I'M SO EXCITED! The wife and I are going to Las Vegas this weekend. Already have a makeover scheduled for noon Saturday. I know that we will spend some time at the tables and the machines looking to win our fortune <lol>. (Last time I won over $1200.00... shhhhhh, don't tell the IRS). There's also a club there that we will probably go to for at least a few hours. Other than that, nothing else planned, sooooooooooo, what do you all think I should do while there? A show? A movie? Shopping? Tour the Hoover Dam? Audition for La Cage? Ride the roller coaster on top of the Stratosphere? Be creative! I wanna have a memorable time. What would YOU do if you had the chance?

Tristen- The Nevada economy will improve significently this weekend!
Derminator- But of course. True story... last time I was there, my wife and I went out to eat. I was so stunning <lol> that the waiter made a paper rose for me out of a napkin. He was so sweet! I promise to have LOTS of fun and be as femme as I can be!

Holly, I think it depends on where you are staying. For example, the Bellagio has those cool dancing fountaiins and pretty nice artwork. The Venetian has beautiful artwork from all over. The MGM Grand is a small city. There you can find A lion habitat, see a CBS show taping and spend alot of cash on a great dinner.
If you want a really realxing atmosphere and a killer steak, try the Craft Steakhouse in the MGM Grand. It is pretty $$ (i.e. prime rib for two without sides 78.00  ) Very tasty though. Plan on being there a couple hours as they are in no hurry what-so-ever. Best of all, they have a gal going around the tables who takes very professional photos. Was kinda $$ for dinner so we passed on that.
I have tons more ideas! :D
The best plan is NO plan. Tons more fun to be spontaneous! ;)
Have fun and save just enough cash for gas to get home!!!! :p

Letsdance- Thank-you soooo much for the suggestions. We're staying at the Sahara but it might be fun to ride the monorail down to the MGM and eat and play there for a while. I know we will have fun.
Okay now the rest of you, what should I do? Hurry up and respond because we leave tomorrow. Last chance I'll have to check for messages will be tomorrow morning 6:30 AM PST. I'd like to have some really interesting pictures to post when we get home. What would you like to see? (Be nice, I'm a lady,ya know... and a mom).

Holly, I thought this was the jury thread. OMG sounds like a great weekend. I presume you'll be spending most of your time dressed? Can't wait to see the pics. I've never been to Vegas (not a gambler), but if I went, you can bet I'd see some showgirls. Maybe you could join the chorus line. How high can you kick? :p

Hi Holly! Gamble, party and shop! When your done with all that though, go to the Stratosphere and ride all the rides up there! ;) I hear they sell "liquid courage" up there next to all the rides (alcohol!:D ) so theyre easier to ride. ;)

Hi Holly,
I agree with Vallari-Gamble, party, shop. And follow any other impulses you have. Wish I were in your shoes. As long as they're strappy heels.
If you ride that coaster, hang on to the wig!

Hi Girls,
We got home about an hour ago. The week was nothing short of spectular. I just wanted to let you know that we got home safely. I've got to get some sleep. I'll post all the wonderful details and some pictures tomorrow. There was also a huge, very positive movement with my wife and CDing. Stop back by tomorrow and let's talk. I love you all!

