The other day I was at safeway wanting to buy pantyhose among other things and I bumped into my cousin, my friend's mom, and a teacher from my old high school. I learned rush hour in the afternoon is a terrible place to shop, more so living in a small town. This type of thing ever happen to you ladies?

I run into people I've met all the time when I'm out shopping. So far I haven't noticed them when I've been in the ladies dept yet.

If I run into them in the hoserie isle I have a couple come backs to say why. 1. if it's cold outside I say that I'm buying them to stay warm, it works for true cowboys why not me. 2. I use them to shine my shoes, works great spit shinning. 3. I lost something in my shag carpets and need to find it, put them on the end of a vacuum hose and find what you are looking for. Other departments, I looking for something for my daughter, she's 14.:tongueout

I don't shop for ladies apparel in my little town, I go to the city. Two times I've been almost caught. The first time was a the JC Penney Outlet, I was in the women's department and had a package of panties in my cart. I looked up and almost ran into a lady I worked with, we said hi and went our ways, she never mentioned seeing me there or if she had seen the panties in my cart. The second time I was in Lane Bryant, I'd just bought something and was walking from the back of the store about halfway through when I saw my local town gossip coming in the door. I crept to the front of the store and made my escape without her noticing me. I still shop in both stores and many others, and I'm sure that eventually I'll get caught by someone I know. It is not something to worry about.

I've had a couple of close calls. A few months ago, I was heading to the MAC store at the local mall and bumped right into one of my friends walking out of the store. Luckily I hadn't walked INTO the store yet. :)

I tend to shop during the week whenever possible. Too many of my friends are shopaholics, and there's a pretty good chance of running into them at the mall on the weekends.

One of my customers I do a lot of work for caught me in the cosmetics at Wal-Mart one day. He said "I did not take you for the make-up type". I replied I was picking up something for the wife and he has never mentioned it even though I have done several more jobs for him.

I have bumped into a number of people I know while shopping, freinds, relatives, co-workers. I just tell them I am shopping for something for a female freind, or my SO, or my mom. But the one time I was walking into JCPenney to check out a sale, and my SO was walking out, scared the heck out of me. Had to think real quick, thank god it was getting close to Christmas, told her I saw the sale and was going to surprise her. So I bought me some nice things and also picked up her something while I was shopping, worked out great.

Was in the women's department, just looking an hear someone call my name look up to see an old friend sitting behind the assistant counter, so I played it off an went over an talked to her for a little while then left, but kind of makes it hard for me to shop there now, less I go real late at night :D

I often bump in people I know even when in Brocketta mode. Everyone knows I'm trans anyway and no-one seems bothered.

When I was Back Home at xmas, wandering through Zellers hoping to find a water bra, who should come down the isle but the very person I was on my way to visit! (He didn't ask why I was in the women's section. I could have said I was looking for something for my wife for xmas.)

Well a few years ago i was shopping in fem in Alexandria Va and ran into a banker friend of mine. He looked me over for a min. or two and went on with his shopping. I quickly made haste out of the shop hoping he hadn't figured out who i was, and headed across the street to a straight bar to get a drink. Wow did i need one. Fifteen minutes later a voice said to me, " I wondered where you went, can i buy you a drink". Talk about fear running down my back. I politely shook my head no, and headed for the door.. I don't believe he ever figured out who i was or at least he hasn't said a word yet.

I haven't run into anyone yet, but it is a realistic fear of mine. I don't shop locally anymore because of that worry since I'm not out with my dressing.

It's never happened to me, fortunately. This is why I shop for things online, unless my wife is with me. I feel so selfconcious in the women's section of a store, even if I'm buying for my wife. :o

I shop where ever I want to, in drab and enfemme. I feel, that I can't get CAUGHT, because that implies that I'm doing something WRONG.

Well, I'm not doing anything "wrong", I'm just shopping like any other person. And if someone I know, has a proublem with what I'm buying, well, shame on them.

I have been in a store on the way to look at something, and run into somebody, D'OH, ruined my trip. I had to go to another store to get the panyhose. I was also shopping once, and had some makeup in the cart and ran into somebody, but luckily I glanced down and it was covered by another item, WHEwwww, got away with it. I am always on the look out, but you never know who will see you. And I would guess we have all been seen at least once by someone that just doesnt care and doesnt say anything.
