Hello all!

Just wanted to share with you my first experience going out during the day. It may be lengthy, but I think you'll enjoy reading it.

I have been dressed twice before, venturing out around my local area, but in the cover of night.
After I did it, I couldn't wait to do it again. I thought about it,
but this time, wanted to try and do a day outing.

Just over a month ago, I talked to a GG friend of mine and mentioned that I
had a day off, Monday, and that I would like to come over to model
some clothes for her.
She said that she would be free and so I said I would come in the
morning dressed in femme. I had modeled for her before, but only got
dressed (applied makeup, wig, etc.) at her place so this time I
wanted to come over in femme.

When Monday rolled around, I put on my makeup, wig, bra, pantyhose, a
black drape-neck ruched top, a pair of womens Jeans, and black pumps. I picked this particular outfit because I had been observing various women, in
their 20s and 30s, and noticed that this was a type outfit they would typically
wear.
It was pretty cold that morning (upper 30s in Fla?) so I put on a
hooded jacket, got into my car, and drove over to my friend's place.

When I got there, she commented at how well I looked.
Last time I was there, I used a dark tan foundation, along with
purple and pink eye shadow, and a dark pink blush. But, this time
(upon her suggestion), I used a lighter foundation, a brown colored
eye shadow, and lighter pink blush. It seemed to blend in better
because she said she noticed a difference and that it looked nicer
and more natural looking with my skin tone.

After chatting for a while, I went back to the car to get my stuff.
As I was walking out, she mentioned that my walk had gotten a lot
better and more fluid. I was flattered, thanked her, and told her
that I've been practicing a lot.
I brought some shoes and dresses, as well as some new skirts and tops
I bought earlier in the week.
The first things I put on were a pair of dresses I ordered through
Victoria Secret. Last time I visited her, I had forgotten to bring
them and so I told her that I wouldn't forget this time. I wasn't
sure about one particular dress because, to me, it looked like
something an old lady would wear, but she fixed my hair, matched it
with one of my shoes, and said to look at myself in the mirror now.
It did the trick because, when I walked over to the mirror, I looked
great. It must've been the shoes. Next, I started putting on my tops
and skirts.
I would put on a certain combination then she would tell me how it
looks and make her recommendations. All in all, we came up with at
least 6 or 7 combinations that we really liked.

After I finished modeling, I put all my things back in the car and
asked if she wanted to grab lunch. She said yes, and then went to get
dressed. In the meantime, I slipped back into my black drap-neck
ruched top, women's Jeans, and black pumps. I asked her what she felt
like eating, but she said that she didn't have a preference so I
suggested the Panera Bread restaurant, since we didn't have to sit
and be waited on.

Once my friend finished dressing, we headed out.
We got to Panera and parked, then I got out of my car. I was a little
nervous, but I just stayed calm and walked how I've always been
practicing. My friend watched me and reassured me that I was doing
fine. When we walked in, it was about 11:30AM so the place wasn't too
busy, yet. There were a few people sitting and eating and some at the
counter placing their order. I glanced around to see if anyone was
starring or pointing at me, but nobody was, so far so good.

We walked up to the cashier, but I just gave my friend my money,
because I didn't want to speak since I knew my voice wouldn't be
feminine enough (I need practice), and so she placed our order
instead. After she paid, we went to get a table, but before that, we
walked over to the fountain machine to get our drinks. Now, as I was
walking towards it, there was an Asian woman just coming out of the
bathroom and, in the corner of my eye, I thought I saw her do a
double take as she walked by. Again, I stayed calm, acted naturally,
and proceeded to get my drink as if I didn't see her.

After we got our drinks, we looked around and found a table.
While we were waiting, my friend just kept smiling with the
reassurance that things are ok.
I played with my friend's 15-month-old daughter, while at the same
time, casually glancing around. I thought I noticed a few people
looking, but I just kept myself busy by talking to my friend and
making it appear like two girl friends having a friendly lunch
together. Every now and then, I would ask her if she noticed anyone
looking, but she just smiled and said no.
The place started to fill up with the 12:00PM lunch crowd so I was
starting to get a little nervous again.
They called my friend's name, but with more people coming in, walking
around, and lining up to place their order, I got a little hesitant
so I asked if she could get it and so she did.
She brought over our food and so we began to eat.
Again, I kept glancing around to see if anyone was looking and then I
spotted someone I knew from work so I looked away and just
concentrated on eating my lunch. She was pretty far way, but I just
kept doing my best to eat like a female and not draw attention.

