View Full Version : Do 'TUMMY TRIMMERS' work?

Hi girls, I'm a slim person but I must confess to having a slight tummy bulge, I've seen so-called 'tummy trimmers' advertised and am tempted to try one. They are reinforced elastic and look more comfortable than a corset. Has anybody tried them? I'd love to improve my figure.

Linda. :)

My dear tummy slimmers are the best thing since sliced bread! They work absolutely.

I have one of the best brands available and the piece I always recommend has a corset style waist cincher with a breast booster in the top piece and on the bottom it has a corset style tummy tuck waist cincher in a long legged brief. I sell 10 or 15 of these a week and all of my customers rave about them.

Needless to say 99.9% of my customers are crossdressers. If you have an interest in tummy tuckers or waist cinchers or slimmers it makes sense to look into them because they would not have lasted this long if they didn't work.

Love to you,
Theresa

Yes me dear they do work! And I've got more ample curves than you it sounds but they do. Look for firmness (some say "light control" while other say "firm control"). Try them on, especially with the outfit you'd like to wear with them. Some good brands are Flexees, Ganz, Rago..... And many others, go to a high end store is my recommendation. G'luck sweety!

Yes, but are they as erotic as a corset?

Yes they do, but with some of us they're fighting a losing battle...

I ordered myself an actual corset last week... I sure hope it will work well ;)

Thanks to all you girls for responding, I've looked up the suggested sites and will be pursuing this further.

Not as erotic as a corset? mmm, no! but the control extends to more of the body from what I've seen, and isn't a corset more tricky to put on without help?

Hugs,

Linda. :)

Agreed, it's a corset that does it for me. But what about a shaper underneath for the best of both worlds?

Toni, I'm wondering now if 'shaper' is what I meant! What I saw advertised originally was a garment that started just under the bust and finished just above the pantie line, it gave a really curvy shape, and is claimed to be undetectable through outer clothes.

I thought about posting a picture of it, but I'm not sure it's allowed.

Thanks a lot for that input.

I'm sure you can post a picture of lingerie, even if theres a pretty girl wearing it. As long as its not pornographic (i.e.: no sexual intercourse going on), it should be fine.

But anyways, from the way you describe it, it sounds more like a corset.

Shapers come in many forms, and there's a number of them on Theresa's Ebay site (follow her Spa Skin Style link above). They are stretchy, and can cover the whole torso, start below the breasts, finish at pantie line (called waspies or waist trimmers) or even extend half way down the thighs. Some of them used to be called girdles and they do re-shape the body (the extent depends on the firmness of control) and there is some erotic appeal in being "held in" by one, but for me, only if it's got boning and laces up real tight, is it a corset, and yes Linda, it is not easy to put on by yourself, but for super slim waists and ultimate erotic appeal, it can't be beaten. Theresa sells shapers, so she must be the expert on this subject.

Hi all,

I think that foundation garments work - choose what you like the best, and there's no law (except the laws of physics) against layering them if you want to!

Once on QVC they were selling waist cinchers (no boning, I believe) in pairs and they even suggested something which I do with boned ones from Kmart - use 2 of them, with one in the normal position around the waist, and another higher, which turns any bra into a long line.

I can offer assistance in any area of shapers. My site is slow this evening with stock but I always have a storeroom full so if anyone has any questions I can help.

I always recommend going with the lightest garment with the firmest fabric. If you want to get bones - we do bones - it is not really necessary in these times but boy oh boy does it do great things for your posture and bosom.

Ladies of the "crossdressing" persuasion, tend to need "higher" tummy control. I always go for the corset style - hook and eye closures, up the front that have underbust boosting - but these have wonderful -waist cinching abiliities as well.

These are called the two piece corset cinchers in my store. The other good ones are the high man tummy's. The high cut high man tummy's are great and the high man tummy's go all the way up to just under the breast to give you a smooth line from mid thigh to boobs.

Lots of love. Feel free to email me.

They work very nicely. Getting a shape is one reason I like them. Erotic? Well anything tight makes me feel sexy so hell yeah(maybe not as much as a good corset though) :)

Hi I think what works better than a tummy trimmer is just get on the ball and do the routines that they show and you will beef up the ABs and trim your tummy at the same time I am working on it :) .

Hi Georgette, I do try honest! I walk about 6 miles a day regardless of weather and work out in the gym when I can, but that darn bulge (not that big) won't go! Maybe I should eat less.

Yes eating less I went from about 2000 calories a day to about 1000 to 12000 each day and watch my fat in take not only to lose weight but to keep my heart healthy. as you noticed I just had stentz's put in and the Doc said to watch fatty foods. I do and I hope to be around for a long time.
Yes i walked at least 2 miles each day somewhere in the mall or out side if it is not raining, yes we have our fill of rain here in the valley of the sun,(damn I wish it would quit).
Good luck on weight.

Hi Tristen, I'm hoping that I can post a picture of the tummy trimmer now. I have reduced the size of the picture as instructed. Do I need to do new thread or can I attach picture in POST REPLY.

Hi Girls, I think I can now show you the tummy trimmer, what do you think? I had to fiddle with the picture to reduce the size.

I have ordered 2 (cheaper that way) I think they will do the job and they look quite comfortable.

Hugs Linda. :)

Linda, these work a bit, but nothing beats a corset if you are wearing clothing that that it will not be noticed under, or if you use it as attractive outer wear. My problem is these products for women are seldon sized for a small waist to begin with and for me, the smallest I can find is not very effective.

Look at some of my posts prior for som info:

I will look for this at the local "As seen on TV" store tomorrow and let you all know if I find it.

Hi Felicity, thanks for that very helful info, the swimwear sounds great and may be the answer for me. I know how effective corsets are and with the added bonus of being so sexy, but I guess I'm wanting to be pulled in with minimum hassle. Oh for the hourglass figure LOL. :)

Maybe one day I'll look into buying a corset, but in the meantime I've had good success with girdles and body shapers.