First of all, ladies, thank you for all your wonderful wishes and ideas for the trip. Things could not have gone better, even in my wildest dreams. Okay... here goes!
We left last Thursday (the 17th) in the early afternoon. We arrived in Vegas around 8:00 PM that evening and checked into the Sahara. Took our stuff up to the room (24th floor with a view of the Stratosphere). After we got settled in, we had a bite to eat at the Caravan Coffee Shop at the hotel. Then it was off to some adult gaming. Didn't win anything but had a nice time. Back to the room for some rest around 2:00 AM.
Got up the next morning and dressed (in drab :o() around 11:00 AM. Decided to go out so got the car and we headed to Glamour Boutique to confirm my makeover appointment for Saturday and asked if there was a nail salon that they could recommend. It was just a couple of blocks away so we drove over there and I made an appointment for a pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails and an appointment for my wife to get a full set of acrylic nails also. I had to be in at 7:45 AM for the pedicure and then the two of us were to go back at 11:45 AM for our nails. Then we drove down to the south end of the strip to try and get discount tickets to see “Mama Mia” playing at the Mandalay Bay. No luck. My wife was starting to get a headache so we went back top the hotel. We both went up to the room and she took some medicine and lay down. I went down stairs to the ticket counter inside the hotel one of the performers at the hotel was there talking to the ticket agent. His name is Justin Tranz and he is a hypnotist. We talked for about 15-20 minutes. I checked to see if there were any tickets for that night’s show and there were. I picked up a pair for the 10:00 PM show. While we were talking, my wife came down and she joined in the conversation. Had a nice visit. Got a bite to eat at the buffet and then some more adult gaming… again no wins. Headed to the showroom around 9:00 PM and waited for seating to begin around 9:30 PM. When they started seating the audience I slipped the gentleman a few dollars and we were seated right at the stage, dead center. The show started and Justin asked for volunteers. Well, being so shy and retiring, I did volunteer and was selected along with about 20 others from the audience. Before I knew it, I was out like a light. Can’t really tell you much about the show and neither can my wife. She went out in the audience and she wound up on stage also! Everybody said we were great. We’ll have to wait for the DVD to get here in a couple of weeks to see just how big of fools we made ourselves out to be. The show ended about 11:45 PM. Did a little more adult gaming and was in bed by 1:30 AM.
Up at 6:30 AM got dressed and off to the nail salon for my pedicure. The name of the salon is A Harmony Nails and Spa. The nail technician’s name is Paula and she is TG. We were the only two in the salon at that hour and we had a nice visit. She told me a little about herself and I was able to tell her some my cross-dressing journey. It was a lovely time and the pedicure was wonderful. Picked out a nice plumb color with a hint of pink in it for my nails… very pretty! I called her on the cell phone as I left the salon as she was already in the casino trying to make us millionaires. We met in our room and I began getting ready for my makeover. I showered and shaved, we packed a few things that I was going to need, got all my pretty under things on and at 11:30 AM we left and headed back to the nail salon. We got there at 11:45 AM and Paula was still working with another client and asked if we could come back in about a half hour. As neither of us had eaten anything that morning and there was a Jack-in-the-Box across the street, we said no problem and grabbed a couple of breakfast sandwiches. Got back to the nail salon at 12:15 PM and Paula was just finishing with her other client. She took us back to her nail station and started to work. She started on my wife first and started all the prep work on her hands. My wife decided to get hers done in French Tips. Paula got the nails glued on my wife and then started to prep me. I decided one a nice medium length nail with oval tips. Paula got my tips glued on then went back to work on my wife. All the while we all had a nice time visiting and just talking and talking. She finished with my wife and then went back to work on me. She got everything finished and then put the same color on my hands as she had put on my toes (OPI Japanese Rose Garden). They were beautiful. Then she put a design on one nail on each hand. It was in black and was like a shooting star and had silver glitter on it (Sorry Dana, I didn’t get any pictures but Paula took some and she is supposed to send them to me). Then it was off to Glamour Boutique and my makeover. Amy and Nichole are the two makeup artists there. They are both just the most wonderful and sweetest ladies. Amy sent me back to get dressed and then started to work her special magic. She is truly gifted. I sat in her chair in total awe as Holly started to emerge. As she finished I thought I was going to cry. In fun, she scolded me and told me not to because it would ruin my eyes. I was wearing a long black skirt and a black silk blouse. Amy said to wait there that she had something for me. She came back in a few moments with a blouse and said here, try this on. It was a lighter tan print with blue roses. It fit! She said it looks great on you… wear that. It’s my gift to you. Then we went into the photo studio and it was picture time. What fun! After pictures the three of us visited for a while (Amy, my wife, and I) until it was closing time. Then us three girls went out to get a bite to eat. We tried a place called Nichole’s but it was closed for remodeling. So we changed plans and wound up at a place called Hamburger Mary’s. It’s located right across the street from the Hard Rock Café. They are TG friendly. Amy had a Queen Mary hamburger (bunless), my wife had Fajitas and I had a Chicken Fajita salad. The food was great but the conversation was exceptional. We talked about dating, about boys, about kids, about everything! And my wife started talking about me using my femme name and female pronouns. You don’t know just how big that is. My heart leaped for joy! Before we left, I used the ladies room (a first for me in a public place). No problem. After that, we headed to Zingers, a TG friendly club on Sahara Avenue, maybe ½ mile from our hotel. Amy introduced us to some of the people there that she knew. The band that was playing weren’t much to look at but they sounded really good. We visited some more and had a couple of drinks. Then around 10:00 PM the show started. These are local T-girls who sing and/or dance. It was okay… a little young for a girl my age but for the most part it was fun. During the show, the wife of one of the owners (who happens to be a cross dresser) came over to our table and started a conversation with my wife. O-M-G! They hit it off immediately and chatted for 12-20 minutes. I couldn’t hear everything that they were saying but I could tell that at least part of the conversation was about cross-dressing husbands. I leaned over to Amy and whispered to her, “This is very good.” Amy shook her head, yes. Amy had to leave before the show was over but my wife and I stayed. We met a few of the other girls and in general had a nice time. We left about 11:15 PM and headed back to the hotel. We valet parked the car and went inside and headed for the casino. We found my wife’s favorite bank of Keno machines and settled in. We played Keno and talk, and talked, and talked. We talked about winning lots of money, we talked about how sad it was that we couldn’t stay longer, and finally the conversation turned to my cross-dressing. I don’t