View Full Version : I went to a staff function dressed

Hi all,
I summed up the courage yesterday and went to our annual staff party dressed up completely. A real first and in a way my 'coming out', despite everybody knowing, few have ever met Natasha.
It was not a dress-up party at all, loads of people were just there in their regular work clothes. I had a gorgeous red and plum dress on with 3'' heels, my favorite blonde wig (the same as the one on my homepage).
There were one or two nasty comments, but on the most part out of 106 people the majority were very cool!
I was apprehensive about my reception. When I first arrived many were taken by surprise and couldn't help staring. Lots of the girls, gave me a hug and some of the men were just so cool. I did three GG's makeup for the party, and one of them did mine. I'm a qualified make-up artist (completed the course and exams 18 months ago) so usually the ladies at the office bug me, but this was the first time I've ever done that too.
What a night of firsts. I'm sure the photos will circulate and them comments will fly starting Monday, but I'm quite happy.
I will post pics as soon as I get them. Everyone took photos, including many who whipped out their cellphones to take pictures!
I couldn't be more out there if I tried!

WOW!!!!!! Congratulations I hope!
I hope things are still fine at work in the coming days and weeks. That's quite a shock to people, even if they knew. There is a difference between knowing and seeing. However, it sounds as though it went well overall. I look forward to seeing the pics.
I hope you'll be prepared for all of the questions and comments next week at work, including, "Are you gay?" and "What's next?" I hope you'll be able to respond to same with equanimity. Responding with grace will get you more champions and advocates.
Anyway, wow Natasha! Congrats, and enjoy the weekend. :D

Hi Natasha.
Very well done, it must have took a great deal of nerve. But you do look great, is there any jobs at your place? I work cheap just a few Rand and a weekly makeover will do. I will make coffee, clean up anything just as long as I can wear my female cloths.

I wish I had one-tenth the courage you have Natasha! As the other girls have already said, I hope everything goes well for you on your return to work again.

That takes a lot of balls.
But then again you wouldn't want then showing under your dress.
I would love to be so brave.
Well done with such a successful coming out. :)

Natasha dear,
You must a had a long skirt to hide the balls that it took to go to the work party in dress. I admire you greatly for the courage that it took you. I only dream a doing something like that. Although I have been out on my own where nobody would see me, I don't think I could ever go where people would see me especially people that knows me. You are my idol. Lots a luck at work next week and I hope that all goes well for you.

For my 100th post, some pics of the event, as proof! As you can tell, one of the girls and I ended up donig a jig in the pool :)
Work has been quite quiet, barring my friends who said some nice things. Of course photos are floating about on our file servers, but that's OK. It's not like they didn't see me already anyway ;)

I have to agree the last photo shows a very happy girl, what exactily was the deal with the third shot fully dressed in the pool? Oh come on, nobody else is listening it's just between you and me? :p

One GG decided to dance in the pool. Alcohol was involved! In the state I was it seemed like a good idea, and besides it's just the kind of girly crazy things women do, and I was up for it.
So off we went dancing in the pool. As you can see it was shallow enough, but I still got the bottom of the dress wet.

I also neglected to mention that I was interviewed for a video that was shown the same day, at the same event.
The interview was about cross skilling consultant, but soon turned into the interviewer asking me to draw an analogy between cross skilling and crossdressing. It drew a lot of laughs.
That was in the morning... before anyone knew what was to transpire that night. I still don't know where I got the guts to do it. Getting a little pissed and dressing is one thing, but I pakced all my girly things while I was stone cold sober.

Hi Natasha!
First, the pics are great!!!!!!!!! Again congratulations and I hope things continue to go well at work for you. (The pool might have been a tad "over the top", but c'est la vie, non?)
Second, regarding proof, when I read your post I thought it extraordinary, but didn't have much need for proof. Call it honesty shining through your words in this and past threads, backed by your avatar.
Ha ha ha!!!!! You look great Lady!!!!! :D

Hi Natasha,
I wish the world had more girls like you. You make all of us just want to get dressed up and go in the world yelling "This is me". Keep it up and I already know you're having fun.

One of the people at work surprised me today, by being complimentary about my dress, and they meant it in a nice way. Another said "hey babe" to me. Of course being in the IT industry the news spread like wildfire, as have the photos. I thought being on national television 10 years ago, and going to a party last year was big news, but evidently getting dressed and going to a work event with 100+ people is even bigger news!
I also got more pics from other sources today, so I've posted three more :)
Another reason for you all to come out, if you have the typical tranny narcissism. There are more people to take photos ;)
Lastly thanks for all the fantastic remarks, I dreamt about the day I would have the guts to do this and it finally came true. It's truly awesome to live through this everyday.

Natasha,
More great photos - you look very much at home. Now that is what I call tranny pride! This is probably the best story/pictures I have seen since joining this forum. Well done and make sure to follow this up at the next party :)
