

Its a sin that somehow
Light is changing to shadow
And casting its shroud
Over all we have known
Unaware how the ranks have grown
Driven on by a heart of stone
We could find that were all alone
In the dream of the proud

On the wings of the night
As the daytime is stirring
Where the speechless unite
In a silent accord
Using words you will find are strange
And mesmerized as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the night

No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
Its not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there'll be
No more turning away?

I put my hand on your stocking. I was movin' nice and slow
Let my fingers do the walking, and there ain't far to go

Don't tell me "I don't wanna be a girl like that"
Do you wanna see a grown man cry?
You don't wanna be a girl like that
Baby this could be the first time (this could be the first time)

Naughty Naughty, loud and bawdy,t-t-t-t-tease me
Take it easy, hug and squeeze
A naughty naughty, naughty, I'm a naughty naughty guy

Bedroom eyes, they undress me, take me, cut me to the bone
Lace and satin pressed against me, should we call a chaperone

Don't tell me "I don't wanna be a girl like that"
Do you wanna see a grown man cry
You don't wanna be a girl like that
Baby this could be the first time (this could be the first time)

Naughty naughty, cute and horny, t-t-t-t-tease me
Take it easy, hug and squeeze me, love outta line

With your hair hung down, and your dress ridin' high
And your eyes burning hot like the sun
Kiss me hard, squeeze me tight, gonna love you alright
Cause I'm a naughty, naughty, naughty guy

(Solo)

You don't wanna be a girl like that
Baby this could be the first time (this could be the first time)

Naughty naughty, cute and horny, t-t-t-t-tease me
Take it easy, hug and squeeze
A naughty naughty, naughty, I'm a naughty naughty (guy)

Naughty naughty, cute and horny, t-t-t-t-tease me
Naughty naughty, loud and bawdy, love outta line
Naughty naughty, loud and bawdy, t-t-t-tease me...(to fade)

Right now I'm feeling the Lifehouse, especially "You and Me." The first time I saw it was in a Sirius Black/Remus Lupin fanvid :D Here's a bit:

Cuz it's you and me,
and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to lose
and it's you and me
and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you

Another one I really like at the moment is "This Moment" by Melissa Etheridge:

I just wanna stay here in this moment
can I quietly slip into you?
You and I can stay here in this moment.
Let the world fade away, I just wanna stay with you.

Yeah, I'm a big fat romantic :P

This is my favorite song. Everything's Cool by Pop Will Eat Itself

[These eyes] see only what they wanna see
[These ears] hear only what they wanna hear
[These minds] think only what they wanna think
[These lies, these lies]

You will find no answers in this head
What you see is what you get
Watch as all the lights go out
Down and out, out for the count

Take your places, choose your sins
Everyone loses, noone wins
I have seen the future and this is how it begins

In chaos and riots, the screech of machines
No right and no wrong and no in between
Fall one by one, the queen to her fool
Dos dedos mis amigos - everything's cool
Everything's...

[These arms] hold whoever needs to be held
[These hands] take whatever they wanna take
[These words] fake whoever needs to be faked
[These lies, these lies]

Look for clues inside the baby's head
Hear the words yet to be said
Cue the music, fade to black
No such thing as no payback

Take this line, know where it ends
No return, no make amends
Is this the future or this is how it will end?

As far as songs that make me laugh, well I could post lyrics to a bunch of They Might be Giants songs but then this post would go on forever.

I love all Leonard Cohen's songs and poems (yes I know, music to slit your wrists by etc etc ha ha). Whichever one I've just been listeing to is my favourite- this is an old one, but still good.

Oh the sisters of mercy, they are not departed or gone.
They were waiting for me when I thought that I just can't go on.
And they brought me their comfort and later they brought me this song.
Oh I hope you run into them, you who've been travelling so long.
Yes you who must leave everything that you cannot control.
It begins with your family, but soon it comes around to your soul.
Well I've been where you're hanging, I think I can see how you're pinned:
When you're not feeling holy, your loneliness says that you've sinned.

Well they lay down beside me, I made my confession to them.
They touched both my eyes and I touched the dew on their hem.
If your life is a leaf that the seasons tear off and condemn
they will bind you with love that is graceful and green as a stem.