remember the exact words because I was in shock that she actually brought it up. She asked if I had any desire to go further with this part of my life. I assured her that cross-dressing is as far as I intend to go. Physically altering my genetic gender is not something I desire. I think she wanted to hear that. I thought that I had told her that before. If I did, she needed to hear it again, if I didn’t, I should have. I explained that Holly is as much a part of me as my full male persona and that the two are ingrained with one another. If one dies, the other goes, too. The male me depends on Holly for balance in my life. We played for a short time and then she leaned over and KISSED me and told me that she loved me. Now, I have known for over 36 years that she loves me. But the fact that she kissed me in public as Holly without any prompting from me nearly brought me to tears again. I looked at her and said that I didn’t think that I could love her any more that I already did but she proved me wrong and my love for her grew even greater at that moment. We played Keno for a little while longer and then SHE suggested that we play Blackjack at a table. By now, it’s probably 2:00 AM Sunday morning. Still lots of people in the casino. We go up from our Keno machines and looked for an open table where we could both sit and play. It took two trips around the pit (I didn’t care… I looked great) and we found a table with a couple of open seats. We sat down, opened our purses and got out some money to buy chips. None of the other players snickered as I sat down. No one ran away. I was accepted as just another blackjack player at the table… blond hair, blue eyes, tan blouse, long black skirt and 2” black heels. We talked with the other players and the dealer and had such a nice time. We played Blackjack for about 45 minutes and then headed back to the Keno Machines. We played and talked some more and finally made it upstairs about 4:30 AM. One of the five greatest days of my life!
Got up Sunday morning around 11:00 AM. Took a little longer to get going than either of us wanted. My wife helped me with my makeup but got so frustrated as some things didn’t go exactly as she wanted them to. I love her for that because she wanted to make sure I looked my best. I put on a pair of grey slacks, a burgundy top and a pair of silver heels. It was almost 3:00 PM before we really got going. We went downstairs because I wanted to try again to get tickets to “Mama Mia.” The young lady at the ticket counter said I looked really nice and that she was a performer, too. (Did she think I was appearing on the strip?). I think it made my wife feel a little better about the makeup she had done. She wasn’t feeling very good that day anyway. Well, we did get the tickets for 9:00 PM show that night. We needed a few things so we got the car and went to the bank ATM for some cash and stopped at a Sav-On drug store to pick up some makeup and a few other things. Nobody left the store when we walked in. I checked out at the check stand. They didn’t refuse to take my money. We then headed to another store we had heard about to try and find a lower heel shoe for me. Unfortunately they didn’t have anything but the did have the cutest denim pantsuit with trim on the collar and on the pant cuffs, and rhinestones on the top. It was on sale. I asked if I could try it on. It fit. It’s mine! We went back to the hotel, put out purchases away in our room, then got on the monorail for the ride down to the MGM Grand on our way to the Mandalay Bay and our show. From the MGM, we walked to New York, New York then across the street to Excalibur, and there we got on a tram to Mandalay Bay. By now it’s almost 7:00 PM and we are both starving. We got a table at the Red, White, and Blue Deli inside the Mandalay Bay and had a nice meal. The waitress was nice enough to take a picture of us. After we ate, we headed toward the showroom. We were a little early so we sat down at some Mama Mia slot machines. After we played for about 5 minutes, I won over $100.00. That was fun. About 8:00 PM we went inside but they wouldn’t seat us until 8:30 PM so we sat in the lobby and talked and watched people. My wife spotted a couple and said that they were talking about me. We watched them for a couple of minutes. I smiled at them and that was the end of that. We went in and took our seats and the show started promptly at 9:00 PM. It’s a really cute show and if you like the music of Abba, you will like this show. The show got out about 11:45 PM. We wandered around, trying to find our way back to the tram. We got lost and had to ask for directions. When we got to the platform, it was beginning to drizzle. Glad we remembered our umbrellas. While we were waiting for the tram, a group of young people wanted to start up a conversation with us. My wife was wonderful and handled them with tact and grace. What could have turned out poorly was a non-incident. We finally got back to New York, New York and decided to play there for a while. We walked around but couldn’t find any machines we liked. Played “The Price is Right” for a few minutes and then decided to leave. We walked across the street to the MGM. As we were walking through the casino, a young man ran up behind us and stopped us and asked me if I was a transsexual or a drag queen. I told him neither, that I was a cross dresser. He seemed genuinely interested and we spoke for several minutes and my wife was by my side the whole time. She’s wonderful. His curiosity satisfied, he thanked us and we were on our way. By now it’s around 12:30 AM Monday morning. I had to go to the bathroom. We were in a section of the property that was not busy at all. We had a short discussion as to which facility I should use. She thought I should go in the men’s room. I told her I thought I would cause more of a ruckus in there than in the ladies room. She agreed. She went in first to check it out. Nobody was inside. In we went. I took care of what I had to do and we left. Then it was on to the monorail platform. When we got there it was raining and the system was not running. They said it would be running again shortly but after ½ hour we gave up and got a cab back to our hotel. We were both tired, and even though my wife wanted to gamble some more she know she needed some rest so we went to bed around 2:00 AM. Very long day.
Monday morning we got up around 9:00 AM. We showered and got dressed. I wore my new denim pantsuit. My wife again helped me with my makeup and it went better than the morning before. We checked out of the room around 11:00 AM and checked our bags at the bell desk. We went to the coffee shop and had breakfast. Then it was off to the Keno machines for a little more play before it was time to go home. We talked some more about the things we had seen and done during our stay. Neither one of us wanted to leave. Finally around 2:45 PM we got in our can and headed to Glamour Boutique to say goodbye. Amy was off but Nicole was there and so was Jackie, a CD we had met last October. We visited for a few minutes and left about 3:15 PM. Stopped for some gas and were on our way home. We got home around 8:30 PM.
This was an incredible weekend for me. My wife drew closer to Holly and I love her more than ever. I think she is going to join the forum. If she does, I know you girls will welcome her. I know this was really long but I just wanted to share this with the people I love and care about. This was a weekend of firsts for me… first time out in public other than on Halloween or performing, first time shopping en femme, first time trying on clothes en femme, first time to a show in femme, first time riding public transportation en femme… what a weekend. I have lots of pictures I’m trying to format for this forum. Please be patient with me. Love to you all!

