So, yeah. Yesterday ago I came out to my girlfriend in the most cowardly way possible. I wrote an 'unsent letter' in another forum where I knew she lurked. It was mostly to get all my confusion and stuff off my chest , but I knew she'd find it eventually. And eventually ended up meaning later that same day. She was shocked, but says she should have known. Apparently she's been wondering recently if I was trans or not, so she's being supportive and hopefully won't mind that I'm sending her novel-length emails about how confused I am?
I feel very happy right now. :) It's so nice to just...let stuff go. And I'm actually talking about my feelings (!!), which I clearly need to do more often.

Well, there may be preferable ways to come out, but I think there are no absolute right and wrong ways to do this. You know her better, and you have the best idea of what would work in your situation. Different approaches for different people, I'd say. And it worked, right? So that's great. A big load off your shoulders, I bet. Congrats!
What great news :) Glad it all was ok for you :)