Once we were done, we chatted for a while and then my friend spotted
someone she knew so, just in case that person saw her and wanted to
talk, she suggested that I leave ahead. So, I packed up my things,
said goodbye, and thanked her for her time and for joining me for
lunch. I brought a pair women's sunglasses so I put them on and
casually walked out to my car.

That was a fun and exhilarating experience. I was a bit nervous, but
I still had a great time doing it. That was only the beginning of my
day and so I didn't want this to end.
Right after lunch, I called a fellow crossdresser (Debbie) to let her know her that I
was coming. At our February meeting, she and I had a pleasurable
conversation and then we started talking about possibly doing a
shopping day, which she said she would be more than happy to take me.
I emailed her a few days after the meeting and mentioned that I was
planning on visiting a friend to model some clothes. She said that
if I wanted to come down, after, she would be free and so I told her
that depending on when I finish with my friend that I would give her
a call. She said ok and gave me directions to her place just in case.

I got in my car, started it up, and headed over to her place.
I arrived safely, and then she showed me around her house, as well
as, to her marvelous closet of dresses, tops, skirts, jackets, wigs,
and shoes. The dresses she showed me were very nice, trendy, and
stylish. She has a separate closet for her and one for her wife.
She said that some of her clothes were bought at a department store
and some were bought at the local Goodwill store.
She mentioned that there was a sale at JC Penny's and showed me a
nice women's suit (top and skirt) which she bought for about $10.00.
$10.00! Wow? It was a beautiful outfit and I couldn't believe she
bought it for that. The sale was still going on, so she figured we'd
check it out, just in case I might see something I like.
I was amazed at all the stuff she had. See all those nice clothes got
me excited and anxious. I knew I was going with someone who knows how
to shop and so I was looking forward to it.
We then touched up ourselves, got into the car, and headed out.

On our way to the mall, we talked about various things, such as our
past and about some of the funny things that she has seen and
experienced during the times she's been out.
She commended me for taking a big step and reassured me that things
will come to the point where I'm comfortable. She knows that this is
just the beginning for me and she's glad that she can be there to
help.
We also talked about women's clothing and the types of clothes they
would normally wear.
I mentioned that, for some time, I had been also been observing
various young women and made mental notes of the clothes that they
typically wear. She said that what I was wearing was perfect fine and
that I looked great. I really enjoyed our conversation. It was very
inspiring and encouraging and I really got a lot of it.

We arrived at the mall parking lot and parked by JC Penny, then I
took a deep breath and got out of the car.
She said not to worry, and that I'll do fine, so we started
walking and talking casually.
As we were getting ready to cross the street over to the main
entrance, there was a guy in car, coming up behind us. His windows
were rolled down, stereo blasting and, as he was driving past us, I
thought I saw him looking thinking he might make a comment, but all
he did was stop at the crossing and then drive on.

We walked inside and over to the women's section where the sales
racks were.
There were some nice dresses, but most of the sizes were small, so we
continued to look around at other racks.
Other women were browsing around the same area, but they didn't seem
to mind us so that made me feel comfortable.
We kept looking around even more and found some outfits that looked
like they would fit me so I grabbed 2 outfits (size 13 and 14) and a
jacket (size12) then went over to the dressing rooms.
I got to an open booth just in time because, right after I walked in,
I could hear more women coming and waiting.
As I was trying them on, I could hear two young high school girls in
the booth next to me, talking and trying on some formal dresses for a
prom. They were laughing and giggling, but I quietly tried on my
clothes.
I was going to go out and show my friend each outfit, but I just stayed
in my room because I was afraid that those waiting outside would take
the room.
After trying the dresses, I chose a black (size-14) dress jacket and
long skirt because it fit nicely.
The other two looked nice too, but were a little tight.
I then changed back into my clothes and proceeded to walk out. By
then, the coast was clear and most of the ladies and girls had
cleared out, but there were some other teenage girls waiting outside
the entrance.
In our talk on the way to the mall, she had mentioned about how
young girls can be brutal if they spot someone who doesn't look right
or trendy, especially a crossdresser, and they'll let you know by
giggling, making comments, or pointing. She said that that's
something that I didn't want to experience, but if I do my best to
look and act natural I'll be fine. I thought about what she said and
hoped that they wouldn't spot me. As I walked by, they glanced at me,
but didn't seem to notice anything strange about me. Whew! I passed the test!