When I left they were sleeping, I hope you run into them soon.
Don't turn on the lights, you can read their address by the moon.
And you won't make me jealous if I hear that they sweetened your night:
We weren't lovers like that and besides it would still be all right

I know it's stupid but sometimes I think of the lyrics to Maybe Someday are like ... maybe someday I will get to "meet" my boy side.

I'd lie, beg, steal and borrow
To hear you whisper my name
Tonight there ain't no miracles
Washing up on this beach
The angels left here long ago
But I still believe that

Maybe someday
I will hold your hand
and maybe someway
We'll trace our footsteps in the sand
And just walk away… baby someday

Now I don't know how a heart beats
But I sure know how one breaks
Remember how I used to hold you
To share every breath that you'd take
How can I forget
Your every tear that I cry
I know you're coming back
You never kissed me goodbye

Maybe someday
I will hold your hand
And maybe someway
We'll trace our footsteps in the sand
And just walk away…

They say that nothing lasts forever
But we know our two hearts beat together
And though you're far away
Every night I pray
Maybe someday… someday…

Maybe someday
I will understand
baby someway
We'll trace these footsteps in the sand
just walk away… maybe someday

Manfred Mann's Earth Band, BLINDED BY THE LIGHT (even though I know they only did the cover, it's better than springsteen's version)
Blinded by the light
Revved up like a Deuce
Another runner in the night
[repeat to fade]

Madman drummers bummers Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat
In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way in to his hat
With a boulder on my shoulder feeling kinda' older I tripped the merry go round
With this very unpleasing sneezing and wheezing the calliope crashed to the ground

The calliope crashed to the ground and she was blinded by the light,
revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night.

Blinded by the light
Revved up like a Deuce
Another runner in the night
[repeat to fade]

Some silicone sister with her manager mister told me I got what it takes
She said I'll turn you on sonny to something strong play the song with the funky break
And go kart Mozart was checkin' out the weather chart see if it was safe outside
And little Early Pearly came by in his curly wurly and asked me if I needed a ride

Asked me if I needed a ride
And she was blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce
Another runner in the night

Blinded by the light
She got down but she never got tight
She's gonna make it through the night
She's gonna make it through the night

Mama always told me not to look into the eyes of the sun, but mama
That's where the fun is

Some brimstone baritone anti cyclone rolling stone preacher from the east
Says Dethrone the Dictaphone hit it in his funny bone and that's where they expect it least
And some new mown chaperone was standing in
The corner watching the young girls dance
And some fresh sewn moonstone was messing with his frozen zone reminding him of romance

The calliope crashed to the ground
And she was blinded by the light
revved up like a deuce
Another runner in the night

Blinded by the light
Revved up like a Deuce
Another runner in the night
[repeat to fade]

Scott with a slingshot finally found a tender spot and throws his lover in the sand
and some bloodshot forget me not his daddy's within earshot save the buckshot turn up the band.

She got down but she never got tight she's gonna' make it through the night.

Lyrics courtesy of http://www.manfredmann.co.uk/music/lyrics/roaring.htm#blind so there are no misheard typings etc, this is definitely one of those songs that does that.

Sarah Mclachlan - Good Enough

Hey your glass is empty
It's a hell of a long way home
Why don't you let me take you
It's no good to go alone
I never would have opened up
But you seemed so real to me
After all the bullshit i've heard
It's refreshing not to see
I don't have to pretend
She doesn't expect it from me
Don't tell me I haven't been good to you
Don't tell me I have never been there for you
Don't tell me why
Nothing is good enough
Hey little girl would you like some candy
Your momma said that it's OK
The door is open come on outside
No I can't come out today
It's not the wind that cracked your shoulder
And threw you to the ground
Who's there that makes you so afraid
You're shaken to the bone
And I don't understand
You deserve so much more than this
So don't tell me why
He's never been good to you
Don't tell me why
He's never been there for you
Don't you know that why
Is simply not good enough
So just let me try
And I will be good to you
Just let me try
And I will be there for you
I'll show you why
You're so much more than good enough...

