To set the background...back in the 70's when I started going out publicly in Los Angeles I used to see this t-girl from time to time at tg venues. I'll call her Sabrina (because I don't remember her name, and it sounds sexy, which she was...) but we never spoke to one another, I wasn't even sure she ever noticed me.

Fast forward a dozen or so years. One afternoon I went to a t-bar in San Francisco en femme. There was Sabrina, we sat and chatted like old friends. She commented on how good I looked now, but that when she first saw me in Los Angeles, I looked awful.

After our chat, I started for the bar but was confronted by another t-girl who sat me down and started asking all sorts of questions, all the while staring me square in the eye. I was relieved to finally get away from her, and resumed my trip to the bar. Sabrina came up from behind, and handed me my driver's license and a credit card, which the other girl had pilfered out of my purse during the grilling. Sabrina warned me to be more careful. She turned out to be a real friend...

Mitzi, now that's a great friend! I guess we have to look out for one another. I'm glad to hear you got those items returned, it could have spelled disaster. Hold on to that purse tightly in the future!:hugs:

Mitzi, nice story with a good ending. The few times I have been out I have worried about my purse particularly if I got up to dance or something.

That was the only time another t-girl tried to hustle me. In the early years of going out, I'd sometimes go to bars where most of the girls were "working girls", just as a place to go dressed. From time to time, cops would come in to check for any shady stuff going on. Some of the girls were friendly, but most just ignored us outsiders. I never felt threatened (except when the cops showed up) so I guess I naively assumed t-girls wouldn't harrass other t-girls without provocation.

Oh well, live and learn...
