View Full Version : A visit to the stylist.
My SO surprised me Monday night by guiding me into a beauty salon at the mall where she had decided we should have my hair colored. Prior to going gray I had very dark brown/black hair, but had pretty much been completely grey for the last 10 years (and I'm not all that old). Once I agreed, she and the stylist talked it over and picked out a color. The stylist also trimmed my hair a bit, but didn't make any major changes; Personally I'd like to try hot rollers and give it some more body, but I really don't know that much about how to do it and don't know if I would go to a salon for a body wave (or whatever it is called).
Anyway the color they selected was called "Dark blond" though it looks more like a light-medium brown to me. I haven't decided if I should keep my hair this color, go back to grey, or goa shade or two darker. You can see my original hair color in the first post in this thread http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51715 for comparison, though the light reflecting off my hair in that picture gave it a more yellow tone than it really had.
So this is the new hair color. What do you think?

Kali,
Impressive. Your hair looks nice. Bet that was fun getting to go to the solon!

Needed a trim anyway ;). My girfriend basically just kept making funny comments, since without my glasses (and I didn't have my contacts) I couldn't actually see what was going on.

Your hair looks great. I wish mine was as long and had that kind of body. I don't know too much about your facial features, but the hair should help you to come close to passing. (I can see the beard too... That's OK. It's you.)

It looks great. Back in 2004/2005 when I was out of work. My wife suggested that I color my hair and beard. It did work out for a few weeks, then we noticed that started getting alergic to the dye. I would get my hair colored and then within two days, my face would swell up and I would look like a chipmonk. We even changed brands, but the same result. So no more coloring my hair. When I came to Dallas, I decided to shave the beard for two reasons. First it make me look younger, and I could dress up and got out. LOL