I caught up with my friend, put back the outfits that didn't fit, and then
we started looking for an open cashier. There was one that had a line
of customers so we looked around for another, but as we walked
around, we spotted another sale rack and saw more nice dresses,
skirts and tops. I ended up finding a nice white drap-neck ruched
top, size 16, and went over to another dressing room. The dressing
room was actually in the children's area, but it wasn't so busy, so I
went in and tried it on. It seemed to fit and matched nicely with my
jeans, so I decided to get it.
I changed back, walked out, and caught up with my friend and then we
found an open cashier.
I didn't know if I should pay cash or credit, but at the last minute,
decided to pay credit because I only had a limited amount of cash,
which thought I might use later. I was hoping she wouldn't ask for my
ID, and she didn't, but I was worried about was my voice. I still
don't have that female tone so I asked mr friend to do the talking for
me. I did utter a few short words, but just talked low and lightly.
I had nothing to worry about because everything went smoothly. The
cashier rang me up, bagged up my clothes, and I signed on the dotted
line. After that, we left.

The next place my friend wanted to take me was to the Goodwill store.
As we walked out to the parking lot, she asked me to walk ahead of
her so that she could watch me and offer any constructive criticism.
Once we got to the car, she said that my walk was just fine and that
I would have no problems passing as female. That helped to soothe my
nerves because I was conscious of my appearance the whole time.
We got into the car and then we were off to our next destination.

We got to the Goodwill store and started looking around. They had all
kinds of women's apparel lined up neatly and organized into different
racks.
Up against the wall, they had all the one-piece dresses and then on
the main floor aisles of dress tops, jackets, skirts, pants, and
shorts you name it.
On some racks, they even had clothes organized by specific colors,
such as white, black, red, or blue. It was very neatly organized.
The only problem that we noticed with certain clothes was that some
didn't have a tag so if we saw something that looked nice we didn't
know what size it was. Oh well.

We browsed racks for a while and then my friend found a nice dark blue
jacket top with white poka dots, while I picked out two dresses.
One, was a short sleeve short skirt (just above the knee) rear zip
black dress and the other was a short sleeve short skirt (just above
the knee) navy blue dress with a floral pattern.
We then went into the dressing room to try them on.
As soon as I put on the black dress, it fit perfectly and it matched
my black pumps.
I walked out to show my friend and she said that it looked beautiful.
Sold!
Then, I tried on the navy blue dress and, again, it fit perfectly and
matched well with my black pumps.
We browsed around a little more, but didn't see anything else, so we
gathered our things, paid the cashier, and headed out.

My friend was starting to feel hungry so she asked if I wanted to catch
dinner. I said I was getting hungry too so she suggested we eat at
Applebee's restaurant. I thought about it (Hmm! public place? lots of
people? Nervous again!), but I did it earlier today so can do it
again. I'll just try not to talk loud when ordering.
We pulled into Applebee's, parked, and then my friend asked if I was
ready. I took a deep breath and said yes so we got out and walked in.
We went up to the hostess and asked for a table. I looked at her to
see if she seemed surprised by us, but she wasn't. We followed her
around the corner to a booth and then we sat. Then, a young African-
American male waiter came up and took our drink orders. He didn't
seem surprised by us either, and when he asked what I wanted to drink
I spoke in a low tone that I wanted iced tea.
After a few minutes, he came back with our drinks and then took our
orders.

While we were waiting, I had to use the ladies room. The place wasn't
so busy, but I was a little hesitant to go by myself, but my friend
encouraged me and so I went.
I walked down by the bar, but then there were two waiters talking and
kind of blocking my way, so I detoured around them and then headed
straight to restroom. As I walked around them, I saw them kind of
look at me so I thought to myself that they're going to spot me and
tell me to go to the men's room, but they didn't. They kept casually
talking while I proceed to enter the ladies room.
As I was walking in, the hostess was walking out and almost ran into
me. We kind of surprised each other, but she just said excuse me and
walked out the door. There was a mirror and, from the angle it was
positioned, I could see her as she walked out. She didn't look back
or anything so that made feel relieved. Whew! Passed another test.
At first, I thought someone else was in the bathroom, but nobody was
so I did my thing (sat down of course), freshened up, and walked out.

