evening girls....i am newer than new but hows this for a question...where does everyone get the money to do all their shopping..i mean, if your wife/partner doesnt know how do you come up with undetectable liquid cash...I make a ton but man, i could never get away with spending the kind of money i'd like to to support a wardrobe that would satisfy me...what say you all.

Hi Laura, welcome to our madhouse.

I think the best way is just to slowly buildup your wardrobe buying one item at a time - and many items can be purchased cheaply if you know where to buy. You need only spend say $50 a month and by the end of the year you could have a sizeable stash.

If you are ever on business trips then that is also an ideal time to get stuff as these purchases can be hidden among other business expenses.

Well, since I handle the finances, that's no problem. Plus we both have our own accounts, although they are still joint accounts. He salary goes in hers, mine in mine. She pays for houshold expenses, I pay the bills.

Overtime, change in a jar will buy you anything you want.

Sewing things for yourself is very inexpensive, but it's also very time consuming. Lots of times you can get a good deal on clothing at a thrift store, then alter it to fit.

Eat a little less lunch and use the money you save to buy clothes (and improve your figure at the same time) ;) .

Bonus? What bonus? Seriously certain things end up costing more than they should. Right?*hint* Need some items for the job(never to be seen)? *hint* Oh no! My suit had to go to the cleaners cause I spilt coffee all over it! *hint*

Practice. Necessity is the mother of invention;)

I never had this problem as my wife did not only know about my dressing but helped me buy cloths. Mind you even this has its problems, like when you are looking forward to wearing your new sexy panties only to find she had borrowed them. We used to have a saying, “the first up in the morning was the best dressed”.

For all the others who’s wives do not know about your dressing how about this? Buy cloths and other things, allow her to know about some of them and then hide them. After a few times tell her they are for you and she will be so relieved that the cloths etc are for you and not another woman she will accept your love of dressing.

Or am I just dreaming??? On second thoughts it may not be such a good idea. Sorry I can not be more of a help.

Hi ladies!

"Sue" and I manage our own money, although we have joint accounts we both have access to. We came to an agreement before we got married on how we would handle money. She got burned bad by her first husband having all the credit in his name, so when they got divorced, she literally had to establish credit for herself. We broke down the expenses by ability to pay in terms of how much we earned. "Sue" has always made much more than me even when I had my full time job, so she is the primary breadwinner in the family. My income is supplemental. We are the prototype financial role reversal couple...but it seems to work for us.

I'm retired now and being "domestic goddess" of the abode...when I'm not on the internet to y'all...which gives you a pretty good idea how much "domestic goddessing" I get done during the day! Anyway, I seem to be able to find the money to allocate to my CD'ing....always have, even when I was single. Drive's "Sue" nuts too, but this was the system that she wanted and agreed to and it has worked well, for the most part. Guess this is just another classic example of the phrase.."Be careful what you wish for.";)

Love,
Chrissie ("Domestic Goddess"):)

Hello & Welcome Laura, I wish I had money to through around, but when you have a true passion for something, you find ways. What I have comes from many years of dressing, and being a pak-rat, not throwing anything away.It just accumulates.
Love,
Vickie

Two things. Glad to know there is another member of the M.H.C. among us, but never in a million years is getting a pilots license a waste. LOL LOL

There have been times that just hopping in a plane after work and ending up where I ended up was the therapy that was needed. No phones, no people, no demands, just open space - gorgeous open space.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

By the way, WELCOME, LauraLeigh, to the asylum, I mean the forum sisterhood. Hope to "hear" more from you. Everyone here is A-OK.

Gotta have it now,not when I can afford it.I have close to 100 bras, and countless panties, and credit card balances that equal my annual income. This is a big problem and good thing you are more sensible than me.I do the bills and sneak and buy way too many things for my feminine desires that are out of control.

I carefully use my pocket cash which isn't much but over time it adds up. :)

My number one rule when Roberta shopping is.

Never pay full price for anything!

Sales, closeouts, discount stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, used clothing botiques, Goodwill, Valu-Village, Big Lots.

And dont forget E-bay!

First, welcome to the Forum. Hmm, perhaps we should all have photos of ourselves in togas, with our lady gear on underneath, of course.

Not to worry about not having a lot of stuff. Rome wasn't built in a day (just can't let go of that Forum thing...), and most of us took a while both to build a wardrobe, and the confidence to wear it.

Another approach would be to examine how it would be if your wife knew about your femme side. It's not about the money, it's about the trust. Much harder to look at than tucking a few dollars a week away for "private" usage, but something you may want to examine. If you are ever able to cross that bridge, you will have gained something more valuable than anything you'll find in the change jar. Maybe not for a while, or a very, very long while, but ultimately it is something worthy of considering.

I make extra money through Internet sales.(Ebay etc.)
Also I am so surprised that so many people are unaware of the power of price bartering in your local stores, yes includeing Wal-mart,Belks,Factory Outlets ,Youd be surprised at how often you can shave prices off of certain items from these stores just by requesting to talk with a store shift manager.
Their in bussiness to sell,so as long as they make some profit theyll often reduce the prices to sell,or get rid of it.
Awhile back I was at a Bali store and they had an inventory reduction sale, kind of like a clearance, problem I have with retail stores use of the word clearance is that they miss apply the word "clearance"from its original context of meaning reduced at,or below seller purchased price.
Anyhow knowing that the clearanced items were not set at or below their cost to make,or purchased,I was able to reduce the cost of 20 items by an average of $4.00 per peice.
(originally they were reduced to $4.99 per bra,but got them for $1.00 per.
So it would have costed $99.80 for the 20 items before taxes, but I got them for $20.00.
A savings of $79.80 pretty good wouldnt you say?
I do that with every item that I can.
Sometimes they wont deal, but once you get the hang of how to tweek it works perfectly, especially if they see you are an avid frequent shopper in their store,it helps them to remember you, your kind of secretly implanting a subliminal image of you.
By the way it also works in grocery stores when you want to stock up your freezer with meats.
They get comfortable with you,how comfortable well as an example a couple of days ago I went to a local Wal-mart store to purchase some items, and makeup.
I went through the check out and when I went through the doors the inventory control alarm went off.
I stopped and waited the employees were looking at me they all waved me on without ever checking either my receipt or the cart, thinking to myself the scanner didnt deactivate one of those anti-theft stickers on an item.
Until I unloaded my items from my cart, while shopping I put my Jacket in the cart as it was very warm,a bottle of liquid foundation I had put in the cart was covered,of which I didnt see while unloading to the belt.
A mistake on my part, but also a mistake on their part.
Wal-mart does prosecute theifs whether its $.10 or $10,000,000 so I went and paid for the item.
Besides $5.00 for a bottle of foundation isnt nothing compared to other savings from the store through price barterings.

if you don't have the money, then do what I did as a poor uni student... op shops, swap and borrow from friends (no sister to steal from) or go without food to save.

If you have the money.... and your other half knows you have clothing fetishes but doen't like a waste of money... then pay half cash half credit... two recipts, looks like your'e not spending as much

Or go to a CD shop that has an alternative business name... "transitions by Celeste" Cd clothes might have another business name like Transmission parts.. or computer service lots of brothels and CD shops do this. There is one here that has "Picture framing".

OR Buy something for your wife at the same time and it looks like you have bought a very expensive gift for her on the ceidit card bill and you have something too. Now even if you are in trouble for over spending she'll still love it. Some guys use this when buying for girlfriend and wife.

OR buy clothes at large department store that sell both Ladies and mens clothing. and buy your "drab" at op shops.
