Recognized a member

On thursday I recognized someone in this forum.

let me explain. Our support staff were short the other day and I was on the phone helping the on call technicians troubleshoot some problems. They couldn't get some of the lines to work for our client so I had to step in and make the trip to Manhattan.
When I was there I was working near one of the board rooms then I saw this guy. somehow he looked familiar and I didn't know why. I figured it would hit me sooner or later so I just put it aside.
I was almost finished and I was talking to the receptionist, summing up about the work we had done. she had to step away for a while and I watched her as she was walking away. I thought to myself "I wish I had a body like that. I would make anything I wear look good too." then it struck me. I know him from this forum, from his picture.

I'm not going to say who it was, but I'm wondering if I should have said hello. I have no reason to go back there on Monday but I wonder if I should have said something or did I do the right thing by keeping Quiet.

If you know him from this sight, drop him(her)a message just to say hi and that you say him(her). Maybe he might have recognized you too. I don't believe a work place confrontation would have been appropriate, but acknowledgment later down the road might be appropriate. Besides, you are always going to run the chance of someone recognizing you when you post a profile and pic.:2c:

if i saw a member in public i would respect there privicy. i might pm them later say hey saw you in soanso store yesterday or whatever but that would be it unless they wanted to talk. cp
