Hi Girls.

I have been dressing fully for over 25 years during this time I have been out dressed in the day shopping with my wife and at times by myself. In the early days I did not have any problem with going out and the only problem I would have had is if I needed to talk too long. So my wife ordered when we went to lunch etc.

Whenever I go out and I need the bathroom I use the ladies and I was just thinking how many of you girls do the same when out. So what I would be interested in knowing is when you are out dressed and you need the loo do you, hold it until you get home, or use the ladies?

If you use the ladies are you nervous, get a thrill from it or just take it as normal?

As I have said I use the ladies and in most parts I just treat it as normal, but I do get a thrill seeing all those shoes under the cubicles. :D

The clubs that I go to, it wouldn't matter which bathroom I use. There are men and women sharing both bathrooms. The bathrooms were a place people would hang out, sometimes more things went on in the bathrooms than in other parts of the club. The bathrooms were quite fun.
Some clubs I went to the bathrooms were disgusting with water all over the floor. When I went to these kinds of clubs I would wait or if I had to pee, I would go outside in the street, where no one could see me. I know this doesn't sound lady-like, but for NYC this isn't as strange as it sounds.

I would try to avoid the bathrooms in the parks. I went into the men's room in Washington park in half dress. And the bathroom was filled with guys just standing around, all of them had a pervert look on their face. They were at the urinals, but they weren't peeing. I went to the stall to go there and there was this guy sleeping there. I couldn't go, I ran home and went there.

You see,,, now you know why it is sometimes better to pee in the street. The bathrooms can be quite disgusting.

Hi Amelie.

Thank you for your great reply, it sound horrific in some parts of New York particularly in the parks. I must remember to go to the bathroom before going to the parks if ever I visit NY. LOL

Amelie's right, at gay clubs nobody cares which you use.

But in other public places like restaurants etc, I would be nervous in either restroom and I can easily envision someone making a scene. If you go to the men's, you're in the gender correct place, but you are obviously going to be noticed and perhaps suspected of being on the prowl. If you go to the ladies', you might not be read, but if you are, someone might freak, maybe complain. It's a dlilemma.

One solution is to do what I do when scouting clubs: call ahead to find CD-friendly places. If the issue comes up, be upfront and ask the management what their preference is.

The "family" bathrooms at malls are nice if you can find one that's free. They're usually one room with a locking door. In other cases you do run the risk of getting in trouble with the ladies room. If a woman in there freaks out there could be a lot of trouble. Also, as Sherri said, scout ahead. There's lots of small stores in mini-malls that have a "men/women" restroom (one restroom for either).

Sherri, this is also true with the straight clubs in NYC. The bathrooms were basicly co-ed. I don't know if they are still like this, but I can't see them changing back to the old ways of men only and women only bathrooms. If anything the bathrooms today are probably more open and wild.

Like I said before, the bathrooms in the straight clubs in NYC was where most of the action took place. More stories have been told about the goings on in the bathroom than in the rest of the club. These bathrooms were like this since I first went out in the late 70's.

Girls loo's.
Just do what I need to do and go. Don't hang around doing your makeup, just be quick.

Here in the "Colonies" for you girls from across the pond, laws will vary should "a sceen" be created. If you are dressed and you go out then I would assume that you sense the fact that you are making a valid attempt to "Pass." Most of us will tell you, first plan your trip, i.e., going to a movie, don't drink a lot of liquids before you leave or even while you are there.
However, if the situation presents itself and you just gotta go - use the ladies room: Go in like you belong there, do your thing FEET FORWARD!!!!!!, adjust yourself, wash your hands and leave. Do not engage in conservation, fix your make-up etc. Get in and get out. Needless to say there are exceptions as some of us pass better than some GG's so you know wheterh or not you can get away with "hanging out in the girls room!" It is my considered opinion that you would have a lot more trouble than you would want to deal with using the men's room.
Smile, be confident and remember you are an ambassador for all of us and you are presenting yourself as a lady, act like one!!

This was mentioned earlier in this thread, but I can't stress enough about using the bathroom before going out and about. I've don this every time I've gone out to a public place. One time at a community center I was able to use the ladies room after I asked which bathroom they preferred I use. I guess the fact that nobody else was really there had something to do with it, but it never hurts to ask. I'm not brave enough or do pass well enough yet to get away with just going into the ladies room in a public place yet. Someday perhaps...

Of course I use the ladies... Usually when I'm out dressed I'm shopping and if the mall didn't close I'd probably live there and I can't hold it that long...And to answer your second question...No I treat as normal..after all it is normal (last time I checked at least) for a girl to use the ladies restroom.

Hi Sandra:

I personally always use the Ladies when out enfemme. The thought of holding it until you get home would not be a healthy or wise alternative. In another post, I had stated that here in Canada there are already a few of the Provinces that are on record as saying to "Use the washroom of the gender in which you are presenting yourself" Although that already said, as has been already mentioned here, esentially you go in, do what you have to do, and then get out with as little fuss as possible. If you must touch up makeup, you should have a makeup mirror in your purse and do the touch up while in the stall. Don't do it in front of a huge mirror. Just wash your hands and leave. In my quite literally hundreds of outings and Ladies Washroom use, to date it has never been an issue for me. It likely will not be for you Ladies either povided you don't make it one.
