I have noticed that as I get older I am more interested in all out glamour. I used to be satisfied with some sexy lingerie, or just pantyhose, heels and a skirt. that just doesn't seem to make the grade anymore. Is it an addiction when you need more and more to satisfy? Increasingly I find I need all out glamour to feel fulfilled. How do you ladies feel about this?

Hi, I think you are just normal. Sorry, you are just following the normal progression of crossdressing. Not many ppl started out with a complete make over. Most started with one or two items and then added more. Till you get to complete dressing. We have all been there, have fun enjoying the glam...BJ

Sigh...you are so beautiful.....but with that said, I agree.
I am moving to a stage where it is still fun to be hot and sexy, but the glamorous stage is becoming more of a constant theme in my choice of clothing to buy. The right dress with the right shoes and the right wig...and in your case...the right necklace. Striving for a look...the look. It is an addiction, but a great one!
You are such an inspiration!

You look glamourous! I've always been "plainer". I'm too large to look as good as you do in that dress. I tend to dress as the woman I would have been if I were a GG. I tend to long dresses, pants etc.

It hasn't come to that yet, but I gone from simple day dresses to nicer office looking clothes.

I see nothing wrong with wanting to look glamorous. I think that we like that look at one point. I know that I need to go shopping just looking at your picture. You look simple wonderful.

Ok, you qualify! You are Grade-A, Number One Quality, "Glamourgirl" Material. You look terrific and feminine.
Ah, but a question? It seems a pity to just be wearing beautiful evening gowns like that only around the house. Where are you going to go, to show off the new image?
Seems a great dinner out, or a formal affair are the only possibilities. So, if your going to take in a night at The Ballet, or something similar... please share that experience with us.
By the way, don't forget The opera Gloves. Might as well go all the way! I just love the "glamour" that they add to the look.
Peace and Love, Joanie

Lowla you look incredibly elegant in this photo, were you preparing for the red carpet?:heehee:
Your comment is relevant to me, wehre I believe if one is going to make an effort then, one might as well go all the way for the glamour look. The only issue is where do you go to utilize this fabulous look? Maybe more awards nights? All the best, I was watching the Oscars tonite, thought you would have fit in quite nicely:hugs:

Lowla -- I think many of us girls like to look glamourous from time to time. I have plenty of clothes to "mix in" when going out, but I pause to check out gowns and cocktail dresses on line. I even bought a gown last October in person, but alas no invites to any fancy doings.
Maybe some of the GG's here should post how they feel about getting all glammed up from time to time.
P.S. You look fantastic. Love the gown, too.

I'm the same way--the older I get the more I prefer silk, satin, leather, lame outfits that just scream "look at Me"--I want to be noticed and admired and don't want to "pass" as some nondescript house frau in a super market or shopping mall. Even My jeans outfits are over the top, with a sexy blouse or other top and the jeans tucked into thigh high stilleto heeled boots. ps--really agree with Stirling about the opera gloves---have two pair of shoulder lenqth gloves Myself and three shorter pairs.

Thats just normal. Anything becomes ordinary, when you do it often enough. Thats why you have to continually be upping the ante, to get excited. Too bad women don't understand this.
When I was married, a couple times a year, I would suggest to my wife, that she put on some nylons and heels, and maybe some lingerie. Her standard reply was, "can't we just get in bed and do it". Totally frustrating.
Now that I'm single for many years, I dress whenever I want, but I find myself always upping the ante, for new excitement. Even steak or lobster every night for dinner, gets old after while.
well yes me too , but then again if i look as good as you well i would post my shots too

Lowla, you always look glamarous to me! Love the picture! I guess I agree, if you are going to go femme, why not the most femme and glam you can be?:2c:

Personally for me ...the glam thing is something I like to do for a special event ...I never crave it and quite frankly as I go out more and more ..the less glammy the better :)..the "mature" thing is a different must do for everyone I'm sure

The photo is wonderful! You look maaahvelous, dalink'.
In the very early days, I was looking for the athletic, cheerleader look. That progressed to the professional office, but now, my focus has been more "shopping" casual.
I look at gowns from time to time, even the common wedding dress dream is forefront, but so far it's not been a priority. I guess, as many have suggested, I need a date and a place to go.

Well, Yes!
I need *more* glamour, though not *always*.
I don't know how to "dress down" - like jeans and hoodie.
I like the skirts and blouses look - its fun and versatile...sometimes *almost* glamorous.
But a full length dress and jewelry, and a delicate hairstyle.....MMmmmmmmmm - now that makes me feel like a w.o.m.a.n!
BTW Dear, you look Marvelous !

Speaking for myself, I've found that since I started dressing again after a long break, a long, long break, I've started exposing more flesh. No, not like that, I used to always or nearly always be in long sleeves, tie necks, or blouses with bows but now I'm happy to show more neck, and yes, cleavage, even my arms. I am so much happier a girl these days as well, because I started looking at what women my age (wife included) are wearing, so now I hope I look more like a 'normal' woman than a trannie.

I, too, am too large to look as good as you do in that dress; however, I also have noticed that as I have become more mature, I want to make my look more and more complete. I want the hair, the outfit, the make-up, the shoes, the accessories to be just right and completely feminine. I think, as others have said, that that is part of a fairly normal progression. For me, it is also a desire to experience more and more things en femme--movies, dining, dancing, singing, swimming, gardening, more shopping, and other outings (including camping and hiking). I want to do all these things as a woman.

I'm not sure if glamorous is the right word for myself. Maybe professional. I have noticed as I get older, I'm losing the mini-skirt/clubwear look and tending to favor the business look of a skirt suit or dress. It is definitely a more appropriate look for me! :hugs:
