well spent another hour in the hr office due to harassment. i dont know what to do. people here look at me like they want to kill me. i am back in high school again. humans have not evolved at all since we picked up our first stick to kill each other. personally if the big G asked for my vote on humanity i am afraid we would all get the thumbs down.
Its not gonna stop me though, so far they have taken everything away but they cannot take my integrity.

Michelle,
I've been through horribly hard times in my life as well. Times when I didn't know if I would survive. Hardship will change you and form a different person. It most likely won't destroy you. We have a purpose and like it or not, we have to live out our days regardless. Remember, there are good things to life and you will have them in the future.

One thing, I have been to B.C. and wish I could move there. It is a very lovely place to live. I have heard about some of the problems in Surrey B.C. but really compared to many other places on the planet, it is a big step up. I'm not going to say "look on the bright side" but dwelling on the dark side is counterproductive.

Shelly don't let the stares at work bother you, I get the same thing at my place of employment. Some people are just plain jerks so don't let them get you down. It doesn't matter what other people think about yours and I's lifestyle, we are not living our lives to please others but to be ourselves. Just remember that only you knows what is best for yourself not what others think. We have a special gift but there are some that just don't except that. Cheer up things will get better in given time we have all been through more than what most people would ever be able to handle, just coping with that makes us all much stronger persons.

Shelley, it sounds like you're going through a really tough time (Duh, Lori, HERE's Your SIGN!).

I'm so glad you're hanging on. I'm sure that's all you can do. I have tried to show the buttheads at work who don't appreciate me that I will not stoop to their level. Oh, sure, I can dish it back, but I'm finding that taking the high road is giving me some better ground with the job overall. Just remember, you should only be concerned about those you respect and love, you should not give a darn or a hoot (insert expletive here if necessary) about those knuckleheads you have ZERO respect for.

You have our respect because you're holding onto your dignity. You go, girl!

I'm glad taking the high road is working for you. It will ultimately lead to you being successful at work also. At least as long as you aren't set up intentionally for failure or falsely accused. I have a T-friend who got terminated from her job not b/c she's bad at what she does, in fact, she received outstanding ratings on her yearly performance reviews each year. Instead, some bad guys set her up and accused her of doing all sorts of bad things which she never did. Now she's up the creek without a paddle or a job.

Be careful, but hold your head high, girl. We ARE here for you!
