I get these small, but stubborn break-outs that just last for weeks. On Monday, I treated myself to some very high-end aftershave gel with all-natural ingredients and no alcohol. Have been using it for 2 or 3 days, and the acne's about gone. All of it.
Anyway, the brand is The Art of Shaving, and can be found at www.theartofshaving.com. It doesn't say so on their labels, but I wrote and asked about animal testing -- they don't do any. I quite like the sandalwood scent; it's not as strong as cologne, but there's a little hint there.

Well, I'm glad you found something that works for you. Are you sure it's acne and not sensitivity to shaving or shaving products? If you're right, I wonder what ingredients the after shave gel has (salicylic acid?) that would clear up the breakouts. Thanks for the tip.

Alcohol is known to make acne worse, so by finding a gel without it I bet you would be in a lot better shape.
I've treated my acne since I was a teen, and still do, I've always been able to keep somewhat of a handle on it, but recently my sister bought me the Pro-Active starter kit, while it may not work for everyone I certainly think it's the best treatment. The key is the regimen, exfoliating soap, an astringent and then moisturizer...
You can also check out acne.org lots of good information there, and they also mention the regimen being an important part of it all.

Cool advice peoples! I often wonder about will I get acne if I go on T (oh the joys of puberty & hormones!) and how I would deal with it, so it's good to read about stuff like this. Ta fer sharing!
Very awesome about the no testing on animals  I like to check that too
I get achni that goes with hormones (horror!), and nothing but nothing has ever worked on it, untill I got my first 'mens' facewash (which I picked because the name amused me), and that worked fine. Hm... a mistory. Perhaps men's stuff just workes better in general (it's male hormones that gives you spots in the first place)
glad you are now spot free, however it workes
