Hi Girls,

A week ago I found a support group for TV's, TG's & TS's in Newcastle and I thought I would contact them and I began emailing Michelle the founder of the group which meets every Wednesday in a PUB. Anyway she asked me to come to the meeting but it was impossible that evening for me, so she suggested I come to her flat the following night and I could change there. Well the first thing I thought of this morning when I woke up can I do it? There was a boulder in my stomach the size of a football and as the day wore on it turned to butterflys like dive bombers and I still didn't know if I could do it. It got to 5 o'clock and and I began to get ready and gave my legs a good shave, my wife asked me if I was going and I said I was but without much conviction. I packed my femme clothes and I was ready to go and now I was really shaking but I got into the car and away I went and soon I was at Michelles flat, she opened the door and before I knew it we were chatting like two old ladies. Then I began to get dressed and then I realised that I had left my bra filling at home but no worries she lent me some and then put my make up on for me, gave me a handbag , lent me a coat and out we went. My mouth was like the sahara desert and I was trembling like a leaf but soon we were at the pub and we went in, straight up to the bar , ordered our drinks and sat down to drink them. No one batted an eyelid and everyone was very friendly and talkative (We were the only TV's in the place) and I began to settle down and enjoy myself. I even paid a visit to the ladies loo (I never thought I'd ever do that) Before I knew where I was I was going to the bar and ordering drinks myself from a straight barman and I felt like I was walking on air. When the time came to leave I was really sorry to be going but I felt elated and wonderful and I can't wait to do it again. Now I want to go out shopping and see what kind of a buzz that is.

Well done Toni, I can imagine how you felt, before, during and after! Probably something I'll never experience. How does your wife feel about it? I need some tips on how to convince mine that there is everything to gain and nothing to lose about CDing.
From one Toni to another, well done mate. I wonder how many more there are of us in the UK. Can I guess what your real drab name is?

All the best,
Toni

That's great Toni. Glad you managed to get out and had the necessary support to do so.

Better make an inventory list for next time so you won't forget anything. :D

Way to go,Ducky! Is Newcastle in Northants? I was stationed at RAF Molesworth in the fifties.Seems like I recall a Newcastle on the way to Kettering.

Hi Jerry Kay,
Sorry but the Newcastle I live in is 200 miles north of where you were stationed, I think the one you mean is Newcastle under Lyme. Thank you girls for your kind comments - couldn't have done it without your support.
