A great, great song Kirsti, sung and popularized by the late, great Louie "Satchmo" Armstrong...here are the full lyrics:

What A Wonderful World
(George Weiss/Bob Thiele)

I see trees of green, red roses too -
I see them bloom, for me and you -
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world -

I see skies of blue, and clouds of white -
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night -
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world -

The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky -
Are also on the faces, of people going by -
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?" -
They're really sayin', "I love you" -

I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow -
They'll learn much more, than I'll ever know -
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world -
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world -

Oh yeah.....

I made myself cry just typin' this out ladies...it's one beautiful song.:)

Thank you Mr.Weiss, Mr. Thiele, and Mr. Louie Armstrong! ;)

Love to all in this wonderful world,
Chrissie

Hi all. It is refreshing to see and talk with those who see the good around them. This song is wonderful. The radio station I listen to while in my office all day plays these kinds of songs including this one.

What would it be like if everyone saw only the good things the world has to offer? I can only imagine and often do.

My birthday was last week (47) and my kids (son15 and daughter 12) got me 'Louis Armstrong's Greatest Hits' just because I love this song so much. Rod Stewart just did a cover of it on his Great Armerican Song Book series and it is a very good version. Cheers Girls!

Kristi, not wasteful at all, that is a beautiful song I never get tired of hearing. Like Christine, I love the Louis Armstrong version. I'm glad you brought that up, nice to be reminded of such a song of beauty.
Love,
Vickie

Not only a great, romantic song, but one that speaks so clearly that attitude will shape what we see. Maybe it should become the forum's official song?