Here's a picture of the outfit I wore when we went out to eat at Hamburger Mary's to Zingers, and in the casino at the Sahara where we played Keno and Blackjack. The blouse is the one Amy, my makeup artist, gave me. She is soooooo sweet and has become like the flesh and blood sister I never had. I didn't wear the hat out.

Hi Holly,
I'm sorry I took so long to respond to your fabulous weekend. Reading the account made me so happy for you and also brought tears to my eyes at times. The kind of honest and true love your wife and you share always does that to me. That kind of connection with someone is what it's all about.
As you know, I had a weekend of similar firsts recently, on a smaller scale, so I can relate to the things you were feeling, as you were given the opportinity to blossom and just be you. So much fun. So liberating. And sharing it with your SO and best friend only makes it that much more special.
Thanks for sharing the pics with all of us. You are simply stunning, girl. I am so happy for you.
Hugs,
Melissa :)

O-M-G sista, your story was soooooo good that I near cried. and the makeover pics are stunning. I can't believe someone read you. And your wife give her a kiss on the cheek and tell that it is from paula. I am just so happy that you and your S.O. had such a wonderful time. You must still be on cloud nine from that trip. It is so nice that the two of you could do that. I am thinking of showing my wife your story and pics and telling her that is what I want to do next time we go to vegas. We were there last sept. and we want to go again. I'd like the address of the glamor bouitique for our next trip, I'd love to have a makeover. Any way I just can't tell you how happy I am for you. rock on sista. love paula.

Way to go Holly!! :D You got to live what a lot of us only dream about. The outfits, the makeover, the shopping, the shows, the everything. And best of all your wife right there with you to share the whole expirence. And you won some money too!! :D Does it get any better than this!!!!!
Hugs and kisses, Noel

Hi Girls,
Its been almost a week and I'm still excited. Here's a few more pictures (thanks to DanaJ for helping format them). The first two are the outfit I wore when we went to see Mama Mia at Mandalay Bay. The third is at the entrance to NY NY in Vegas. Number four is where I won 450 quarters on a slot machine. The last is my buying some things I needed at a SavOn durg store in Vsgas. Hope you enjoy! There are some more, if you're interested.

What would YOU do if you had the chance? In Vegas, I would remember that one is on camera at all times, even in the rest room. :p
