I see that a lot of people state a general mood leveling off when on hormones. Are hormones ever perscribed just to control a more even keel attitude towards things, in particular work. In this case I guess a wanted "side effect" would not be looked bad upon (by me anyway!!)

I really have a great disposition while on them, almost too laid back. I like my personality better than the one full of testosterone.

Going off hormones was FAR harder than quitting cigarettes.
I'm on a 2mg regiment but am going to back down to 1, but I can already feel it at the end of the day on just 1mg.
Yes there are some on just for the mood enhancing, and I plan to stay that way too.......just a better life overall than previous.
I used to get irritated, angry at things if they weren't going the way I'd like etc
It RARELY ever happens on HRT.

I'm still looking for a doctor who will give me the necessary perscription to see if it would help me...:rolleyes:

I'm still on a starter dose of mones, plus I'm bi-polar, so I've been having some real bad mood swings...I'm kicking up the spiro and hope they stop.
