View Full Version : Middle Name Ideas

Tristan

Just been thinking over what I want to change my name when I get to that point. I've decided on Tristan I love the name and I feel really comfortable with being called Tristan. I glow a bit every time they use my name in group and counseling what can I say! I've always thought maybe Joseph for a middle name but not sure. The trouble is I want the initials TJ so I'm trying to find a really cool middle name that starts with J. Any ideas?

tristan sounds good to me, very old (tristan and isolde)

I'm personally going for Benjamin Gabriel when I change my name.

Tristan James

I looked at a whack of J names and I must say that although I like a lot of them I think a one syllable middle name works better with Tristan.

I like James too.

thats why i suggested James because Tristan is two syllables, the middle name really has to be two or one to sound right, as you said one syllables works better, whereas Kieron works well with a two syllable name like Andrew

*ponders*

Tristan
Tristan Joseph
Tristan James
Tristan Jay
Tristan Javier
Tristan Joachim
Tristan Jehosephat
Tristan Jeremiah
Tristan Jonas
Tristan Jeremy
Tristan Jacob
Tristan Jordan
Tristan Justin
Tristan John
Tristan Job

and yeah my last name will be two syllables too so don't want to make the name so long. I do like the idea of just being a wise guy and just making it Tristan J where the J stands for nothing lol. I'd say Jordan, Joseph, Jay, and James are probably are the top ones I'm considering. Maybe I just need to see if my mom will practice yelling at me using all these names. Get a real feel for which one is right. lol

btw I've added a poll with my faves so far. You can vote for more then one if you are really stuck or shoot off some more ideas.....

Jacob/Jakob/Jakub
Jaiden/Jayden

Jared/Jarrad/Jarrod/Jerod
Jeff/Jefferson

but i still like james the best

I really do like Jeremiah too, Das and Kieron, but it's my half-brothers first name so thought that might be odd. heh

I like James the best but you could also be clever and just use J

Some actors have had to use an initial to seperate them from other performers

Well Tristan is soo right for your 1st name.
It really goes with how you look and your personality

And there's something about Joseph that does seem right for you too.. especially when preceded by Tristan lol!

I don't know why!

Just seems to fit right lol!

Since J's are really I's, then you could J-ify the I in Isolde, and be Tristan Jsolde.

Especially if your last name's Wagner.

So many good choices how does a boy choose?? Though Jay was what Mark suggested right off, but then if we break up or something I'll be stuck with that reminder forever of the name he thought of for me... which could be good or bad.... heh I still like Joseph and James is cool too...... and an odd part of me would do Jehosephat just to be funny.... lol

I was just trying to find a reason for the "Jumpin' Jehosephat" joke. :p

Trist, I guess you've never seen Yosemite Sam say that (among other colorful expressions). :heehee:

BTW guys, my son also went to the party last night so Das got to meet him (the king of sarcasm :heehee:). He had a good time and thanked me for inviting him. He said he enjoyed meeting the "transformers" (as he calls us). :p

Usually when it comes to middle names you usually go with the gender. Female 1st name, Female middle name. Male 1st name, male middle name.

I had a dream last night where the name Tristan Jay Michael came to me. I dunno though... some pple think Michael was odd for a last name. But in the dream it just seemed like that's the name I was always meant to have. Which is a bit bizzare cuz never thought of Michael for a last name before.

well you could always have two middle names...... Michael jay, or Jay Michael being them.....prefer it the Michael jay way round, it rolls off the tongue better i think

lots of ppl i know have 2 middle names
