I was shopping today and one of my stops was a CVS Pharmacy to pick up some eye shadow. As I was browsing the Maybelline display looking for Vanilla shadow, a woman (in her late forties) nearby addressed me. She wanted some advice on makeup selection and application.
Somehow I was able to keep my jaw from dropping all the way to the floor and with 2 1/2 inch heels on that would have been a long drop. I told her that I was far from a makeup artist, but I'd help.
We chatted about eye makeup and whether and when to use 1, 2, 3, or 4 shades. She picked up a 2-color eye shadow and we said good-bye.
That was most definitely a new experience for me and really brightened my day and lifted my spirits.