As I was walking, there were more waiters and waitresses standing
around, talking, and blocking my path so I walked along the upper
area where the booths were. More customers had come in and so most of
the booths were filled up. As I walked by, I could see a few people
looking at me, but I just stayed calm, acted natural, continued
walking, and sat back down. I did notice one couple, though, because
I could see that the woman kept looking in my direction. I tried not
to look at her, but I could see that she was talking to her hubby and
then looking in my direction.
I told my friend about the people looking at me and she just said not to
worry about it.
She said that people look around all the time and most people can
tell if someone looks suspicious by their body motions and eye
contact.
She said that I'm doing fine and, to them, they're probably looking
at me because I'm an attractive Asian woman.
After she mentioned it, I got to thinking, she's probably right. I
realized that I'm just not used to people looking at me. When I'm in
guy mode, I'm always looking around and if I spot someone attractive,
I'm definitely going to be looking at her because she's so beautiful.
And come to think about it, most of the people that were looking at
me, besides the couple, were men. Now the roles are reversed.

Our food finally came and we started eating. I did my best to eat my
chicken salad like a female. I used my fork and a knife to cut the
chicken into smaller pieces, and ate slowly. We continued talking
about things in general and then I noticed the couple that had been
looking at me leaving. As they were walking by, they didn't stare at
me and just kept walking by and out the door. So, my friend was right.
And yet, another test passed.
We finished dinner, paid our tab, and got back into the car. My friend
asked me, again, how I was doing and I said that I was fine. And then
she said, "Now that wasn't so back was it? And I said "No problem".
She said that I did very well for my first time and that did a great
job.

She started up the car and then we headed out.
She mentioned that she wanted to go back to the mall to check out
this wig shop she had visited, the week before, and figured I might
be interested in getting a new one. I wasn't sure if I wanted to,
since it was starting to get late and I had to start heading back
home, so I kept thinking about it and thinking about it, but at the
last minute, she made a left turn back into the mall parking lot. At
that time, I decided to go and so she jokingly said that I have to
make a quicker decision or we would've crashed. We laughed about it
and then found a parking spot.

We got out of the car and proceeded to walk towards the inner mall
entrance.
Now, there were two older gentlemen walking behind us as we
entered the mall, and my friend asked me if I noticed them checking us
out. I said I saw them, but had no idea that they were looking.
She wasn't sure which one of us they were looking at, but she
definitely knew that they were. We just chuckled and continued
walking until we got to the wig shop.

When we walked in, the lady attendant recognized my friend and asked if
we were looking for anything in particular. My friend said that we were
just looking around. I started checking out the various wigs while the attendant showed her around and so I got to thinking that maybe I
should look into getting a new one because the one I had was starting
lose its useful life. The whole day, I had been frequently brushing
it to keep in a particular style so I thought I'd better start
looking for a replacement.
After looking around, I found one that looked like it would best fit
me. The hair was a little bit longer, felt a lot more natural, and
looked really really nice.
The attendant asked if I would try it on and so she took me to the back room
where they had a booth with a mirror. She took off my old wig,
carefully slipped on the new one, and brushed it into a particular
style.
She gave me a hand mirror and then I walked up to full size mirror.
As soon as I looked at myself, I was amazed at how much better it
made me look. The new wig made a huge difference in my appearance
that I couldn't stop looking at myself.
My friend and the attendant said jokingly that I won't go away from the
mirror now.
We laughed and then she asked me if I would like to wear it out and I
most certainly said yes.
The wig was on sale so instead of charging me full price she gave it to
me for almost half.
I got some shampoo, conditioner, a special wig brush, and the total
came up to $110.00. Not bad for a new wig my friend said.
The cashier rang me up, boxed up the old wig, and bagged all my stuff.
We then thanked her for her time and then walked out.
After that, I thanked my friend for making that last minute turn into
the mall.
I didn't think I was going to get a new wig, but after that, I was
glad that I did.

We got in the car and headed back to my friend's home.
When we got there, I gathered all my bags and put them in my car.
Her wife was there and so I was able to chat with her for a while until
my friend brought out the camera. We took a few pictures and then she
showed me some jackets that she recently bought.
They were really nice and fit perfectly. I hope that next time I get
to visit, I'll be able to find some nice jackets like hers.

It was getting late, so I thanked her for taking me shopping and
that I really enjoyed our time together. She said that she was glad
that I had a great time and said that whenever I want to go again to
let her know. I said that I most definitely will.

I refreshened up, got in my car, and then head back home.
As I was driving, I started to reflect back on the whole day and how
it was such a great experience I'll always remember. I'm hoping that
next time I won't even be as nervous and have an even more enjoyable
time.

I'm hoping I can do it again in the near future so stay tuned!

Cheers!
