Went a little crazy...

I've been intending to buy a new pair of shoes but simply hadn't seen anything that I liked and was available in my size (14). I decided to take the risk (I hate having to send things back) and buy a pair online. All I currently own are two pairs of black 4" pumps, two 3" strappy sandles, and a random assortment of flat sandals.

Well you know how shoe shopping is. I ended up ordering three pairs :)

I'll post pics of me in them when they show in in a week or so. And no, the anticipation is not more fun than getting them. ;)

A search on Amazon.com for "women's shoes size 14" then narrowed to only the apparel category, returned 2500 hits. These are all from a vendor called "Picarona".

Once I had decided to order shoes I actually limited myself to a single vendor to simplify shipping issues. This vendor had free shipping on orders over $75.

The "seam" in question on the boots is in fact the zipper, I own a pair almost exactly like them and thats where the zipper is. I also suggest trying http://www.snaz75.com I order shoes from here and they have a wide selection of shoes, boots, clothing in a wide range of heel heights, color, sizes, etc. They do focus on the "bigger" feet woman and are open to selling shoes targeted for crossdressers too. The prices arent too shabby I would also like to add :D Plus any order over $75 is normally free shipping too!

One thing I should mention. I got my first pair of women's shoes at Glamour Boutique in LV. The weird thing was despite the fact that My feet are proportionate for my hight (12.5 or 13 mens shoe, 6'5") most of the shoes in womens patterns that are intended for men (the (W)ide in large sizes) were too big for me. Amy at GB kept telling me that; I must have tried on every pair of size 14 & 15 she had in the shop to find a pair that fit.

So not only do I need to find size 14 or 15 shoes, I need to find medium width ;)