Here's one I can't help thinking of as a tranny song:

A Man And A Woman
U2

Little sister don't you worry about a thing today
Take the heat from the sun
Little sister
I know that everything is not ok
But you're like honey on my tongue

True love never can be rent
But only true love can keep beauty innocent

I could never take a chance
Of losing love to find romance
In the mysterious distance
Between a man and a woman
No I could never take a chance
'Cause I could never understand
The mysterious distance
Between a man and a woman

You can run from love
And if it's really love it will find you
Catch you by the heel
But you can't be numb for love
The only pain is to feel nothing at all
How can I hurt when I'm holding you?

I could never take a chance
Of losing love to find romance
In the mysterious distance
Between a man and a woman

And you're the one, there's no-one else
who makes me want to lose myself
In the mysterious distance
Between a man and a woman

Brown eyed girl across the street
On rue Saint Divine
I thought this is the one for me
But she was already mine
You were already mine...

Little sister
I've been sleeping in the street again
Like a stray dog
Little sister
I've been trying to feel complete again
But you're gone and so is God

The soul needs beauty for a soul mate
When the soul wants...the soul waits ...

No I could never take a chance
Of losing love to find romance
In the mysterious distance
Between a man and a woman

For love and FAITH AND SEX and fear
And all the things that keep us here
In the mysterious distance
Between a man and a woman

How can I hurt when I'm holding you?

Here's just a fun one. If you haven't heard the song, I'd advise a listen. It always cheers me up.

Boris the Spider
(the Who)

Look, he's crawling up my wall
Black and hairy, very small
Now he's up above my head
Hanging by a little thread

Boris the spider
Boris the spider

Now he's dropped on to the floor
Heading for the bedroom door
Maybe he's as scared as me
Where's he gone now, I can't see

Boris the spider
Boris the spider

Creepy, crawly
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly

There he is wrapped in a ball
Doesn't seem to move at all
Perhaps he's dead, I'll just make sure
Pick this book up off the floor

Boris the spider
Boris the spider

Creepy, crawly
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly

He's come to a sticky end
Don't think he will ever mend
Never more will he crawl 'round
He's embedded in the ground

Boris the spider
Boris the spider

Any other AC/DC fans out there? Helloooooo, calling all you rockers.

HELLS BELLS
(1980)
(Young, Young, Johnson)
I'm a rolling thunder, a pouring rain
I'm comin' on like a hurricane
My lightning's flashing across the sky
You're only young but you're gonna die

I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives
Nobody's putting up a fight
I got my bell, I'm gonna take you to hell
I'm gonna get you, Satan get you

CHORUS:
Hell's Bells
Yeah, Hell's Bells
You got me ringing Hell's Bells
My temperature's high, Hell's Bells

I'll give you black sensations up and down your spine
If you're into evil you're a friend of mine
See my white light flashing as I split the night
'Cause if good's on the left, then I'm stickin' to the right

I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives
Nobody's puttin' up a fight
I got my bell, I'm gonna take you to hell
I'm gonna get you, Satan get you

CHORUS
yeow
Hell's Bells, Satan's comin' to you
Hell's Bells, he's ringing them now
Hell's Bells, the temperature's high
Hell's Bells, across the sky
Hell's Bells, they're takin' you down
Hell's Bells, they're draggin' you around
Hell's Bells, gonna split the night
Hell's Bells, there's no way to fight, yeah
Ow, ow, ow, ow
Hell's Bells

Now THATS a song.

This is a song I do have on my itunes. Yes I know I have a weird choice but with all the pirate fans I had to share it.

"The Pirates That Don't Do Anything" by Relient K

we are the pirates who don't do anything
we just stay at home, and lie around
and if you ask us, to do anything
we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

well I've never been to Greenland
and I've never been to Denver
and I've never buried treasure in St Louie or St Paul
and I've never been to Moscow
and I've never been to Tampa
and I've never been to Boston in the fall

we are the pirates who don't do anything
we just stay at home, and lie around
and if you ask us, to do anything
we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

and I've never hoist the main sail
and I've never swabbed the poop deck
and I've never veered starboard, cause I've never sailed at all
and I've never walked the gang plank
and I've never owned a parrot.
and I've never been to Boston in the fall

we are the pirates who don't do anything
we just stay at home, and lie around
and if you ask us, to do anything
we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

I've never plucked a rooster
and I am not too good at ping-pong
and I've never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall
and I've never kissed a chipmunk,
and I've never gotten head lice
and I have never been to Boston in the fall

(pirate captains log 2002
who be this band relient k
and why they be so full of contradictions)

we don't know what he did
but we're down with captain kidd
we don't wake up before lunch
but we all eat captain crunch
we don't smoke, we don't chew
we watch captain kangaroo

and I've never licked a spark-plug
and I've never sniffed a stink bug
and I've never painted Daisies on a big red rubber ball
and I've never bathed in yogurt
and I don't look good in leggings
and I've never been to Boston in the fall

we are the pirates who don't do anything
we just stay at home, and lie around
and if you ask us, to do anything
we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

we are the pirates who don't do anything
we just stay at home, and lie around
and if you ask us, to do anything
we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on, now,
There's too many places I haven't seen
And if I stayed here with you, now
Things just wouldn't be the same
Well I'm as free as a bird now,
And a bird you can not change.
And a bird you can not change.
And a bird you can not change.
Lord knows I can't change

Bye, bye, its been a sweet love.
And though this feeling I can't change.
Please don't take it badly,
The Lord knows I'm to blame.
And, if I stayed here with you now
Things just wouldn't be the same.
For I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you'll never change.
And the bird you can not change.
And the bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can't change.
Lord help me, I can't change.

Not only is the first line my favorite quote, but I relate my life and coming out to the song...

As a guitarist my tastes are many and varied, but for lyrical content and his "immpeccable songcraft", my favorite has to be John Hiatt, hands-down!

THE MOST UNORIGINAL SIN

What there was left of us / Was all covered up in dust and thick skin /
A half eaten apple / The whole Sistine Chapel / Painted on the head of a pin---A lifelong loves work / Gone up in a smirk/ And you didn't even see her waltz in---Now this love is a ghost, for having played host / To the most unoriginal sin---
At the wedding we smiled / While some devil played wild violin / Soon after the chapel / She offered me that apple / One bite and I was gone with the wind---And you needed no proof / Cause the whole naked truth / Was wearing only an infidels grin---And a proud school boys boast / For havin' left his post / For the most unoriginal sin---
Now the juke box is hummin' / All the venial short comings of men / But I found me this drink / That can finally sink / All this guilt I been wallowing in---Buddy once you get started / Once true love's departed / You do it over and over again---So tonite I will toast / Just who ever comes close / To the most unoriginal sin---

Mama I'm Strange - Melissa Etheridge

What's this little lie
They keep on telling me
It's just another high
They keep on selling me
I was only five
They fed me so much jive
They said just have a ball Just be a Barbie doll
They churned and burned me out
Until they turned me out
Over and over again

Mama I'm strange
The thoughts and the wants are the locks
On the back of my brain
I'm descending pretending I'm blending
I'm going insane
And they want me to change
Mama I'm strange

I'm on a shaky wall
I'm tripping down the hall
And all the king's men can't
Can't sew me up again
I've got a leaky head
Don't know the full extent
I'm drowning in my bed
I'm just an accident
They chewed and blew me out
Until they threw me out
Over and over again

If I could tranquilize
I might just vaporize
They couldn't supervise
They couldn't criticize
I have no evidence
I have no reverence
It makes no difference
I have no innocence

Help me mama help me now

A.C.T. - She/Male

She grew up, became a man, what's going on?
Parents told her:
Disappear, don't turn around.
Please, never come back, go away, and pack your bags, filthy one.
Filled with sorrow she threw out some of her old clothes.
All her skirts she now had drowned in gasoline.
Flames touching the sky, burning up her old life, no regrets.
Growing a beard, finally a man.

Please accept that she is nothing but a normal guy.
We can't help that she's been raised in a narrow-minded world.
Scratching his crutch, just like real men do.
Filled with strength, takes another step.

To become a full-grown man she needed help.
A crazy little Swedish surgeon took her case.
Cut, pasted and sewed, changing her totally, renewed and gay.
Shoulders now broad, finally a man.

Please accept that she is nothing but a normal guy.
We can't help that she's been raised in a narrow-minded world.
Scratching his crutch, just like we all do.
Filled with strength, entering the world!

Something appeared.
What a nice surprise that was.

Please accept that she is nothing but a normal guy.
We can't help that she's been raised in a narrow-minded world.
Scratching his crutch, just like we all do.
Filled with strength, entering the world!
